about kazuha: kazuha is a born noble, yes. he's like one of those guys who came out of those fairytale stories. he's too good to be true indeed... and built different. and that what makes me grown shy when i stood idly around him.. what? i like him? you mean- platonically right? right...?

about kazuha's patience: he's unbelievably patient with me. i at first joining in his travels, my stamina is weak than you imagine. he's being considerate with it and put that specific place to explore onto last. this guy is so surreal...

about shikanoin heizou: dear me. don't get me started with him... i may be a flexible person but he usually lures me to an escape room. archons.. the consequences of getting close with him. *sigh* nevertheless, he's fun to be around as we share the same interests.

kazuha tried to be patient he really did, but how could you not see how he stared at you like you were the one who hung up the stars in the sky, how the haikus he reads for you is about you, how his touches linger for only a moment but that moment means so much. he didn’t know someone could be this dense, but perhaps his feelings will be acknowledged sooner that he thought they would.

the very moment kazuha walked into this cafe, everyone who’s casted their eyes on him never took their eyes off. they we’re basically trying to flirt with him with their eyes! now he was ordering your coffees while the bartender was gazing at him like a puppy in love. he sat next to you with a smile but you never returned it because you were on your phone. bored, kazuha took a small glance at whatever else you were busy with on your phone that you didn’t even spare him a glance! you were texting one of your friends nothing wrong with that, right? wrong. you exited the messaging screen and there popped up all of the people you recently texted, obviously. what caught his attention was that his name didn’t have a cute contact name?! then, an amazing idea popped into his head.

the second it happens, he can feel this deep, carnal regret erupt from within him. he shouldn’t have allowed you to come with. you should have stayed at wangshu inn and awaited his return. now a shower of rocks cascades upon the two of you and he stumbles for a moment to reach out for you. “xiao, wait!”

hearing his name, he’s stunned when your hand collides with his chest and he gets pushed back. the pit of his stomach dropping as you’re flung backwards and thrown into the mountainside. he can barely call out your name before the tides of his anger erupt to eliminate his enemy.

xiao is at your side in an instant and the second you know it, you’ve returned to the inn. he’s trying to stay calm and assess your injuries. all the while silent and eerily passive. “xiao, are you hurt?” and that’s when he finds himself staring at you. his eyes gloss over for a moment and he can’t seem to stop shaking.

“you’re hurt. why are you asking me such a thing? i should have protected you instead,” he whispers into your palm when you clasp his cheek. your body tenses but you know the injuries will heal. “i’ll always protect you though. so don’t worry, i’m right here.”

blade in hand, he’s always relied on you to watch his back. however, your travels to mondstadt have taken quite the turn. blocked by the road, the two of you make quick work of the last treasure hoarders. “i believe that takes care of all of them,” he says, briefly looking over you for any blemishes.

your mouth opens to answer but he’s unsure whether or not you truly spoke as the next thing he knows he’s tumbling to the dirt; dust flies up into the air and taints the surroundings a misty brown. he can barely see but through the dust he can make out your figure hovering over him.

“kazuha…?” you gasp, stumbling back and into his arms as he’s just barely gotten up. the last wounded treasure hoarder stands above you, crossbow empty and arrow lodged in your thigh. kazuha’s quick to avenge you. but his eyes widen in a mute horror as he drags you away from the danger.

blood stains his fingers as he works diligently to patch you back up safely. “please don’t ever do that again, my love. i couldn’t bare to watch you hurt yourself for me,” he says, hands trembling as he bandages your shoulder. “i’m fine now thanks to you though. i would have done it again if needed.” kazuha sighs, leaning his head against yours in half-relief and half-worry.

you tagging along during a bit of sleuthing never hurt. heizou enjoyed the company and your presence helped him think. the evening waned on with little hindrances. just a few flirtations from both parties until the time to grow serious came. investigating this particular case never seemed dangerous until things quickly fled in the wrong direction.

heizou’s desperate to get you out of here. the wandering samurai lunges forward, katana brandished and aiming in your direction. he’s quick to get you out of harm’s way even if you have your own weapon in hand. “you have to get out of here!”

“i’m not leaving you here!” heizou grits his teeth at your words but nothing else can be said before his name flies out of your mouth and he finds himself stumbling to the ground, gripping onto the dirt to stabilize himself. the sword rips into your shoulder blade and heizou’s breath leaves him.

he can barely remember what happens after that, the only thing on his mind is getting you out of there. you’re in his arms in a second and he can feel your blood staining his clothing. “shush, it’s fine. they’re gone now. just… just hold on i’m right here.” he can feel the iron sting of blood in his mouth as he bites the inside of his mouth, praying that you’ll be alright.

he’s honestly not used to someone being by his side during missions. especially not you of all people. he feels a little more self-aware of his actions and his tone. still, he needs to get the job done and your assistance is certainly better than him doing it entirely alone.

but he curses under his breath when things go wrong. the plans are burning faster than he can even keep up with and now you’re stuck under this crumbling infrastructure of deluded lies with him. scaramouche isn’t even sure when or how you appeared next to him but when the wet splatter of blood hits his cheek his eyes widen.

your name tumbles from his lips faster than he can even react to your violent shove. as you crumple to the ground, he’s wrapping you up in his arms. you can see the fragility in his eyes as he stares down at you. blood pooling in a crimson puddle around you as your eyes flicker shut.

light seeps in eventually and you find yourself staring at the ceiling of an unknown medical ward. your body aches with a pain slotted within your chest and examining your surroundings you’re surprised to see scaramouche worriedly pacing the room. he stops when he sees you’re awake.

“you idiot! what the hell were you thinking taking the hit like that! do you even understand—“

“are you alright?” he stops, staring at you incredulously but at the same time relief washes over his body in a tidal wave.

“i’m… fine,” he mumbles, going to your side in an instant. he takes your hand in his, quietly accepting your decision.

: ̗̀ RED STRING OF FATE - kaeya alberich

A red string is attached to the pinky finger of two people who are bound by fate, otherwise known as 'soulmates'. Only your assigned soulmate and you are able to see the strings that connect you both.

Bound together from the start, you and kaeya have always had this 'strange' connection the moment you both met— unlike the many people in the streets of mondstadt, you were unable to see the string attached to your finger.

Many said that this was a bad sign- a sign of bad luck that your soulmate and you were destined a horrible fate from the universe. Your parents would often tell you to not believe such words; but who shall you believe?

“Don't believe what other people tell you to! Believe in what you want to!” Kaeya would exclaim in a cheerful voice of a 10 year old as you both run across the land of dawn winery hiding away from his brother.

With laughter echoing in the wind— time has long since passed, moments turned into nothing but precious memories that you hold onto for dear life. You and kaeya have turned older.

“So, you got rejected, hm?” Kaeya's teasing voice strikes through the cold silence, his smile big as his eyes looked at you gently- kaeya has always made sure to treat you with such gentleness and care- as if one wrong move then you'd be shattered to mere pieces.

“You don't have to rub it in me...” You sigh, just wanting the day to be over. The amount of times you had been constantly rejected by people because you weren't their soulmate were numerous. “Keep your head up high, who's to say you don't have a soulmate as well?” Kaeya places a hand on top of your head, patting it to give you a sense of comfort and reassurance.

You sigh once more, frustration starting to get the best of you. “Oh I don't know- the whole universe?” You answer, inhaling deeply.

Chuckling, the man sips his wine, being quiet as to let you cool yourself down and avoid you having an outburst out in the tavern. “Wrong,” He replies before seeing you groan in frustration.

Looking down, he sees the red string attached to his finger. It had a beautiful shade of red, it glowed at times when he needed comfort; and most of all, it lead him to you. Soulmates were such a tricky thing he thinks.

Two people are given sentences on their wrist, one that will be said by their soulmate at one given time the moment they meet.

Born with a phrase on his wrist— a part of it incomplete and owned by his fated one. What once was a mark that diluc showed off proudly was now hidden underneath his gloves as he serves the drunkards in the tavern their alcohol.

Years of being alone and grieving had caused him to shut everyone out- including the person who dons the other half of his mark.

Though there may be times where he unconsciously looks at his hand when in need of comfort he pulls himself together and forces himself to continue his duties— all for mondstadt and his late father.

“Excuse me, are there any non-alcoholic beverages?” He hears a customer ask charles from the other side of the bar. Odd, diluc thinks as he observes you, he doesn't remember seeing you around here.

“Sorry, is there something wrong with what I'm wearing?” You ask, looking at the man who had been staring at you discreetly, taking notes of you and trying to understand where you're from based off of your clothing.

“Oh-! Apologies, forgive me for I was taken away from your beauty,” Diluc makes an excuse, though he must admit you were good looking, it wasn't exactly the reason he was looking at you. “Is that you asking me out?” You lean closer to the man, teasing him until you both end up chatting the whole night.

Forgotten was the mark and phrase hidden on both your wrists, you and diluc chatted the night away to your hearts content, customers looking weirdly at the scene as some let out sighs—

Destiny had finally made its way to diluc ragnvindr.

Born with inability to see colors until your soulmate meets eyes with you, people often spend their time desperately finding their destined person with the want to see the supposedly beauty of colors.

“Is this seat free?” You ask the stranger sitting by the bench. He nods, signaling you to sit down when you want.

Silence envelopes the two of you, the world was gray- as usual, there was this small envious part of you that wishes you were like the others; able to see the beauty of colors.

“So, have you met them?” The stranger besides you suddenly asks, looking at him, he seemed to have light colored hair with a streak of a dark color. Blinking at the question you become flustered- who knew it was embarrassing to tell someone you haven't met your soulmate yet.

“No, not yet- how about you?” You stammer, continuing to look at the stranger beside you. He pauses for a bit- hesitant to face you; and yet he followed his instinct.

He was beautiful you think, his features were so soft yet pretty, it complimented his eyes so perfectly. Too busy staring at the beauty of this stranger you hadn't realize how the world around you had changed so much yet so little.

The stranger- blonde hair and a red streak- smiles at you, eyes softening as he closes them and presents you with a big smile plastered onto his face.

— there were a lot of reasons as to why you could make their hearts beat fast; but theres a certain memory of it that they'll never forget.

you and kaeya often spent your friday nights together, drinking in the tavern as you and him talk about your week— all the frustrations you've felt and all the accomplishments you've achieved.

though perhaps this one particular night you didn't have the best week and had instead resorted to drinking alcohol to your hearts content. at the start kaeya was amused as he took a sip from his drink; but after you kept asking charles for more he knew he had to put his foot down.

“come on, let's go home.” he says, helping you stand up and walk as you felt tipsy from the liquor.

the cold night air of mondstadt makes your skin shiver as kaeya takes note of it, holding you close to the warmth of his body despite the coldness of his palms.

the streets of mondstadt were empty: with its people being either asleep in the safety and comfort of their homes or they’re out drinking the night away.

reaching your doorstep he quickly pulled out the extra keys you had entrusted to him just in case you were to lose or forget yours, opening the door and helping you get into your room he lays you down the bed gently.

covering you with your blanket, he notices how you were sweating and thought of going to the kitchen to grab you a drink of water; though as he walks away his hand is grabbed and he's pulled— forced to sit down on the bed.

your hand still around his, he blinks in shock and faces you: “sorry, didn't want you to go away...” you slurred your words, eyesight going blurry as you fight back the urge to fall asleep.

your grip on kaeyas hand weakens; yet this only causes the boy to strengthen his. your breathing was peaceful as you slept and went off to the land of dreams though kaeya could only hear and imagine the loud beating of his heart.

the loud beating of it was all that kaeya could hear as he hides his face further from yours, flustered and confuse was all he felt as he uses his thumb to draw circles onto your palm.

“i'll never leave you,” a whisper of an oath leaves his lips and fills his mind— an emotion akin to love and joy fulfill his chest as he looks behind and feel a smile making its way to his lips.

oh how could he be able to leave you when you ask him to stay?

many knew of diluc ragnvindr's straight face, they were well aware of how he often seemed to not have a care in the world when he passes by people who would gossip about him.

even after dating him for months: it was rare to be able to savour a genuine smile from the man.

though perhaps that all changed when you invited him to go on a picnic with you, a picnic not too far from the city of mondstadt but not near enough to where people could easily spot you both.

“diluc ragnvindr! i swear with all my life that if you keep moving i will not hesitate to order the maids to lock you out of dawn winery tonight.” you command the man to stay still as he lets out a grunt.

presently, you were tying his hair into a ponytail and brushing it; though it was much easier said than done. the truth was that diluc isn't used to people doing his hair for him, he's fixed it himself since he was a child— so having someone else do it for him for a change was certainly a new experience.

“are you almost done?” he asks, trying to not let you see his flustered expression (he could've sworn he heard his voice break), he felt heat rush to his face and was now more than sure that you'd be able to notice the red tips of his ears.

“there,” you sigh thankfully, you deserved a pat in the back for being able to tie it up after minutes of struggling and banter from the both of you back and forth!

“what do you think?” you ask him, facing him though he looks away when you try and get a glimpse of his face; but shortly after you're able to connect the dots and a teasing smirk makes its way to your lips.

“are you, diluc ragnvindr, flustered?” you ask with teasing lilt to your voice, eyebrows raised as you hold his chin and pull his head to face your direction.

it takes a while for diluc to compose himself, heartbeat fast and evident with the red in his cheeks and ears: “yes... are you happy now?” he asks, pulling your hand away from his chin and using it to pull you close to his chest.

your head ending up just right above his heartbeat, able to hear it oh-so clearly.

archons he swears he won't last a day if you keep rendering him flustered from your advances, though a tiny part of him silently enjoys the way you're able to make the beat of his heart go faster.

xiao

it was rare to see xiao sleeping peacefully, much less out in the open— though perhaps there was a certain sense of nostalgia and comfort that warms his heart: telling him that it was okay to be vulnerable when hes in your arms.

for in your arms contained the safety and comfort he’s always looked for, the ones he’s longed for so many centuries. now there he was, staring at your napping state.

the grass tickling his cheeks and nose though he could care less about it for staring at your figure was a much better way to spend his time and day instead of worrying about other things.

xiao pulls himself up, noticing that something had landed on your peaceful features: he hovers above you, an arm beside your head as the other tries to remove the dirt— yet somehow a hand grabs his, making him fall on your chest.

“what were you doing xiao?” you ask, a smirk and teasing tone present. everything flusters xiao- from the way you grabbed his hand and gently placed it on the back of his head for support, the way you had a teasing smirk etched into your features— everything had driven him to a rather flustered state.

somehow any other sound disappeared, only his fast heartbeat could be heard in his ears. the trees, the sun, the grass- they were all gone: the only things present were you and him at this moment.

at this moment, it was just you and xiao. two souls binded by one love, two hearts beating so fast for the other, and two soulmates meant to be together.

at this moment— was an adeptus oh-so madly in love.

When you don’t answer he sighs and brings up the bandaged arm to his lip- kissing it with love and care. He doesn’t say it; but he shows it: “I love you,” and slowly but surely the words makes its way to your heart.

— xiao was not one to have many hobbies or interests; though he finds himself enjoying watching you explore the wangshu inn as he watches from above, seeing you enjoy yourself and talk with others brings a smile to his face as it reassures him that unlike him, you will always have people there for you. His neverending wishes for the gods to grant you the life he so desperately wishes for never fails to make you fall deeper and more in love with him. Xiao wasn’t selfish, but there’s a tiny voice inside of him wishing that he too will be able to live the life he wants with and besides you.

𖣠 fem!reader, reader is the cousin of the bf’s girlfriend yez, character has an older brother

he was just a regular man with no interest in forming a romantic relationship whatsoever. his elder brother, however, was the exact opposite — in fact he already had a girlfriend at the time. problem is, they didn’t have a car so he had to take them everywhere (basically he’s a third wheel).

one time they decided to visit his brother’s girlfriend’s apartment. supposedly, he was going to leave after bringing his brother there but his brother convinced him to stay and just wait for a moment. he finds his way to the living room and as he sits down, he notices another presence in the room and when he turns to take a look, a very beautiful person was standing at the corner of the room which was you.

you offered him a sandwich into which he politely declines saying that he’s not hungry when in truth, he was actually very shy to take it from the plate you personally prepared.

when he heard that you were in a relationship, he felt very dejected. like “oh so you aren’t single anymore?” type of sadness. pls help him TT

his brother reassures him though, teasing him by saying, “they’re definitely going to break up soon. you better be there for her.” — all this partnered with a light chuckle.

soon after, you and your boyfriend did break up. and after that you and him started texting each other. it wasn’t that serious at first but kinda like a ‘close friend’ type of relationship.

then one time you were at the mall with your friend going shopping when you suddenly got the idea of setting your friend up with him. you told him through a text stating what you had thought of previously and the message he sends back will forever be engraved in your heart.

“why not just us?” — is what it says. because you were too flustered to even process the text, you showed it to your friend and they just sighed like you did something ridiculous. “he’s totally into you.”
