Isayama Hajime Shares New Blog Post About Summer Vacation (And Possibly More?)

Isayama Hajime’s latest blog post describes his recent vacation experience with many others, including a couple of rather “fashionable” photo of himself.

Isayama took his assistants, others who used to help him with drawing, PLUS their kids and families, on a summer trip. There was a total of 22 people, and they even rented a shuttle bus for the occasion.

According to Nagashii Kouhei, who likely used to assist Isayama and was one of those who went on the trip, the group went from Tokyo to Isayama’s hometown of Oita [T/N: Nagashii now has his own series running in another Kodansha magazine, Shuukan Shonen]. He also mentioned that Isayama got the yellow wallet chain in his outfit from Daiso, the equivalent of a dollar store. Isayama wore the yellow chain and feeling fashionable.

Everyone played the card game Daifugo together until very late eacch night - it became a must-do for them.

Isayama ended up ranking last in the card game at least once, and he said that is a “foreshadowing hint” as the last sentence in the blog post: “This is the first time I shared a blog post while crying (Foreshadowing hint).” [T/N: We’re not sure if he is referring to the upcoming manga chapter or not, but that release is admittedly in a few days. It is also possible that he’s referring to Sunday’s anime episode, which involves sad backstories.]
