“I do know that, Juliette. I know we have work to do but I’ve known you for years. Some things may have changed but you’re still the same girl at your core and you seem loathe to admit that. I haven’t changed that drastically iether so what is it that you want me to know? That you want to know about me?” Carter questioned, his mood dropping at her words.

i lost a lot of muse for everything because of some stuff, so i dropped half of my characters in the hopes that this would stop feeling like a chore

in light of some things that happened, i’ll be taking a few days hiatus because honestly my muse is just nill. because i feel shitty, my muses are all hush hush here. i’ll still pop into the main a bit, though the next couple of days will be busy so it wont be much. however, i’ll be on my indies quiinisms and hellaradcaptain, or my personal vodkaforwater. i can also be reached on skype or kik if anyone wants those, just give me a holler :3

im honestly still not feeling great about some stuff, but luckily i have some cool things going on to distract me. im hoping to be on tonight, if not i’ll probably just take a bit of a hiatus.

im heavily debating what im going to do now, i feel like hell and it’s not great. so i may not be on for the rest of the night. if anyone needs me, i may pop onto the main a little, but i’ll be on my personal vodkaforwater if anyone needs anything.

It wasn’t just you, it’s a rule I’ve had to constantly remind people about. I understand that there were just two, but I also knew there was a third one that wasn’t showing up in the tags. Had there only been the two, it would have been fine to only reply to those two. No update post is ever made to single on person out, if it’s an isolated thing, it’s not put on blast like that.

I really don’t want to get off on a bad foot with the starter rule. I’m sorry I made you feel the need to post an update but this is what I saw when I looked at the starter tag feed. Just two after the event I’m sorry.

“But you don’t know me anymore, not as well. Something you seem rather loathe to admit. And I never said anything about not being good enough, I’m not even pushing you away right now. I’m trying to get you to take a step back and know that we have work to do. That we need to get to know each other again. Yes, I love you, warts and all. And that’s why I’m saying this. Because I’m willing to take the time to relearn you. I’m starting to wonder if you’re willing to take the time to relearn me though.”

Carter smiled a bit wider at her reply, fully aware of her passion for performing whether she admitted she missed it or not. Still she wasn’t completely right in her statement about him so he told her, “That’s not true, actually. You act as if I’m naive and don’t know you or see the way you’ve changed. I know you, Juliette. Better than you realize. I know you’re not the same girl as you wree but I love you regardless. It would be wholeheartedly selfish of me to only love your good sides and not the bad. That’s not real love. I accept every part of you just like you do of me. That’s just part of the deal. And for the record this whole ‘I’m not good enough’ bit is getting played out. You’ve always been enough for me. Always will be. So stop pushing me away. Let me in.”

“My whole life was performing...” She reminds him. “It was different than this of course, but there was still an audience, a story being told. There was applause, sometimes a literal spotlight. And I did love it..” Pulling a knee up, she rests her cheek on it as she looks over at him. “I hardly know who I am anymore, but I know I’m different. Yet that look never changes, never takes into account that I’m nowhere near the girl you fell in love with.”

Carter joined her at the edge of the stage and looked out at the empty seats in front of them, his mind drifting a bit. Everyone imagined being the center of attention on stage at least once in their life. “What? Our performance wasn’t enough? But seriously I think you would be happy doing something like that. Anyway, that look isn’t as daunting a thing as you’re making it out to be. You being you was always enough for that,” Carter responded with a soft smile.

“I know, but that look is an awful lot to live up to.” Kissing his cheek lightly, she pulls out of his grasp and sits herself down at the edge of the stage. “I wonder what it would be like to perform on a stage like this.” She muses in an attempt to change the subject.

Carter’s expression changed at her last sentence. He was confused because he wasn’t quite sure how she could tell him to stay with her and then that he’d only be disappointed if he did. Then again Juliette always thought the worst of herself. He closed the distance between them and grabbed her hand, twirling her around once before stopping her and responding seriously, “I don’t know what you’re talking about. I’ve always looked at you the same way.”

“How terribly sad.” She says, throwing a playful pout his way as she moves across the stage. “It’s just dancing, it’s easy compared to figure skating.” Shrugging off his comment, she pulls a small and graceful leap. “Keep looking at me like that, and you’ll only be disappointed.” She states again, trying to keep her words light despite how serious she is.

“Well then nothing will have changed in my life,” Carter retorted as he watched her spin. She was so beautiful it was impossible not to admire her. “You know…you should dance like that more. You’ve got so much natural grace. It’s enchanting to watch,” he added, his eyes alight with affection for her. It was the only way he really knew how to look at her.
