🔱headcanon.

                                              「 𝙻 𝙾 𝚅 𝙴 」

blue had a complicated relationship with emotions, in the beginning. she was very unfamiliar with what they were, and what they meant. she originally started out as something akin to a blank slate, with only the faintest semblance of a personality within her. she is the guardian spirit of water, carrying the primordial emotion of 「 𝙻 𝙾 𝚅 𝙴 」in her.

love was a word she was unfamiliar with. she didn’t understand what it meant, yet her heart loved everyone. her original paladin, blaytz was the one to teach her what it truly meant, and what emotions were. had she not been taught by her paladin, she couldn’t know what it meant to be「 H A P P Y 」or 「 S A D 」 , nor what 「 F E A R 」or 「 L O N E L I N E S S 」entailed. she contains eons of wisdom and information, but now also self awareness and a sense of self. that being said, her understanding of  ❛ normal ❜ emotions and experiences are limited due to her place in the world - a mechanical lion built for battle. she’s still learning how to behave outside of battle, so her strange actions, such as knocking things over for no reason are just her means of exploring. and getting attention, in some cases. 

but of all her new feelings, love is and always will be the strongest. she is the most accepting and loving lion, she’ll accept every paladin with open arms. she’s still a bit unsure about the different types of love, eg. familial love and love for a friend, but her heart is willing to accept anyone.

Who was she?

That gave Blue a pause. She was just herself, right? She had never felt the need to apply any sort of label to herself. She and her sisters were something beyond understanding- the Lions didn’t need an explanation. 

                                      ❝ Well, I’m me! ❞

It was the truth, after all. She was the Blue Lion. The girl in front of her, it seemed, was also the Blue Lion. Simple, right? For her it was, but probably not for the woman in front of her. With lithe limbs, Blue all but danced forward, coming perhaps too close to the other. Gloved hands went up in the air in a signal of peace- she carried no weapons, nor did she need any. If this woman was who she proclaimed she was, she’d be willing to listen to her other half. 

❝ If you’re the Blue Lion and I’m the Blue Lion, who’s flying the Castle? ❞ A weak joke. She doubted that it would lighten the air between them, but hey, she picked up a lot of skills from her paladins. Their paladins.  ❝ Sorry, sorry, maybe that was a lame one. ❞ she sighed, drawing out the ‘a’ in an exaggerated tone.  ❝ Y’know, you can drop that weapon. I’m not here to hurt you, I just wanna see what it’s like over here! ❞

“So you’re trying to tell me that you’re the BLUE LION? Yeah, not buying it. Last I checked, there was one Blue Lion, and it’s me. So who the hell are you?”

She might’ve been acting like she didn’t believe the other girl, but something inside of her was telling her that maybe, just maybe, she was telling the truth. A normal person couldn’t just randomly appear inside of the castle to interrupt Kai’s training session, but her being the Blue Lion might’ve given an explanation. Of course, there was still the problem of her having never heard of another form before. She was sure the spirit of the lion would’ve told her to avoid problems, but there were things that had been kept from her before. Being the host of the spirit of the Blue Lion didn’t give her an in on EVERYTHING.

( ✂ ) one muse puts a band-aid on the other’s cut.

❝ Hey…Yuki? What….is this…? ❞ 

Slender digits, usually wrapped in long gloves, were now slick with crimson fluid. Blue squeezed the other girl’s arm tightly, an attempt to stop the wound from spewing more liquid. A mission gone awry was all that she could assume, Blue never exactly knew what her friend got up to when she wasn’t with the Paladins. It didn’t matter. What mattered was that her dear Yuki showed up suddenly in the hanger, a piece of shrapnel embedded in her forearm. The lion had made quick work of it, dislodging it carefully.

This was…blood? That was the name of it, right?

She procured a roll of bandages from the medical kit hanging on the doorway, and began to wrap it securely ‘round the wound, taking care not to let her razor-like nails come too near.

❝ You won’t leave me, right? ❞ She wouldn’t be able to handle it, if another person she loved left her.

❝ You won’t die, right? ❞
