Epic the Musical has reinspired my love for Greek mythology. It has especially inspired me to draw Medusa, particularly the version who was born a monster, the youngest of 3 Gorgon sisters. I kind of want to let her loose in the Poseidonvers, help keep the population in check by reintroducing a predator, kind of like when Yellowstone National Park brought back wolves.

Medusa is a creature of both beauty & terror, but above all else she is a predator. The Gorgons much like any other sisters will compete, by showing off the victims they’ve turned to stone. Since Medusa is the youngest she hasn’t collected as much prey as Stheno & Euryale yet. However Poseidon has been seen near the waters of their home, an Olympian god would be a prize hunting trophy to add to her gallery of victims. While Medusa isn’t as strong as Stheno, or possesses the frightening cries as Euryale, she is clever. Fear & force will not work on a god like Poseidon but “there are other ways of persuasion~😘.” She knows her best chance to catch Poseidon is to entice him to willingly follow her into her lair.

Yeah it's gonna take a lot more than that to turn this one into stone.
