I really love how shonen manga often begins with the protagonist (accidentally) obtaining some kind of new ability and thus gaining entry to a new community that they were unable to access/unaware of (e.g. MHA, JJK), but in Yomi no Tsugai it's the reverse? Like everyone is chasing after Yuru and trying to force him into activating his dormant power, and Yuru is like "fuck y'all" and beats them up without said power. It's beautiful

The Dreepy line are the best Pokémon in Sword and Sheild. I made this comic the second I saw the leaks for the Dreepy line’s dex entries, and I just about died with how much personality they have. Dreepy likes going fast, Drakloak has social anxiety without Dreepy, and Dragapult will yeet it’s children in the face of danger. I love them so much!

it makes sense that Border never mentioned away missions to the public because what do you mean you've been going to the neighborhood and you're not rescuing people's relatives

obviously it could be spun like 'gaining intel for proper rescues' and probably what they've been doing anyway but the public won't take it like that and for good reason too

there would be a lot of impatience and tempers running (justifiably!) and a Border mired in that kind of uncertainty and lack of goodwill will NOT have the funding it has neither will it have as many members

Man, rereading wt is such a treat. I used to not like Ninomiya but now I think he's so funny... chapters 235/236 singlehandedly converted me on his character and the classic Anecdotal WoTri Lore comes in clutch as always. He's petty as hell, picked suits for his squad uniform because he thought the other uniforms looked like cosplay (and ended up looking the most out of place out of everyone), and is genuinely beefing with several middle schoolers. What's wrong with him (affectionate)
