hello all! I was so thrilled to come home to an application in our inbox, so to celebrate, we’ve got a few announcements for you:

acceptances will be held this Saturday, March 10th at 10pm GMT/5pm EST! we’d love to see a few more characters filled, so now is the perfect time to get an application in for whatever character you’ve been eyeing up--

our next plot drop will be posted the day after, on Sunday at around 10pm GMT to mix things up, so now is a great time for you to start wrapping up old threads, and a great time for new characters to jump in--

we will be conducting our first activity check on Sunday as well -- the activity limit is seven days. activity has been fairly consistent lately but if you haven’t had a chance to get to the dash this week, be sure to do so before Sunday, or to contact us if you need a hiatus. remember, for those with two characters, we will count each character’s activity separately, so you will need to be active on both--

I have been slowly working on an app since before you guys even had your first acceptances, and I think I am almost ready to officially submit it! Is Narcissa still wanted here?

it’s great to hear you’re still interested! narcissa would most definitely still be a welcome addition for the last open character slot we’ve got, especially as we gear up to move forward with the plot. let us know if you have any questions as you’re finishing things up, we’re here to help; hope to see an app from you soon!

hi folks! we’ve gotten a bunch of new followers lately so I just wanted to drop in and remind everyone of a few things:

we will be setting an acceptance date as soon as we receive one or more applications, and will set it for only a few days after that happens, so if you’re planning to apply you will only have to wait a few days after sending your application in to hear back from us! 

while we’d love to see an application for any of our open characters, we would particularly love to see apps for Lily Evans and Mary MacDonald, both of whom are central to our plot! our current characters would love to be able to plot with the Minister for Magic and the rebellion leader!

and of course, our other open characters -- James Potter, Minerva McGonagall, and Kingsley Shacklebolt -- are equally wanted and welcome! 

we also still have one open character spot left, so if you like the group but don’t see a character who strikes your fancy, or you have another canon character you want to play, we’d love to see your ideas~

we will be sitting down to discuss our next plot drop fairly soon, so be on the look out for further announcements and updates! we’d love to see another character or two picked up before we really get into the thick of the drama we have planned

hello! this might be left field, but could erika linder work for a nonbinary lily?

I think so, yes! Erika is on the young end of the range of ages we’d accept, but I would love to see a nonbinary Lily, so I’d give it a yes--

tips for Minerva?

hey anon! so excited to hear you’re considering applying for Minerva -- I know we’d all love to have her around. here are a few things to think about in your app:

Minerva has known most of the other characters since they were eleven, has watched them closely as they grew and became warriors, and then as they grieved and became much more. what does she think of them all, now? does she feel responsible? 

how has she been affected by Dumbledore’s death and by taking over his position at Hogwarts? what did he -- or didn’t he -- tell her before he died? (about James? about the Deathly Hallows? about Horcruxes?) other than taking over as headmaster and keeping her eye on things, was there anything else he tasked her with doing? 

I’d love to hear about Minerva’s private life -- who is she when she isn’t a Professor, a Headmaster? who is she when she’s home alone? are there other people in her life, or is she solitary? what did she expect her life to look like, when she was seventeen and finishing Hogwarts?

as with any character, also make sure she feels like a real person, and has a sense of direction: what are her goals, what plots can you see her getting involved with, where would you like to see her go and grow?

Sophie Skelton, Elena Satine for Lily?

while Sophie Skelton has a really good look for Lily, she’s about ten years too young, so unfortunately I can’t see her. as for Elena Satine, she wouldn’t be my first choice for the way I’ve been seeing Lily but with the right app/interpretation I think she could definitely work!

   Shannon, you have been accepted as Remus Lupin. first of all: how dare you. I didn’t think anyone could ever make me more sad about Remus Lupin than I already was, and yet, here we are. second of all: everything about your app was absolutely wonderful and heartbreaking, and I particularly loved the idea that Remus is in charge of the new Werewolf Support Services. I can’t wait to see how his relationships and connections shape up, and to see how else you plan on breaking all of our hearts!
