How I Write Spells

This is my personal method for writing spells; this is not set in stone or the only way to do so. Take this advice with a grain of salt and do what works best for you.

What is a Spell?

A spell is a form of manifesting magick through focusing on your intention and performing an act or series of acts to represent that.

Why Would I Write My Own?

This comes down to personal preference and convenience. You will often find that you need a more specific spell tailored to your needs, and that writing your own holds more power and meaning.

Steps

1. Figure out the goal/purpose/intent.

Brainstorm- What do you want to happen? What fields of your life do you want to affect?

Condense- Cross out the repetitive/redundant points.

Revise- Ensure that the statement is clear and easy to read.

2. Determine what material components are needed (if any).

This can be any mixture of herbs, candles, stones, other objects; anything that assists in the symbolism of your working.

3. Decide if timing is important.

You may choose to do the spell during a specific moon phase, time of day, day of the week, etc.

4. Figure out the wording.

You could call on a spirit or deity, or just speak your intent aloud. Will an incantation be necessary? If so, write it out.

I was talking to some close people about the Seven African Powers. I got a strange feeling when they were talking about it. It was a little scary and I’ve never felt that way before. Baneful magick

Baneful magic is a touchy subject, lots of people believe its evil and shouldn't be done. I do perform baneful magic. All people are different and so are their morals. I dont push my morals on others and I wish others didn't either, but they do.

I will never tell a witch to do baneful magic, but if you are a beginner practitioner be cautious when doing it. I did baneful magic since the beginning of my practice, and it can have consequences. Remember to use proper protection if you do any baneful magic.

4 types of baneful magic

●Warning this is my own definition for it others my have slightly different definitions●

Curse: An act of baneful magic that causes long-term or permanent/to generational harm

Hex: An act of baneful magic that causes short-term or temporary harm

Jinx: An act of baneful magic that doesn't cause harm but will cause severe to minor annoyance/inconvenience

Banishing: The act of magically expelling energies, entities, or people.

Binding: The act of magically restraining something or someone.

These are types of baneful magic.

After practicing and researching for awhile, I’ve been strongly considering hexing my rapist. I should probably point out that I do not believe in the threefold law, however I have no problem with those that do. Still, I use protection and wards always, because you never know.

Little backstory: He really did a number on me and my family. It was taken to court, but that didn’t work out. In a world where the justice system is absolute poo, we have to make our own justice. If that’s what you’re looking to do, then this page is for you! We can learn together!

You may now be wondering what my plans are. To that I say, “I really don’t know”. I’m still researching, but I have a few ideas. The most fitting right now seems to be a sour jar. These are used to essentially sour up someone’s life, which is what I was going for.

Sour Jar Spell

Ingredients

A jar, obviously

Vinegar as a base because it stanks and is sour.

Rusted nails, razors, pins, etc. These symbolize pain and falling apart.

Spicy spices! I like to use chili powder and black pepper, personally. These irritate and burn.

Dead insects. Please remember not to go out of your way to kill anything, like ever. If you should find an already dead bug though, go for it! Bugs bring paranoia and negativity.

Lemon slices to sour his life.

An image, name, or dna from your target.

Urine to symbolize pissing all over his life. (Be safe with pee. It should be your own pee.)

A black candle.

Gloves for safety reasons:)

-Not all of these ingredients need to be used-

So here’s what you do.

Use protection! Whip out your snazziest crystals, cast a circle, sage yourself, whatever you need to do. Don’t skip this part. Also, put on your gloves ESPECIALLY if you intend to use urine and/or bugs.

Add vinegar to the jar.

Add the other ingredients, and think about your intentions with each item.

Cover the jar and shake it. I like to seal my jars with the candle wax, but you could just light the candle and let it burn out on the jar.

Store it somewhere dark so that the only light it ever sees is when its with you. Visit it for 7 days, shaking it each time.

Dispose of the jar. I plan to throw mine into a body of water.

SIGILS

A sigil is a type of symbol used in magick. The term has usually referred to a type of pictorial signature of a deity or spirit. In modern usage, especially in the context of chaos magic, sigil refers to a symbolic representation of the practitioner's desired outcome.

basically a form of art in a way in which inscribed or painted symbols are considered to have magical powers

I personally don't fully burn them to activate them ; I just burn the edges but sometimes I burn the whole thing so yeah lol.

What is the state of knowing? Can u make a checklist of the state of knowing

The state of knowing is the absolute most powerful state for manifesting.

In fact, if you’re in the state of knowing, you really don’t need to do anything else and your manifestations will come asap. It’s the state of absolute belief and faith that your manifestation will arrive no matter what.

In the state of knowing, we have no doubts or fears regarding our manifestation. Failure does not even exist and our mindset is of absolute faith and trust that no matter what the 3D shows us, our desires will come to fruition.

When you place an order on Amazon, do you doubt whether it will be delivered or not? No!! You’re super sure of the outcome and you know that you’ll receive your package no matter what. Reaching this level of faith should be the goal of every conscious manifestor.

Let’s take this same example when it comes to manifesting with deadlines. You have an option to choose the date of delivery on Amazon and it says that it will arrive tomorrow. Do you doubt it?? No!! That’s exactly how you should feel with regards to manifesting your desires.

How to get into the state of knowing?

Work on your self concept !! That’s literally the most important part of manifesting. 

Self concept is how you view yourself and the world around you. For example, if you assume you’re a broke student who only has pennies in your pocket, that’s exactly who you’ll be till you decide to view yourself differently.

Here are a few self concept affirmations to get you started. 

I am a master manifestor.

I manifest effortlessly, instantly and perfectly each and everytime.

I am the God of my reality.

I am the one on the pedestal and the 3D desperately conforms to my desires.

Everything always goes my way.

The 3D only reflects my desires.

Negative assumptions , emotions and affirmations never manifest. They are powerless against me.

I don’t have any intrusive thoughts or limiting beliefs.

I am limitless.

Everything I desire is already mine.

You can also assume, visualise or command your subconscious to have a perfect self concept.

Believe that you’re God and remove all doubts from your mind about your manifestation. Did God question himself when he was creating this universe? No !! He literally just went, “Let there be light.”

Your imagination is God. Your subconscious is God. You are God.

It is absolutely impossible for you to fail. The 3D has only one choice, one option and one path and that is to get all that you want when you want it. Believe so for it is your divine birthright !

When you truly know the truth and persist without a shadow of doubt, it is inevitable for you to receive your desires quickly or even instantly.

"Have faith in God. Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, "Be taken up and thrown into the sea; and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours." Mark 11:22-24

What I Burn When I Need Help

Burning herbs can be more than just cleansing. It can help banish, invoke, encourage, invite, and much more. A lot of times, when I feel like I'm struggling with a specific issue (with myself or with what is around me), I find myself drawn to burning single herbs to help me get back into the headspace I need to be.

Cinnamon: When I feel like I'm falling behind in my shadow work, I burn a bit of a stick of cinnamon to help encourage healing and mindfulness.

Dried Apple Peel: Apples are symbols of friendship and love. When I feel particularly down on myself or lonely, burning apple peels can help invoke an increased sense of patience towards myself.

Pine Needles: Burning pine needles welcomes new beginnings and fresh starts. Super helpful for things like breakups, graduation, and repelling negativity.

Rice: A bit tricky to burn! I tend to hold two or three in tweezers ad just roast the ends for a moment or two and waft that little bit of smoke around my space. Burnt rice invites financial gain, and protects you from negative energies.

Rose Petals: Rose petals invoke soft, genuine feelings of love and appreciation.

Rose Thorns: On the other hand, burning rose thorns protects you from people who have terms for their love, and protects you from people who lie about their affections for you.

Rosemary: This herb encourages good health, and is helpful in strengthening memory when burnt. It's also effective as a shower/bath additive!

Tangerine Peel: I use tangerine peels because that's what I have, but orange peels work the same! Burning these citrus peels invites more energy into your space, and can be great for sleepy mornings and early morning college classes.

As always, practice in a cleansed environment and do your research! There are many, many things that can be burnt for great effects. Blessed Be! <3
