I'm still not over a post i happened across where someone called the ship between WX and Winona "boring and chemistryless". I dont even ship them romantically, but it was really annoying to see their relationship dismissed like that. As if Winona isnt the ONLY PERSON that WX has a cute nickname for, when they just insult everyone else. As if WX doesn't adore the machines that Winona makes. As if Winona doesn't complain about how WX won't let her "poke around [their] insides". Also, Winona often talks to robots like they're people, same as how WX does, even though they are not sentient robots like WX. They must really get along.

Also, besides the nice friendship they have, there's a lot of good potential for tension in their relationship. Some of WX's quotes imply that they are very protective over their body, and don't let anyone else try to tinker with or fix them. How do you think they felt when Winona not only fixed them up while they were unconscious, but also repaired the heart that they hoped to keep broken? Did they feel angry with her, betrayed, violated? What would Winona have to do to regain their trust?

Additionally, WX refuses to talk about their past aside from their hatred for Dr. Wagstaff. It's likely that no one knows they used to be human, and WX wouldn't have it any other way. If anyone could crack their backstory though, it would be Winona. She had been doing her research before ending up in the Constant, we know from her short that she was already aware of WX's existence (or at least a robot very similar to them). And with her proximity to Wagstaff, she might have picked up on some clues as to what happened to Wagstaff's old coworker. Once she pieces everything together, what happens when she tries to confront WX about it to confirm her theory? I don't think they'd be happy at alllll to be found out like that.
