I dont understand why people be thinking eh this is under your care so you should do it. It's like we are already occupied to the brink and you keep adding in stuff. I know it's transformation so we need to do lots of validation and training, but can you also understand us and not push too much on those other non important projects? Like you want me to explode one day is it?

My face is going to get darker and darker everyday. You don't treat someone who looks calm on the outside as if nothing happens, our minds are already sick and tired, not like we can't say anything but because we know that even though we argue on the unfairness surely someone will say just endure for this period, it will be ok...

I have my priorities, don't you dare try to push my limits.

Rant

It was a habit of me to rant on my blog during my secondary school times, and now then I realised that I had 2 blogs, one public and one private HAHA 🤣

And both went dead coz everyone moved to Facebook, then Tumblr, Twitter (X) and Instagram... Like every new move relates to my new beginning in life... But now here I am back again to rant on my work...

I actually tendered in mid Feb this year for a 10% increase job change that was nearer to my house (which means reduced expenses in both transport and meals), but after meetings I got compromised 😔 maybe it's me maybe it's not, but I felt that coz I let out too much info, ppl thought the move was not worth it. So they agreed for a 30% increase, which they did. I knew the moment I compromised, my mind was not there anymore.

But now another thing happened, my manager tendered today, coz she needed a higher pay for her HDB loan. And the VP said her move was a good one. And I was like ??? You mean ppl can't move just because they are getting tired of the current job and wants to try smth new? Why must I stay in order to learn new things? I am not ambitious and do not want to climb up high the career level. The reason I want to leave is to try new things and build up my ACCA portfolio, get what I deserve for the 8 hours, without compromising my work life balance. You don't need to go home and spend time with your parents because someone else can do that for you, but I need because I have only me myself and I.

Everytime I think till here, I would think it could be my problem for not leaving. It's true that I can learn about transformation since I stayed put, and it will definitely built up my resume for my future. I would be doing the same tasks and adding on new tasks because of my promotion. But if I stayed firm on my decision and left, I would be learning something new in a new environment. And what they say was that this risk you are taking should be compensated more than 10%.

So now the plan is no WFH, and to learn and go through transformation, help out an existing project, and all the shit the manager did (sharing with another colleague before the replacement comes in). Actually our headcount was 4, but 1 left during COVID and there was no replacement. We are already 80% occupied, and now? This is definitely not fair and I guess we need to show our attitude a little more so that ppl can see our ship is starting to sink.

I take work seriously at the workplace, don't expect me to waste my time on other rubbish.
