Honestly, Chris felt like he was making a wrong decision. Like it was somehow rude to go back to a place where they had lost two friends. He guessed meeting the entire group again would be pretty awkward too, after barely seeing them for an entire year.

Honestly, he was surprised Josh wanted to see them at all.

But he had never been able to say no to any of his friend’s ideas and fuck, the year might have been hard on all of them, but it had been the hardest for Josh. Chris could not remeber the last time his best friend had made a suggestion, even less one he genuinely seemed excited about.

So he swallowed the uncertain feeling and instead gave Josh a grin. “Yeah man, sounds great.” There was an unasked question on Chris’ tongue, about whether Josh was sure, whether he really felt this was a good idea, but he was afraid of pouring salt into old wounds. What came out instead was: “You need any help with the preparations or anything?”
