Valentine's day episode.
"Hi my home."
"I'm here."
"Hey."
"What's this?"
"It was given at the supermarket."
"Huh..."
"What are you going to make for dinner today?"
"Lasagna."
"Sweet and sour."
"The taste of the first kiss?"
"It's your flavor."

If We Had Forever - Prologue
If We Had Forever (spideypool fic on ao3) PREVIEW
It had been a horrible night. The rain came down so hard on the pavement that it splashed back up. Peter was around seven at the time, and really should’ve been asleep. He was awake though, reading comic books under his bedsheets with an old flashlight Uncle Ben had given him for his birthday. The lightning and the thunder didn’t scare Peter. But, a shrill scream did. He quickly turned off his flashlight in his panic and curled up under his sheet. The floorboards creaked and his door opened slightly. Peter held his breath. The door closed again and he breathed. He wasn’t exactly sure why, but he stayed like that for a long time: not moving, curled up next to his discarded comic. Then there were red and blue lights circling around his room and he crawled out from under the sheet to look at the window. His bedroom door opened behind him and a police officer took his hand and led him outside. ~ That night was also the night that Wade, nine years old, found himself at the scene of a crime. He had been playing outside, farther away from home than he should’ve been, not that anyone really cared. It had started raining, and he ran back home, socks soaked through from stepping in one too many puddles. He ran around the back of the house to enter through the kitchen, tracking mud in with him. The house was already quiet, so Wade crept slowly passed the man sleeping on the couch. He didn’t know the man, but he wasn’t surprised at his presence. Wade went up the stairs to what was his room. Down the hall, he could hear the moans and screams of what he assumed was his mother and whoever she was with. He had sat down on the mattress on the floor  when he heard footsteps coming up the stairs. He crawled into the closet, closing the doors behind him. And then he heard yelling, screaming, a gun shot, more gun shots, and running. Wade opened the closet door and walked slowly out of his room. He was afraid, but he couldn’t just sit still. He walked down the hall and saw the blood before anything else. And then he saw his mother, or what was left of her. And he tried to wake her up, but she was cold. And it didn’t feel like a long time at all until he was being strapped to a gurney and wheeled into an ambulance. ~ That night had changed everything. Suddenly, Peter was an orphan living with his aunt and uncle. His new room was strange, it smelled different. But, at least it was still warm. Aunt May was always caring and loving. Uncle Ben was more than Peter could’ve ever asked for. And he never forgot his parents of course, but he didn’t really miss that much either. Growing up in Queens hadn’t been all bad. For Wade, things went a little differently. He was shuffled from one foster home to another, his things constantly stuffed into garbage bags to move. Eventually, he ended up in Queens, right next to a boy named Peter who was around his age. That was the best time in his life, for a long time.
