sorry this is pretty fucking late! i had to rewrite the beginning. this is day two of the @choicesfebruarychallenge​! (hosted by the lovely @bi-cookie​ and @cxld-play) this one is a reader’s pov, like the way most books on choices are written if i’m correct? not sure if that’s popular with fics around here so let me know! i tried to avoid using y/n bc it’s so memed right now and i do not want to get clowned!! so hopefully this is alright lmao. please let me know if you spot any errors!

pairing: raleigh carrera x f!reader

“i think the wine stained your lips,” raleigh peers down at you, brushing a few stray hairs out of your eyes.

your eyes passed over his, then to the dark red liquid in your glass–which was far too fancy for the occasion. he was leaning back to get a good view of his surroundings, palms supporting his weight. your head rested in his lap, with your legs propped up on some metal machinery you wouldn’t know the purpose of.

the two of you had fled another charity event–raleigh’s goal was to break into at least ten rooftops with you. this was the first successful one; an older apartment complex on the outskirts of the city. he’d stolen wine straight from the host’s cellar–and you stole the cups from the catering trays. stealing, even something as insignificant as wine glasses from a rich asshole, was new to you–but the way raleigh stumbled onto the rooftop laughing at your excitement and embarrassment made it something you wanted to make a regular habit of.

“is it my color?” you ask jokingly, glancing back up to him.

“nah, too pink.” he says quickly. “darker reds suit you more.” a flicker of a smile paints his lips, but disappears as soon as it arrived.

you shake your head, looking away and shutting your eyes. it was peaceful at this time of night–only the occasional noises traffic and airplanes breaking through the silence. you could hear raleigh sigh; gears turning in his head as if he wanted to say something.

but he didn’t.

so as minutes continued ticking by, you took it upon yourself to.

Moonlight trickled in through the window — casting a white light on the dark sheets of the California king bed.

Raleigh laid with half of his naked, tattooed torso exposed — the bottom half of him wrapped in the soft duvet. His fingers were tapping on his chest lightly, as he stared up at the ceiling. He was trying to finish the melody that was stuck in his head. It had followed him into the bed that night — a habit he was trying to get out of. But now it was three in the morning and he was still wide awake.

Looking over to his side, his dark eyes followed the curve of Lennon’s body laying next to him. She had turned on her side — exposing her bare back to him. He watched her shoulder rise and fall as she breathed — and a soft smile spread across his face.

She was staying over more and more now. Not that he was complaining — Raleigh would have her laying in that bed, waiting for him every damn day if he could. He felt better when she was there — he liked knowing she was there.

He was in very deep with Lennon Paige.

I know everybody loves how Raleigh is like soooo hot and sooooo steamy, and don’t get me wrong this boy definitely makes me blush like hoo damn.

But this scene was so unexpected and it honestly made me fall head over heels for this pixel boy.

Like I’m not always super comfortable with guys touching me or like all the instant sexual stuff that happens in Choices, so when Raleigh danced with me like we were at a middle school dance I was completely won over. This man is in my top 5. The fact that he doesn’t pull away or feel slighted that I don’t want to do that kind of dancing makes me so damn happy. I reallllllly wish they would bring Platinum back so I can fall for this boy again ❤️😍☺️
