Official Themes Announcement!

Hello, Shikatema fans! This year’s themes will be as follows:

March 11: breath

March 12: silence

March 13: entice

March 14: storm

March 15: courage

March 16: horizon

March 17: legacy

We accept all forms of art work, whatever and however you’d like to contribute to shikatema week will be welcome and incredible! This includes fics/drabbles, drawings, paintings, anything you can think of!

because the themes have been decided, we can also announce the tags for each individual day.

for day one, please tag your posts like this: #shikatema week #day one: breath for day two, please tag your posts like this: #shikatema week #day two: silence

and so forth in that manner! It’s important to get the individual theme tag so we don’t miss the post. We’ll be reblogging everything, no matter how late they’re submitted. However, it is encouraged that you finish whatever piece you’re working on for the day of the theme!

We acknowledge that there has been confusion on the lack of shikatema week, and for that we sincerely apologize. However, we are very excited to announce that preparations to host shikatemaweek 2016 have officially begun!

First, we welcome @drowninglinguists as a new and permanent addition to the mod team!

Second, the official dates for this year’s shikatema week is March 11th-March 18th. On that Sunday, feel free to post all your content for that day’s theme! As the week progresses, we will be reblogging all content we see on this blog so nothing is missed! Please make sure you post your content on that day it’s for (for example, stuff for theme 2 on Monday (the second day) and not Sunday!) And of course, if you can’t manage that day, late entries are always welcome!

We also stress that you do not have to participate every day!!

In addition, submissions for themes are officially open! We’ll be taking theme suggestions for the next eight days, until February 20th, and then you guys will have a week after that, February 21st-February 28th, to vote on the three remaining themes we have not chosen already. 

We actively encourage fandom participation in Shikatema Week, so please send asks about any questions you may have! Even just asks about being excited!
