Tinderbox wolfchase mall

But Americans have been 9/11ed and Hollywooded into thinking a terrorist attack has to be some elaborate super planned out event with planes, suitcase nukes and whatnot. Traffic out there is frequently a nightmare.Īgree with you that the terrorism thing is beyond this thread and I apologize for my thread hijacking. To the extent that it is a victim of its own success. Furthermore, Germantown Parkway, in between Walnut Grove and 64 has more shopping than anywhere in the metro area. Wolfchase is doing as well as can be expected from a middle class oriented mega mall, a market that is struggling nationwide. Many of these folks like outlying areas, and spend little time in Memphis. But there is also a large demographic of folks who seek out that narrative because it confirms their ideas of how Memphis is. I agree that the 'if it bleeds it leads" "things aren't what they used to be" local news is a travesty. This is probably beyond the scope of this thread, but acts of international terrorism require far more planning than getting together a bunch of rowdy teens at the mall. If a bunch of knucklehead teenagers can organize chaos throughout the country via social media, why couldn't the latest bogeyman terrorist group do the same thing? Just goes to show how useless our "intelligence" agencies are. Some people need to respect and appreciate what we have before its all gone. We need to be glad that out city has a great mall that is doing well, especially in this day in age of the dying indoor mall and competition from Amazon and other online retailers. I don't shop at the Wolfchase mall much but these false accusations have to stop. They are not gonna let that happen and I cant see that happening myself. Long time residents will fight to the death to insure the Wolfchase does not become Hickory Hill part 2. Sure people of all races live in the area, but the white demographic remains the majority. White flight is not happening at Wolfchase either.

I cant remember the last time there was a full scale restaurant in that area that's not fast food. It would be as vacant and abandoned as the Trolley Crossing center. If the Wolfchase area was so called ghetto, then there wouldn't be multiple restaurants and other big box stores in the area. Compare the Trolley Crossing shopping center on Perkins/American Way to The Giasco Place across the street. The area around the Mall of Memphis went down with the mall. The same argument goes for the Wolfchase area in general. Even with all the Sears stores closing in the US, the one at Wolfchase would be one of the last to go. From a business/corporate level, not because of a local under performing store. The only way I see Wolfchase loosing an anchor would be Sears if they completely went out of business. I didn't see a "Extreme Wear" or "Regina's Nails" located in spaces that used to be GameStop or Charming Charlie's. Business is just fine at Wolfchase and isn't feeling the decline of American indoor malls. Wolfchase is still going strong and has yet to lose any anchor or national chain that hasn't went out of business. That's only three years younger than the entire lifespan of the Mall of Memphis. Later this year, Wolfchase turns 20 years old. There is a reason why Wolfchase is the main mall of the city. I dont see the need for all the worrying and false accusations. Hell, the entire Wolfchase area is nothing like the Perkins/American Way area is now. It also does not scream multiple store closures, white flight, and mom and pop discount stores. Sure we had a few incidents there, but it does not equal to the crimes we seen at MOM. Wolfchase has a VERY LONG way of even becoming anything close. Let me start by saying that Wolfchase is no where close of being anything ghetto nor anything like the old Mall of Memphis. After the "Mall brawl" after Christmas, I keep hearing local gossip about how the Wolfchase Mall is now ghetto and turning into the Mall of Memphis.

#MINIMSERVER DLNA SOFTWARE#
So I thought it would be fun to use a QNAP NAS for this walkthrough. oh wait, there is! blissful MinimServerīliss and MinimServer both run on NAS devices (and other platforms besides).
#MINIMSERVER DLNA SOFTWARE#
If only there was a software application that could fix incorrect, inconsistency and incomplete musical metadata. Browsing by, say, Dean Martin's tracks, and then genre, will show a fragmented genre list.We can't browse all tracks that are in their rightful genre. We have an album of Rat Pack tracks which have an "Unknown" genre.
#MINIMSERVER DLNA FULL#
This means the albums for a particular artist are broken up.Ī more subtle one is where data is missing, and so the full power of intelligent browsing is not realised. Instead, here I am using dBpoweramp's Asset Control controller to view the library presented by MinimServer.Īnother in-your-face one is where different aliases or subtle changes of spelling of artist names are used: In addition there's a synonym genre which uses an ampersand to differentiate:īy the way, MinimServer is a UPnP media server and offers no browsing itself. As there are multiple genres defined for the same basic genre, this makes selection and browsing more difficult. Here's a simple example: case sensitivity, in this case for genres. MinimServer takes the view that existing metadata is presented in its raw form, so such inconsistencies could present a problem. This may be due to simply incorrect data or inconsistencies in how data is stored. There's only one issue with this theoretically flexible approach: it can lead to complexity when the range of metadata values is wide. Like bliss, MinimServer is written as a server side app and, also like bliss, is available for NAS devices like Synology and QNAP (as well as other platforms). The secondary advantage of this approach is that it is suited to large collections because of the opportunity in larger collections to have more diverse metadata basically, the larger the collection, the more possible values your tags may have and so the more difficult to find music in a strict hierarchy. You could almost say MinimServer enables the folksonomy of your music collection. Obvious examples are classical music and compilations from any genre but more generally it benefits any information architecture that is not hierarchical. Where it really shines is when music wants to escape the industry release-oriented approach. You could see this as a bottom-up approach, rather than the top-down driven approach of a hierarchy. MinimServer, on the other hand, has been built in a more flexible fashion: using its intelligent browsing mechanism you can select genres, composers and other fields to progressively narrow down the results across the library. Broadly, most UPnP media servers approach library browsing from the traditional artist / album / track hierarchy. And, indeed, many UPnP servers are pretty similar, offering similar browsing capability. If a standard is overly prescriptive, it means the software writers have less leeway to be creative in how their software works. Nevertheless, without UPnP we'd have a much more closed choice of software to construct our home music networks. In practice it can be a bit more tricky than that, with some servers supporting different capabilities. It defines how libraries can be browsed, and how playback itself can work.īecause UPnP is a standard, it means (in theory) you can choose which UPnP source ( Media Server), controller ( Control Point), or playback device ( Renderer) you like. It's an industry standard that defines how media (that's music to us) sources and playback devices interact. Browse different: why MinimServer stands out from the UPnP crowdįor the DIY digital audio enthusiast, UPnP is often the bedrock of a home music network.

Naval combat which looked brilliant is just a pain and even after 250 hours i have no clue how it works resulting in the imperfect auto resolve option being used the majority of the time. Now the game has been patched its a far better gaming experience but doesn't live up to M2:TW and Rome:TW, battles just aren't as fun or engaging and sieges in particular are a mess.No longer do you attack castles/towns with the buildings from the campaign map instead you attack different forts which are pretty much the same every-time and offer little variety of strategy required to capture them. the economy in this game plays a huge role, at first the game looked terrible to me, there is no proper welcome, if you don't go throught at least the first 2 chapters of the "road to independece" you wont know how to play, but after you play that campaign, the game opens the amazing and large options it has, because of the use of gun powder you have to use completly diffrent tactics. Who doesn’t love angry Mountains? Here’s the Mono Red list I am beginning with:īetween Stromkirk Noble, Bloodcrazed Neonate, and Stormblood Berserker, we’re gonna get some +1/+1 counters on our creatures. Oh, that and Koth of the Hammer ultimates. One of the more exciting interactions I am looking forward to is between Volt Charge and red creatures that get +1/+1 counters on them. This build does need a bit of work after some testing with it, but the general idea is there. Mentor of the Meek seems like he would do really well in such a deck. There is a possibility that this deck would be better just as mono-white, using cards like Honor of the Pure as well. While I’m sure there is going to be a deck much more fitting for Snapcaster Mage in the format, he still fits nicely into Hero-Blade. Playing both a 2/1 creature and an instant on our opponent’s turn is pretty sweet. While this version seems to be more of a tap-out style with this many creatures, Snap provides us with some mid- to late-game advantage. Having cheap instants such as Dismember, Mental Misstep, Divine Offering, to name a few, gives this guy some insane utility and card advantage. I would play Snapcaster Mage if the only instant or sorcery card I played in the deck was Mana Leak. Tiago Chan’s Invitational card has raised a lot of eyebrows and caused deckbuilders to wonder how good the card is. If this guy gets big, I’m sure cards like Geth’s Verdict could end up in some of the black decks, but that’s why he isn’t the only creature the deck plays! Dismember I am sure will still be played in a number of decks, and the invisible dude dodges that (and every other spot removal in the format!). Get either sword on this guy turn 4 or 5 attacking, and you’re going to put some crazy pressure on your opponent. Our 1/1 hexproof, unblockable blue creature for two mana fills this role very nicely. Once cards like Sword of Feast and Famine were introduced to the deck, the Hawks became incredible sword wielders. Squadron Hawk’s primary role in the first Caw-Go decks was the ability to have a cheap, evasive threat to attack planeswalkers. One of the more exciting cards for this deck will be Invisible Stalker. But a majority of the cards from the “creature heavy” versions will remain in the format. Now, obviously several of the cards are rotating, including Squadron Hawk and Preordain. We’re going to start with a deck that some of you might be hoping will just die: Caw-Blade (or U/W Aggro-Control). While you’ve most likely never seen any of my decks Top 8 a Standard tournament, you might after you read this. I rather enjoy coming up with new deck ideas for the competitive scene. People want to know what to play once rotation comes around, especially with The 2011’s shortly after the Innistrad Release in October. Zombies and Vampires and Werewolves—Oh, my! We’re definitely not in Kansas anymore (or Zendikar, for that matter). So what does the future hold for us in Standard? A 17th century, European, Gothic/Horror themed set, oozing with flavor. Our beloved Lightning Bolts and Squadron Hawks will also take a bow, along with other Core Set favorites that didn’t make the cut this summer. Gigantic 15/15 Time Walking ridiculous fliers, lands that Lightning Bolt you, and recurring 4/3 hasters  will now be memories of the format. Zendikar block saw two cards banned in Standard for the first time in years in Jace, the Mind Sculptor and Stoneforge Mystic. It’s that time of the year again—the time where we say “good bye” to an entire year’s worth of cards in Standard and welcome the first set of a new block.
