fun fact they're actually acronyms. foo stands for Fucking Orbitrary Object and bar stands for bAnother Arbitrary rObject. as you can see the name "rObject" contains the name "Rob" in it and Rob is short for Robert so if you have any complaints about it you should blame uncle bob (as that is always the morally correct thing to do in every single scenario)
