“If you are receiving this letter please read it with caution, guard your mind and make sure you are alone.

After the meeting last week many have feared that both Marnie and I had perished but I managed to get away. I had been worried of what could happen if the meeting did go south and so I prepared a protection spell and a way to escape if needed. I tried to offer it to Marnie but she had assured me that there was nothing to worry about.

To answer some of the questions that have been floating around as to why the dragons were awakened; Marnie had misunderstood a vision that she had, a prophecy about Circle Daybreak and its future. One that she thought would help us succeed in our fight for equality of all species. A few other members of the Circle Daybreak council and I disagreed and encouraged her against it but Marnie was determined it was the only way, and as anyone who knew her, she was an incredibly charismatic and powerful witch.

As for my whereabouts, part of our council, the few who had larger doubts from the offset, did not attend the meeting and they have kept me safe and hidden while I prepared to return.

While I have been away I believe I have discovered a way to put the dragons back to sleep. Permanently this time. Unfortunately, this task will not be an easy one and I will need the help of more witches and other members of the Night World for it to be successful. I promise here and now that I will resolve this, for no one else need get hurt or be put in danger for the actions of Marnie and I.

Please be aware and keep an eye out for further messages. We are fighting against too many who already have faith in the dragons, and those we can trust are few.

CIRCLE DAYBREAK MEETING 

What was supposed to be a meeting for Circle Daybreak took a drastic turn. In attendance to the meeting was Edgith, Marnie, old and new Circle Daybreak members, the curious public, and last but not least the dragons. Amongst the crowd were the new members of the group that had been recruited by Lysandros and Saphrax after specific orders from their leader Terrowin.

Tension was in the air and there seemed to be a sort of divide between Edgith and Marnie. Members of CD and people close to them mentioned how that had been the case since the awakening of the dragons. What Marnie believed to be a vision, a prophecy, and the answer the the success of Circle Daybreak turned out to be the complete opposite.

Marnie held hope for the meeting, that maybe things would turn around. But quite the opposite happened when things took a drastic turn. One moment the tensions were high and the next moment all people could see was fire. It seemed as like the dragons had noticed they found the perfect weak moment and felt it was their chance to take control. 

Marnie perished while Edgith managed to get away, some assumed that she used her magic to escape at the last second. While others were convinced that she had perished with the Marnie. After this the dragons assured that this would be the fate of anyone who doubted them. This riled up a lot of fear for the witches but also a lot more support and excitement for the dragons.

Although this wasn’t the old burst of confidence that they had. While they were having the meeting some may or may not have noticed that Andoni and Xaxi were not in attendance. What they were up to is currently unknown. 

With news of this event spreading around like wildfire it will spark a lot of reactions from your characters! They can show support, worry or drive to take more steps to make this come to an end. Keep an eye out for more news on Circle Daybreak and what happened to Edgith.

During this time Governor Clarington and Burt Hummel were kidnapped. It is not known what had happened to them, who took them, where they are or if they are okay. This will not be public knowledge until the family members realize what had happened and tell others.

Under this read more is the headcanons of the characters that were in attendance to the meeting. 

Aubrey Weston

Now that the meeting he's spent so much time gathering recruits for is finally happening, Lysandros is happy to let their leader do most of the talking. His part of the plan is complete, for now, and he's confident most of the people in the room are allied to their cause. The ones that aren't — well either they will be soon or they just.... won't be around for much longer. Terrowin seems to think the same, because as soon as the witches start arguing on whether or not to put their faith in them, Terrowin signals, and Lys is transforming and then blasting fire towards the two Daybreak leaders.When Aubrey got to the meeting he'd been so eager for, he'd still tucked himself into one corner, close enough to see and hear everything clearly but not close enough to draw attention to himself. He'd been surprised to see Sebastian at the meeting, but tried not to let it show when the vampire settled somewhere near him. He focused intently on the conversations happening between the dragons and the audience, as well as the debate going on between Marnie and Edgith, but the minute the dragons started transforming, he could feel his stomach drop, and instinctively, he was ducking away for cover for the fire, pulling Sebastian out of the way with him.

Diego Lopez

Diego was having a great time at the meeting. Dragons were hot, and social justice was hotter. He'd given Lysandros a cheery wave when he first arrived, pulling his snacks out of his bag and popping open his first bag of chips. He sighed a little as Edgith and Marine started arguing -- they needed to argue with the NGW, not with each other. Rolling his eyes, Diego bent down to grab his next bag of snacks -- and when he looked back up, everything was on fire. He yelped, transforming quickly into his rabbit form, lower to the floor and away from the smoke and flames. Diego ran (hopped) for the exit, between legs and under chairs -- but realised with a sinking heart that he'd left his chips behind. Pausing, he debated going back for them, but he could see the packet curling with green flames, and knew it was a lost cause. It wasn't worth getting his fur singed for. Disappointed, he hopped out of the door, leaving the chaos behind.

Saphrax

Saphrax felt bad and could feel Terrowin's glare. He was too focused on blending in, that he didnt recruited anyone and it killed him. Though, when the fire started, he felt the joy that he felt the day that they killed the councilmen.

Jackie St. James 

Jackie had a worried feeling in the pit of her stomach when she came to the meeting with Peyton. She was close to backing out but she didn't want to let her friends down or even risk the chance of the dragons wondering why she wasn't in attendance. As the meeting progressed her body tensed, she could sense the frustrations and the worry. Normally she wasn't one to try to read peoples minds but she couldn't help but reach out to see if she could learn anything new. Her eyes scanning the crowd to also take note of the members that seemed in support of the dragons. Although before she could learn more she heard the arguments and felt the tension rise. Her eyes quickly moved to the front and she froze in her spot as she watched the dragons transform and burn the Edgith and Marnie without a second thought. While some people watched in shock others fled, a few of the people bumping into her causing her to stumble and fall back. Luckily Peyton was there to put a protective spell on the both of them. After escaping the meeting she met with Hunter half way after he sensed she was in danger.

Peyton Rose 

Peyton had pushed the feeling of uneasy out of her mind, even though she knew Damon would feel an uneasy feeling. She glanced over at Jackie, rubbed her back a bit in a comforting way and slipped her hands into her pockets as they headed into the meeting, hoping that nothing would go down that would put the two in danger. Peyton glanced around to see everyone's reactions to the frustrations and worry on people's faces, she even saw the nods here and there. She furrowed her eyebrows when Edgith and Marnie started to argue with each other, confused by it and felt her breath hitched when she saw them get turned into dust. She quickly put up a shield and protective spell on the both of them. After she made sure that Jackie got out safely and on her way to Hunter, she glanced back as people bumped into her and knew that she needed to get out of the meeting. Once she got herself out of there, she headed over to Damon's house, with dirt marks on her forehead, both cheeks and her chin from falling onto the ground.

Sebastian Smythe

Sebastian had attended the meeting firstly out of curiosity, and secondly to keep and eye on Jackie and Peyton. He has little thought for the dragons, other than the fact that they're preventing full vampire control. He's angry that the NWG are currently doing very little against them and is determined to find a way to eventually take them down. At the meeting, he found himself standing near Aubrey, which conveniently was nearer to the CB witches than he'd anticipated, and was almost submerged by the flames before the shapeshifter pulled him out of the way.  The dragons are almost the last thing on his mind right now, a little struck by the fact that Aubrey had saved his life and now feeling that he owes him a debt of some kind.

KATHERINE SMYTHE

Katherine didn't know why she lied. Telling everyone she had been out of town for the Circle Daybreak meeting when she had shown up the night it occurred. Telling everyone she has abandoned her cell phone and had no clue what was going on when she had continued to keep tabs on the NWG. She watched as the horror unfolded and the fire engulf the council, staying hidden in the back, letting the anger rush through her veins. Someone would pay for this. Her little European getaway had isolated her from the NWG, and after seeing their lack of action against the dragons and its result, she left again before she could be noticed, deciding that she needed time to deal with her conflicted feelings.

BURT HUMMEL

Despite his son's vocality, Burt hadn't made up his mind about the dragons yet. Historically, they had been oppressors and, sure, killing the council wasn't exactly nice, but neither was the council themselves. Burt wanted equality among the races, and the dragons likely weren't going to bring that. But getting rid of them was only going to push the shapeshifters down even further. He agreed with his son that there weren't any good sides to pick from right now, but he was interested in where this dragon meeting was going. Even if he decided not to stay involved with Circle Daybreak any longer, it was better to know what was happening then to be completely in the dark.

 Burt watched Edgith and Marnie. He already knew there was some kind of friction between them, but not any specifics. Still, for them to argue in front of everyone wasn't a great sign. The next thing he knew, heat and fire took over. All he could smell was the burning flesh and all he could hear was the panic of everyone around him. Only a few seconds later, he could feel a darkness inching into his brain and his body began to move on its own towards the door. He was met there by one of the dragons - the small one with long, brown hair. "You're coming with me." They informed him, and that was the last thing he knew before he was completely under their mind control.

I am so in love with Bad Town RP (@badtownrp) and the people there. From the moment I joined everyone was so welcoming and inclusive, ready to plot or help me develop my character and connections. I really don’t think I’ve felt this good about a character I played or this excited to catch up on a dash in a very long time. Thank you to everyone there, especially the incredible admins, for giving me back my joy of roleplaying.
