"There is nothing to explain." he said, his voice harsh as he crossed his legs, still sitting on the bench. He looked as his nails as she continued to talk, not at all interested by what shew was saying. Rolling his eyes for the tenth time that day, he finally looked directly at her, his glare piercing and deathly. "Listen, there is many things in life that should be kept as it is, meaning unsaid. If you don't get that then I don't know what to tell you." he paused before he finally got up. "There is no point in trying to pull us into a team. It.won't.work." it was cleared. He didn't want to deal with this anymore. "Now I have better things to do than argue." He brushed by her and swung his bag over his shoulder. He needed to relax. He really needed to or he was going to explode. She better not follow him because up until now, he had been pretty nice to her. An angry Bacon was not something people wanted to see. And so, he started walking toward the music room. There only could he finally have peace of mind and maybe sing. Maybe.
(Class)Mates | Sohee & Baekhyun
“You have to explain to me..” she started, hoping that her conversation with him would really lead them to somewhere. “What did I ever do to you for you to treat me like this?”
He had ignored and despised her at how many times already and she didn’t even bother at first. Maybe some people were just really like that. But this boy right here was just too difficult to get along with. Yet, she swore that she won’t be giving up on them, the way some people gave her up.
“I do understand the task, okay? It’s just that, you always tell me with your actions how you hated me so much. I am sorry if it seems like I am investigating you but… you know..” nodding her head, eyes on her front, not even bothering to look at him in the eye. “Just tell me. I won’t be mad.”

"I hope you're going to stay because I'm not planning on ... leaving for England anytime soon." Actually, he never returned after what happened, and never did his mother forced him into remembering the place even if it was still part of him. After all, he was still half Korean and half English and he would never deny half of himself. He loved his mother way too much anyway. It was impossible to deny her; they looked exactly alike. At least ... if you considered the fact she had long blond hair and blue eyes and that he had inherited the brownish almond shaped eyes of his father and darkish scalpe. "Bryan," he said, his voice soft. That name; the only person who called him so in the last year was his mom. "I like it." he grinned. "And I promise I'll stay with you, no matter what. I'll fight for you if I have to." Now that they were standing in front of the cafeteria menu, Baekhyun hummed. He didn't know what to take. When Taeyeon called out the noodles and eggs, a wide smile grew on his lips again. "Krisus I love you. How can you remember all of that? It's still my favorite!" he admitted, pointing at the number thirteen. "Right there, it's not as good as when your mother used to do it for the both of us, but it still one hell of a good replacement." he took her hand in his, now playing with her fingers, pouting, "Will you buy it for me?" he asked, the tone resembling the one he used to take when he wanted something years ago. The Bryan Taeyeon used to know never disappeared, he just got scared and tried to hide somewhere, inside of him. "You know," he said, his voice soft, "I never imagined, in the past few years that I would be able to see you again. When I ... moved, I missed everything back in England, my Korean was so limited that it was almost impossible for me to talk with others, but I remembered you Noona, and you were the one to give me the little strength. It was small thing, but I missed you so much, I told myself that if one I day I succeed at learning Korean, maybe you would come back to Korea, and maybe we would meet, and maybe we would be able to bond again." he smiled at the idea. "I wish you had been there for all of those years," he confessed, now hanging his head low. Maybe, just maybe, if they had been together, Baekhyun wouldn't have turned out the way he is now. The other hypothesis was that he still would have turned like this and because of too many differences would have walked different roads. His stomach growled.
Comfort || Taeyeon & Baekhyun
She felt relief flooding over her when he promised not to run away from her, the look in his eyes and the warmth that radiated from his hands onto hers telling her that he had sincerely meant it. “Well… It does seem like my mother has greater determination this time to stay in Korea for good, even though nobody knows for sure but,” she patted the back of his palm light in reassurance, “I’ll put up a good fight if the need arises. Noona will stay here for you, Bryan. I promise I will,” she smiled, looking into his eyes, conveying the silent message: I will never let anyone hurt you.
It was good to know that all puberty did was make him grow a few inches taller, not out of her reach, and that the years that they had spent apart didn’t make them distant from each other. Boy, it really was good to know. Maybe absence really does make the heart grow fonder. Now that she was looking at him closely, beginning the preliminary stage of her inspection, she could tell that he had lost his baby fat, the chubby cheeks that she had used to pinch all the time, and kiss whenever he wasn’t looking, and that dark shadows had made the area around and under his growing eyebags their permanent residence. She didn’t know the cause of it, and she wasn’t the kind to jump to conclusions, even if she had her suspicions, but it made her feel uncomfortable. “Let’s go,” she hooked her arm around his and tugged him along forcefully, heading straight for the cafeteria. She didn’t care if dinner was just an hour away, and it doesn’t matter if he had a heavy lunch, she would feel better if she saw him eat. She had to.
Ignoring the weird glances that the other students were shooting them, since they were huddled so close that their sides were touching, she studied the menu and turned to ask him with a big smile, pulling him closer as if she was afraid that he would slip away if she wasn’t careful, “Do you still like noodles? And eggs?” She hoped that he would say yes, as much as she hoped that regardless of what had happened, he was still the Bryan that she knew. But she had patience, and she was willing to pick up the pieces and put him back together, and even if he couldn’t go back to being the old him, he would still be the Bryan that she loved. That she will love forever, and always.

Baekhyun laughed and roll his eyes. "Then do you really need it? I think this one fits me better." he pointed at another bracelet before he tried it. It was a bit more manly and it definitely fit him well. He admired the jewelry and finally took it off to give it back to the shorter girl. "Let's get to the cash, I want to grab an ice cream on the go." he said as he finally headed to the line. As they were walking, he gave the death look to two of the guys in another line who were basically eyeing Sunny too much for their own good. He wrapped his arm around her shoulders to keep her close. He knew those guys ... they weren't the best to be seen around with. Also, they weren't that good looking. "Those guys," he pointed at them obviously, "I don't want to see you near them okay?" he asked almost protectively.
Shops | Baekhyun & Sunny
“Well, alright…” She knew that Baekhyun wasn’t going to change his mind. Sunny just wanted to help him out, but if he didn’t want her to buy him anything she certainly wasn’t going to force him to say yes. She was stubborn but, Baekhyun was her best friend. “Yeah, I really like that one!” She admired the necklace. “Well, yes, I do have a bracelet like that but, they’re not exactly the same.” The bracelet was almost identical to the another one she already had. The only difference was that it was a slightly different shade of gray. “It looks good on you!” She laughed. The bracelet was for women but Baekhyun could pull of anything, really.

mind virus
The campus had been quiet for a while after the videos of Jaesun and the people he knew had taken over the school’s airwaves. Many were relieved with the serene change, but others, perhaps smarter than their peers, or more paranoid, were worried. It felt like the calm before the storm. But as weeks went by where nothing happened, people began to forget, but it was the wrong time to.
In this day of technology, many texts messages, video calls, multimedia messages are exchanged every day. Spam emails, junk mail, viruses, porn. Everything you could think of can get posted to the internet and in only a few seconds, the world could know about your drunken night or your one night stand. Employers could look at your history through your social networking profile, and what you have on there could make or break you.
People were warned of phishing scams and virus emails. Be careful of those suspicious emails asking for passwords or credit card numbers. Be careful of emails from random strangers, telling you to click a link to look at photos of yourself. But the day the email spread, no one could help themselves as they dragged their mice to click on the link. It was from a mysterious person. The email contained nothing but a link, but everyone knew. It was Jaesun’s anon.
As soon as the link was clicked, they were taken to a website. Those that clicked were greeted with a blank white page, but as soon the mouse was moved, pictures popped up of Jaesun, Jaesun and his parents, and Jaesun’s parents with prominent political figures, highly ranked officers and socially hailed businessmen and women.
But the photos that got the most interest were the photos of Jaesun’s parents with mysterious people, dressed from head to toe in black Gothic clothing. And as the pictures kept coming up, people began to notice these people were in all of the photos. They weren’t always in front of center, but if you looked closely, they were in the corners, the background, a hand with a Gothic ring on it. And after two minutes, the website would play a high-pitched sound that could only be stopped once the website was closed.
After a reset, those that were brave or curious enough to click on the link checked their computers, but no damage had been done. But a mind virus had been implanted in the student body of HPU. Once again, Lee Jaesun had taken over the minds of those that inhabited the school.

The first thing that came to his mind, when Taeyeon opened her mouth again, was to shut her up. He covered her mouth in a matter of seconds. He didn't do such thing because they were in a library nor because he didn't wanted her to talk, he knew better than that, but that name; that nickname she was going to give him ever after all those years, he couldn't, he really just couldn't. 'Boogie Ball' it was. Where it all started, he never knew, but the nickname wasn't his favorite. It was not in the past, and it surely wouldn't be today. But how could Baekhyun be mad at her? It was impossible; just impossible. She was different, different from all those girls he met. She was a sister. A real one. Not a friend, a sister. "Jesuskris, I missed you too." he smiled widely and hugged her back, nuzzling his nose in the crook of her neck. This was not the Baekhyun everybody knew. It was the little brother Taeyeon met a long time ago when they were living in England. "Of course I grew taller!" he chuckled, "You're the one who actually shortened." he laughed at his own comment and looked behind him to see the oh so librarian rolling like a buffalo to them. It was an enjoyable view actually; to see her so pumped over such a small fact. Usually Chanyeol would shut him up before she gets to roar at them, but then, this time, there was no best friend ready to cut his, or more like their voices down. Running hand in hand with another woman was not something the younger man was use to. He did sleep with them, but never went on a date with a girlfriend. Ungh, but Taeyeon wasn't his girlfriend, she was his very best friend and the first person he would actually open to like he always did. The thing was that he looked completely fine, yes, he looked like someone who had the perfect life for the last five years. But he did not. What she was the most afraid of actually happened to him. He would not be weak in front of her though. Baekhyun didn't want her to worry. He just wanted his Noona back, nothing else. He felt way safer when she was here with him, and now that he thought about it, something in his heart felt different. She was there. Everything would be okay. "I promise Noona," he hugged her as tight as he possibly could. He then lift her from the ground as he span around for a second or two. He finally let her back down, but not without another hug. Anybody who would see him at the moment would probably think he was crazy, but it really felt good to let go of his mask for a couple of minutes. He was finally able to be himself after years. "I will not run away, not ever, but only if you promise me you won't move far away." he pouted as he took both of her hands in his.
Comfort || Taeyeon & Baekhyun
“Boogi-” He had his palm covering her mouth tightly before she could even call him by the nickname that she had for him, yet all she could do in her state of ecstasy, was grin as widely as she could at him like a complete idiot, but it didn't matter, because he was her beloved Boogie Ball. She haven’t gotten into the serious inspection that was on her agenda, to assess for any injuries or damages, but Bryan was alive and breathing with all his limbs in tact, standing right before her, and that was all that matters. “I missed you so much,” she sighed, enveloping him in yet another suffocating hug, frowning slightly when she realised a substantial physical change in him, “You grew taller,” she pulled back to look at him and sulked for a while, as if feeling betrayed, since her height has been pretty much stagnant the year she turned 15. Hands creeping up to pat and pinch at his cheeks, she started giggling hysterically, completely forgetting that they were in the sacred library where silence should be observed, “Awwwww noona missed you so much~”
She was just about to start attacking him with her greasy lines, because she had enjoyed watching him cringe whenever she teased him, when she spotted a very furious librarian coming their way. “Uh oh, trouble’s on the way Boogie,” she murmured, disentangling herself from him, and the next thing she knew, they were dashing out of the library compounds, the contents of their bag almost spilling out having been stashed away in a hurry. It should’ve been awkward, the way that their hands were locked together tightly, but she threw herself at him anyway when they had reached safe grounds, jumping up and down, squealing in excitement as she chanted the words ‘I missed you so much Boogie’, in as many different permutations as she could come up with, having not yet recovered from the more than pleasant surprise.
She was relieved to know that she was still controlled, despite how uncontrollably elated she was that tears were welling up in her eyes, as she had managed to stop herself from touching a nerve with the playful accusation ‘how dare you leave your noona just like that’. She definitely could not afford having him shutting her out when she had just gotten him back. He looked perfectly fine, but she could only pray that he really was. She had encountered much too many who were capable of looking like nothing was wrong, while being perfectly broken inside, and Bryan could just as well be one of them. The thought of it made her heart ache. She pulled him into an embrace again, ignoring the stares of people who were passing them by, pouting as she sniffled slightly, “I’m not letting you out of my sight again, silly Boogie. Noona will protect you. So don’t try to run away.”

As soon as the librarian saw him entering the place, a big frown appeared on her face. Hell what? Was he not welcomed in here at all anymore? Maybe ... well, he was thrown out of the library many times before, many, many, many uncountable times before because of his loud bickering. It wasn't his fault, alright? People just happened to associate silence with the word library. Yes, they did, and a long time ago, so there was no point in arguing to change the rule. If only the librarian's eyes had lasers or gun, maybe he would be dead by now. So yes, anyway, he still stepped into the place, holding his head up high. What was he doing in here anyway? Oh yes, he needed to find a book for his Creative Writing class in which .. he was paired up with Sohee, which was not a good thing and thinking of it just made him sighed very heavily. How did they end up together already? Hazard ... He snorted. Hazard my ass. Out of all people in the class, he was paired with the one he just couldn't stand? He could have been paired with Krystal. But no! Hazard wanted him to be paired with Sohee. Way too into thinking he would have been better paired of with somebody else than her, he did not look in front of him. That was nothing new, but usually Chanyeol was there to make sure he did not feel into anybody. This time around, the other was somewhere ... he didn't really want to know where or with whom. Yes, Byun Baekhyun was jealous of anybody getting near his best friend. It was pretty obvious, but hey, do not get him wrong. Anyway, when he collided into the wall, or was that a person in front of him, he swear under his breath. Was he going to kill somebody on the spot? His right foot was hurting like no other. The surprise on his face when he was hugged though probably was very funny. He didn't expect someone he didn't know to hug him like that when she apparently just bumped into him. He habitually didn't hug people unless they were very close. "What is ..?" Her face ... she matured a lot, and her hair were now blond, but it was definitely Taeyeon. That noona he missed so much! It was almost impossible! He thought of her not even an hour ago! Not even! Smiling widely, more than he probably smiled in a while, Baekhyun finally squealed as while and hugged her bag tightly. She was so short! Even shorter than him! Omg, he needed to contain his happiness, otherwise they would be thrown out of the library in the next seconds by the librarian giving them LE death glare. "Oh my god, this can't be! I can't believe it! Noona?!" he finally backed off the hug slightly to look at her. "I can't believe it's you!"
Comfort || Taeyeon & Baekhyun
Her loud sigh had the rest of the table turning to shoot displeased looks at her, bowing her head apologetically as she scrambled to pack the stack of books that she was going to return to the shelves, a certain ache in her chest started to make itself known as she found herself missing her favourite dongsaeng once again. Her eyebrows were furrowed so hard in worry, about his whereabouts and well-being, that she was certain wrinkles were going to start to appear. She remembered how she had always joked about him making her worry all the time because he knew little about how to take care of himself, and how all the worrying would make her age prematurely and he was going to have to take responsibility for her, his ‘noona nanny’, and how it warmed her heart whenever he readily agreed to the ‘request’. She had always wanted a sibling for company and to watch over, but her parents somehow came to the conclusion that having one child was already more than what they had bargained for, so her wish was never granted. It bothered her though, that they had thought this way, when she sincerely felt that she had been trained to be rather independent.
But nothing was comparable to Bryan, especially the gut feeling that she had gnawing at her since the day she realised he was gone, that something bad has happened. And try as she might she couldn’t guess what was it that had forced him to leave, so suddenly and without a trace. Could it be her? Had she said something insensitive that scarred him to the point that he couldn’t face her to even reprimand her or say goodbye? That was nearly impossible since she was never the kind to openly insult let alone degrade anybody, especially when he was someone so dear. The angsty monologue in her head about Bryan always ended with the same conclusion: how badly she regretted not getting to know his friends at school, because she didn’t want them to get judgmental about their platonic relationship, and how she might never ever find out what happened, where did he go, where is he now, and if he is okay. She could only hope that he is fine, wherever he is, and that he would remember her like how she never forgot him.
Heaven forbid that the tormentingly long day would let her off without mishaps - she had been so absorbed in her thoughts that her feet was just propelling themselves forward blindly, it was a miracle that she hadn’t bumped into a wall or a shelf, but the miracle didn’t last long. Before she knew it, she had walked right into a guy and dropped her heavy stack of books, onto both of their feet, but before she could react to the pain, she thought to apologise for her clumsiness. And that was when she saw his face. Without hesitation, she threw her arms around him and squealed, finding it hard to believe yet too overjoyed to care. Miracles do happen it seems.

Baekhyun wouldn't skip a meal ... never. Food was way too joyful in his mouth. He loved to eat! And of course, girls would forever be jealous of him because even if he ate whatever he wanted to eat, he would never gain weight. He liked it. He wasn't forced into doing any physical activities which he kind of didn't like other than football. Anyway, his father and mother always gave him money to survive a month. If only Byun Baekhyun didn't like to attend parties and drink, it would be great. He just didn't call his parents for more money at the beginning of the month. He forgot .. anyway, he should definitely find a job. If ever Baekhyun could convince his best friend to stop. To stop all of this and to never touch drugs again he would do it. But that again was something unspoken between the two of them. He would not go to Chanyeol and tell him it's bad because he knew the taller man knew it. As the girls passed beside them, Baekhyun rolled his eyes. Yes he knew, Chanyeol was handsome, but those girls were not forced into making it so obvious when walking beside them! He snorted and finally walked away with his friend. "Oh geeze, you're complaining when I'm suppose to threat you? Like seriously?" he pinched him on the arm and rolled his eyes again at the attitude. "Spoiled kid." he said under his breath. "You see, it's over there." he pointed at the shop at the end of the road with the 'Café' sign. "Now stop complaining." He grinned, looking at the younger man, "That's my job." He winked.
Studying? | Chanyeol & Baekhyun
Unlike most of the rich kids around campus, Chanyeol didn’t like to flaunt it. As long as he ate three times a day he was fine. Sometimes not at all. He’d get too distracted with homework or getting his motorcycle repaired from his night time escapades, that he’d forget that food was an actual necessity. And where he got the money for those repairs? Let’s just say that there are some pretty stressed out kids that need a quick fix and feel the clouds. Chanyeol knew that Baekhyun was aware of this side job he had, but there was no way in hell he was going to tell him directly. If Byun Baekhyun knew, he wasn’t going to probe… and if he didn’t, well, that’s fortunate of him, being unaware his friend was a part time drug dealer. Just something to add to the list of the demented things Park Chanyeol is labelled with.
“Baekhyun, if this place is far I’m not going with…” Chanyeol added as he stretched his arms out, yawning lightly as they walked on the side walk, next and passing by other students. Girls were ogling at his friend, there was no surprise there. Byun Baekhyun was handsome, he could be loud sometimes, but he’s an interesting person to talk to. If only he’d stop hanging out with Chanyeol, he could score a suitable girlfriend and do everything he pleased to do. It wasn’t that Chanyeol didn’t like him around, he did, a lot actually. It was just he didn’t think his company was healthy for Baekhyun.

Well, that teacher wasn't very nice. Even if Baekhyun wasn't a big fan of team work, he was still a good student. He might dislike mathematics, but he really was good at other things that didn't get around it. He had a natural talent in school even if he didn't especially like it. All of his work were given on time and he habitually had one of the best mark in the class. All of those students should just .. get lost because they missed something great on the team work with him. He wouldn't have minded if it was any other guy or girl from the class ... but forcing him into Sohee was a bit too much. It was such a baby thing to do, but he really didn't want to be paired up with her. He had vow himself not to ever get close to her. Why? Oh dear why Baekhyun? That was a good question. He didn't remember why ... but he remembers he did. When he sat on the bench, it was quite a relief. Then only, he opened his book to check on the project. It was quite easy. What was there for them to be paired up as a team when the project was easier than other things they did before. Rolling his eyes, he let his eyes wandered on the paper. When he heard that voice again, Baekhyun blinked. Okay, so she really did not understand. Closing his book and putting it back in his bag, he sighed soundly. He did not want to deal with all this at the moment, and even less with her. "Are you deaf? Is there something I need to repeat?" he asked, his voice loud. He hated those kind of people ... at least he hated them when he didn't know the other which was actually Sohee at the moment.
(Class)Mates | Sohee & Baekhyun
Sohee rolled her eyes even more at the way Baekhyun acted. And everyone in the class saw how Sohee was being rejected by her partner. And above all, he was making it look like she was so desperate into being partners with him. The hell, no! Not even with someone who treats her like this.
Narrowing her eyes, desisting her annoyance, she turned to the teacher and asked him, “Excuse me professor. You have just seen how that boy acted towards me. Would you even allow that to happen to your precious student?” turning to the rest of the class, getting their nods of approval. They were thinking that she has a point. And besides, Baekhyun was someone who wasn’t really that famous in class. Sohee was more sociable and friendly, hence always winning the hearts of her classmates. “Professor, I request that you assign me with another person.” Yet, she just couldn’t really out-win everyone when the professor regrettably said, “Sorry Sohee-ssi. But that would be unfair for your classmates. Besides, no one here really wanted to be paired up with him.”
She responded by nodding her head, “Oh, just why don’t I have Jaehyo’s power at convincing?!” and headed outside to see if she could still follow Baekhyun. ”I can’t believe I’m doing this!” She saw him make a turn down the stairs and sat at an empty bench in the hallway. If she couldn’t out-win her professor, why don’t she try out-winning Baekhyun instead? “I’m sorry but I’m not gonna let you get away just like that,” she countered, crossing her arms while she sat beside him.

His life in England was something he would never be able to forget. From the football play to school to his friends. All of those things were unforgettable. Anyway, tell someone to forget about his whole life, this was not possible. Even through the best and the worst, England was still Baekhyun's favorite place on Earth. It would always be. His mother, whom he missed pretty much a lot at the moment was there, alone, or with a new boyfriend he didn't know and doubtingly wanted to know. He was not very found of people entering his family. Not that he cared, but he wanted to keep it straight and simple. So, England, word full of memories. Memories of the last days he spent in there, draped under the greenish sheet of the hospital bed, the look in his eyes completely blank. What really happened had been discussed between his crying mother and the doctors. But he blocked everything. His brain replaying over and over again what really happened as if it was all a dream. When he woke up from the deep sleep he was probably forcefully put in, he couldn't recall anything. No images, no flashes, no dream, no nothing. When he was announced to leave for Korea, it had been one hell of a shock to him. He had to leave friends and best friends behind without any proper goodbye. No good bye to the Korean girl next door, Kim Taeyeon, his noona he loved and admired probably even more than all of his best friends. But he never could forget her. She was the real sister he never had. The noona everybody would dream of. Over the years, and that even after Baekhyun changed into what he actually was now, a special place in his heart forever was kept for her. Who could have imagined he would be able to find her again? If the younger man was asked if he believed in seeing her again, he would have said no right away. Wasn't she the girl who's parents visited the world. It was crystal clear for him that he wouldn't be able to see his big sister ever again. It was a big hazard that on that day, he happened to think of her. Somehow, somewhat, it felt as if she was there. Which was basically improbable. Wasn't it?
Comfort || Taeyeon & Baekhyun
She hummed silently as her eyes dissected the reading that was the last thing on her agenda for today, sinking lower and lower into her seat as she grew restless, the drowsy afternoon taking its toll on her. Social Theory was by far the most boring subject in her chosen combination, and it didn’t help that she had a thesis paper looming ahead before she could graduate.
It was unlikely of her, but she flipped through the pages mindlessly, skimming to find snippets of text which may interest her, and she did. England. The mention of the name brought a smile to her face, the memories associated with the country completely distracting her from the task at hand. She had spent nearly the entire first half of her sweet sixteen in England, one of her longest period of stay at a place, and the street where she called home, still have their bits and pieces etched in her mind. The unfriendly purr of the neighbourhood cat, the sweet scent of butterscotch from the bakery opposite, the clear ringing of the ice cream man’s bell, her little circle of friends from highschool, and Bryan. The adorable dongsaeng who lived just next door, whom she spent every other afternoon with. She was his unofficial tutor, and he was her endless source of joy. But those weren’t the only things that made him unforgettable.
The way of life that her nuclear family had adopted had its advantages - it promised a way of escape from unwanted conflicts, a method of preventing anyone and anything from getting too close for potential heartbreak. She had learnt not to grow attached, since she never knew when she was going to have to let go, even if there was an unwritten ‘two weeks in advance’ policy, it still wasn’t easy.
But it was different with Bryan Byun - the first person to walk out of Taeyeon’s life, before she did his. She never found out the reason for his absence, there hadn’t been any observable abnormality in his behaviour the afternoon before, but by the time she had returned from her day trip to the beach, he was gone. No words, no goodbyes, nothing. And something in the look of his mother’s eyes told her that she had no choice but to send Bryan away. Karma was finally getting her for leaving people behind all the time.

Baekhyun had no intention to take Chanyeol nor anybody else in pity. He had his own problems to take care of, but still, those things that were left unspoken hurt. It hurt both of them in a way they probably could not even understand. Baekhyun had been there, not from the beginning, but for quite a long time. He knew all of this was a cover. One who has a shell knows how to recognize another nail. But Chanyeol was way deeper under it than the older was. All of this was unspoken, but Baekhyun really did wish he could help his best friend, something he wasn't entirely capable of. At least, that's what he thought. Those times when he watched Chanyeol on his high, not being able to do anything ... it hurt, it really hurt because even if the Diva was crazy, he wasn't crazy enough to forget. Looking straight ahead, he did not see the sad smile on the taller's lips. He quite noticed it in his voice though. The usual. He could perfectly tell when his words or actions touched Chanyeol because he could change from one moment to the other. Still, he didn't say a thing this time. He studied him for a couple of seconds before the pout found his way back on his lips. He didn't want to think. "Aish! How come? That's not fair!" Well, let's hope Byun Baekhyun had enough money, which probably was not the case for both of them. He would buy Chanyeol something and eat later on. "You owe me one." he said as they walked down the stairs of the school to the gate.

There are things better left unspoken. If Park Chanyeol disclosed how he was feeling, how he was really feeling. People would be alarmed, they’d think he was pitiful… and then they’d watch him every day and have him sent home because he wasn’t psychologically capable of coping with his surroundings. Honestly, being home is the last place he wanted to be at. He couldn’t stand being around his father or that house even. College was the best thing that’s happened to him if not for the few people that were too familiar for his liking. Byun Baekhyun was that relief he needed, a big distraction to the frustrations that his past was bringing. He was tired of talking about it, but Baekhyun seemed to be very interested of knowing more about Chanyeol than he shows.
Too much of anything is bad so he tried to calm himself earlier than natural and straightened up, thankful that he had so many years of controlling his emotions. I like it when you laugh, it’s great… His mother used to say that a lot. A sad smile brushed his lips, this time around though if Baekhyun inquires, he would not explain himself. There was no guarantee that he’ll be able to keep himself guarded if he started talking about his mother. To be vulnerable to anyone is not on top of his list this year. “I had my motorcycle overhauled, Baekhyun. I’m broke…” He explained, voice as deep as always, his usual poker face back on.

Maybe, just maybe, if Chanyeol could voice those insecurities to Baekhyun, he could help him? The older man -because yes Baekhyun was older even though he tend to say the opposite and also act as a child- was capable of listening. When the Diva was dropped, and neatly fold into his heart, he was fully capable of helping. People just didn't take him seriously. Not that he wanted them to either, but it was still Chanyeol, and Chanyeol was his best friend. The fact that they were so secretive about each other's life ... wasn't something Baekhyun appreciated, but why talking of it if it was to burden the other even more? That's what friend were suppose to stand for ... still, both of them were quite cowards on that side. "Of course she loves me!" he snorted, throwing his free arm in the air as if it was obvious. "Everybody loves me." The smile on his lips grew softer when he heard Chanyeol laughing. He looked at the front and spoke with a normal tone this time; which was pretty rare. "I like it," he looked back at his friend. "Your laugh." He nodded. "I like it when you laugh, it's great." he grinned and held a bit tighter on the taller man's arm. "So, so so!!?" He jumped on the tip of his toes, "Will you pay?" he asked as if maybe Chanyeol would have changed his mind in a minute. He hoped so because he really doubt the money he had in his bank account right now. But of course, he wasn't going to voice that. Never.

He just pressed his lips together, a small smile at the corner of his lips as Baekhyun continued to talk. It was funny because even if at times it was annoying, Byun Baekhyun’s voice can make him feel better sometimes — like today. And what’s funnier is that, Baekhyun can have a conversation with himself. He could entertain himself and that’s what Chanyeol envied the most. He could never do that. He’s always so emotionally dependent, too emotionally dependent for his own good. Maybe that’s why everything is so screwed up now, why he is so screwed up. He didn’t know boundaries, he just gave and gave himself until nothing was left. Until he couldn’t even recognize himself anymore.
Shoving his personal insecurities at the back of his mind, he focused his complete attention to Byun Baekhyun again, still clinging on him for his dear life as he began to scare himself with his own thoughts only making Chanyeol’s smile grow wider. “The librarian seems to really like you a lot,” He said sarcastically, an attempt to kill the laughter that was building within his system. Seeing Baekhyun change the topic again, making his attention to be as good as a four year old made Park Chanyeol laugh lightly. The closest to a real laughter he’s ever shown…

Oh, well he was lucky Chanyeol didn't thought he was crazy. Many people gave him weird look, with reasons, when he laughed all by himself. But hey! Everybody was like that! Baekhyun and his divaness were just expressing the emotion on the outside, visible to the human eyes. "All of what you said doesn't even make sense!" he teased because it was true and because teasing Chanyeol was something he liked to do anyway. He did not let go of his friend's arm, still trying to get him. He knew the other's sweet spot was there, somewhere. "But what if I don't have enough money? What if an alien came and took all of it to repair his spaceship? What if there was a BIG rubbery and my money was stolen? What if ..." he paused, trying to find something else. "What if the world decided they didn't want to use money anymore?" he acted almost scared at the idea, his eyes growing bigger as he chew on the inside of his cheek. "Yah, you'll be thankful one day that I stopped you from doing these thing." he made a disgusted face again as he thought of mathematics or whatever it was that he didn't like. When they finally walked out, he could definitely see the relieved look on the librarian's face. He waved at her, smiling widely and after stepping out, he's pretty sure she fainted. "Will you not pay for your dongsaeng?" he pouted again.

Seeing and hearing Baekhyun laughed to himself wasn’t a new sight for Chanyeol. It had been so often that if Baekhyun didn’t do it, he might be worried if he was sick or something. At least this laughter was genuine, on certain occasions, Chanyeol would catch Baekhyun forcing his smiles, even if they were just weak smiles, he would be able to tell if his good friend was smiling for real or if he was faking it. “Because you wanted to go there, and now I’m hungry, so you pay.” Chanyeol said not making any sense at all, but at least his reply was more than two words these past few weeks. He swung his head side to side as Baekhyun tried to sway him with his cute puppy eyes, sadly, Chanyeol wasn’t easily moved by cute eyes — even if it was Baekhyun’s.
“Making me stop doing homework to find a cafe you said you knew… You owe me at least a cake and a cup of coffee…” Chanyeol replied, lightly hitting Baekhyun’s head with the books he had in hand. “Now, don’t argue, just walk and pay for my food, Byun Baekhyun.” He added, with a slight hint of laughter this time. He was truly having fun today with him.

Of course! Baekhyun would sedate him. He would also buy a human size luggage so he could ... no, wait, scratch that. An extra human size luggage so that he could force Chanyeol inside of it. Um, wouldn't it be better to sedate him before that? A couple of sleeping pills wouldn't hurt. Then after that, he would make him fit into the big bag and wasn't all of this a little bit too creepy? Shaking his head at the idea, Baekhyun laughed all by himself. Way to look retard in front of everybody young man. So yes, basically, Chanyeol really didn't want to know what was inside of his brain. It definitely could scare him away. It would scare anybody away in this case, even the other man yes. When the shorter man saw a smile on his best friend's lips, he couldn't help but smile even more. Why didn't Chanyeol smile more often already? It was perfect. It was a simple, but pure and easy grin, not like his which was sometimes forced. "What?! How come I'm paying?" he pouted, trying to recall how much money he had in his account, which was not a successful attempt. He gave back the books as he clanged to the other man's harm for a couple of seconds, his lips accentuating the pout even more. "Finding the place and bringing you there; I thought it was enough for you to pay." Damn puppy eyes. "Pleaseee?"

He sighed and gave up, at this point he was sure that Byun Baekhyun was going to do everything to make him go to Paris. He might even sedate him just so he could go. He was amused by the idea of it and overwhelmed by how much and how long Baekhyun had stayed by his side despite his shortcomings. He gave himself a mental punch, that one’s for Baekhyun… In his short moments of silence, Chanyeol is puzzled what exactly runs through his friend’s mind, if there was even a bit of tiredness and judgement for him in Baekhyun’s jolly little brain. But when he’s close to asking, he finds himself in retreat for no clear reason. He knew if he asked for details, things might get… awkward.
He smiled about Baekhyun’s response, this time he wasn’t keen about hiding it. Once in a blue moon, Park Chanyeol does smile. And he doesn’t hold back when he is with people he trusted. “I’ll sleep later, I don’t wanna mess up my body clock by sleeping unnecessarily…” Baekhyun continued on with his words, saying something about this cafe or whatnot, Chanyeol only half focused was taken by surprise when his friend took his books making him have no choice but to follow his lead, “What the— Fine, fine… Give me back my books. I’ll hold them.” He sighed taking his textbooks and walking next to Baekhyun. He didn’t mind people seeing how close he was to Baekhyun, they were friends after all. “You’re paying.”

Whatever Chanyeol would say or do, Baekhyun would take it. He never understood why, but somehow, it was a way of thanking him for being there when he himself could be pretty detestable. It wasn't like he was forced into staying friend with the taller man, but he needed to. Park Chanyeol filled a big empty space in his heart. It was impossible for Baekhyun to think of a life without his best friend's tallness and quietness. Could he even say that? Awkward. Anyway, that said to be, Chanyeol was the best he could ever get as a friend. The pout on his face was absolutely obvious by now. He knew the other would say something like that. But he didn't want to let go of the idea. "I don't think an eleven hours plane ride is going to kill you." he muttered under his breath as he crossed his arms under his head, resting on the table. "Let's go take a nap," he proposed as a yawn escaped his mouth and he did nothing to hide the sound it made, "I'm tired." He looked at his watch. It was only a little past four, but they've been in the library for quite a long time now. "Ahhh no, no!" He stood up as the librarian shoot him another death glare. "Let's eat before that! There's that new café down the main street I wanted to try. You can continue studying this," he pointed at the calculus homework disparagingly as he walked to Chanyeol's side, wrapping his arms around him so he could pick up two of the books on the table. This action had no need to be, but he still did it, just for the sake of 'helping' his friend when he didn't even approve of his idea yet.
Studying? | Chanyeol & Baekhyun
It wasn’t that he didn’t care, he was just used of talking so straight forwardly to people that sometimes he forgets that he needed to at least put up a bit of his filter when talking to Baekhyun. He felt bad seeing how upset his friend was, but at the same time, he knew that Baekhyun was aware of him and his anti-social ways. It was automatic for him to talk so openly about death — mainly because Park Chanyeol doesn’t care. “Whatever…” Chanyeol muttered, trying to focus on his work. How ironic it must be! Baekhyun who’s as good as allergic to the very term itself and his good friend Chanyeol taking it so lightly. He felt bad for Baekhyun… He deserved better people to be around him, or should he say, he deserved better than Chanyeol.
We should go to France together then. He looked up from his notes and stared blankly at Baekhyun. “I don’t like to ride planes.” He scoffed resuming as though nothing happened. Although, honestly, he’d really like to go there with his Byun Baekhyun. The last time he had been there was with his mother and he didn’t need to be reminded about those things anymore. Maybe if they did go, the two of them could make new memories together… if only he had the courage.
