Classic Heavy x Therapist lore

You'd think studying a Psychology degree would help you avoid toxic relationships, and it kind of did but...

What if I told you that didn't completely stop Therapist from dating Classic Heavy at some point in her life? 🧍‍♀️

(Sorry, for any grammar mistakes, English is not my first language!! :'')

TW: Slight mentions of/implied ∆buse.

After running away from her home (Valencia, Spain), she immigrated to the U.S. to escape her controlling and overprotective mother, and Sofia/Therapist quickly started working two jobs in attempts to try to live on her own, paying the bills and the rent of the apartment unit she was now living in.

Months later, during one night at one of her jobs at a dinner, a random guy who had been a frequent customer there for the past months, had come at a late hour when Sofia was closing the place for the night. The guy creepily asked her out on a date that same night, but she refused, excusing herself saying she was tired and lied saying she was gonna wait for her boyfriend to arrive. The guy quickly got upset, insisting she didn't actually have a boyfriend because he often saw her walking by herself to the bus station after work. Sofia had no doubt the guy had been stalking her and kept refusing to go with him.

The guy became aggressive and refused to leave until she agreed to go out with him. Then, to Sofia's luck, a large muscular man (Classic Heavy) that still was in the diner drinking coffee, intervened in the situation, beating the stalker up until the guy gave up and he tossed his aching and unconscious body away from them.

After that, she allowed Classic Heavy to accompany her to the bus station. On the way there, CHeavy and Sofia started talking, telling a few things about each other, and when Classic Heavy got to know a bit more about her and the situation she was going through, he offered her a very well paid job as his assistant in his mercenary job. Sofia thought about it while she waited for the bus, and several minutes later when the bus finally arrived, she accepted Classic Heavy's offer and she agreed to meet up with him the next day to start to work with him, so they set a time and place to meet and after that they went their separate ways that night.

Shortly after she started working together, the two developed feelings for each other, and from there it only went from a strange but decent enough relationship to... well, a toxic one.

A lot of arguing, constant disagreements, manipulation...

Not to mention Classic Heavy slowly started belittling Sofia and her work, but still wanted to keep her around because he still liked her, but he had a strange way of showing he loved her. Sadly, Sofia had slowly come to accept these things in the relationship because she was holding on to the few good things left in it and because she was mostly afraid of leaving him and having to go back to being alone and struggling to live on her own…

Almost a year later, Sofia finally grew tired of her exhausting job and awful relationship with CHeavy, so she quit and left TF Classic without saying anything and she ended up at Mann Co. offices to look for a new (and hopefully better) job. It was there that she met Miss Pauling, and after some talk and a couple of interviews, she was recruited as the Therapist for the RED and BLU team. To her surprise, everyone there was a lot nicer than she expected them to be and she quickly grew to like working and helping the mercs there! ❤️‍🩹💜

Just recently I had time to re-write part of Therapist's lore because I didn't completely like what I had at first, so I'm sharing with y'all what I wrote so far. I know not everyone's a fan of toxic ships but hey, at least Therapist and Cheavy aren't together anymore, so... yeah. Still, I hope you liked what I wrote, even though I'm not that good at it.

Real life moment I had with my youngest sister when she was 7.
