   IN A NIGHTMARE VOID, SWIRLING ABYSS WITH BLUE REFLECTIONS, Amidatelion stood over the pools of life watching it swirl of futures yet to write itself. Endless silence. Empty skies that melded with the even emptier drop of nothing, where it too became a sky above, and land below, and everything between. It was bleak. A picture of grey. Old rotting books. Twisted vines. Poisoned waters. 

   But no night lasts forever, and when it hears footsteps approach it pries away from the pooling waters towards the noise of Layle. His presence already seems to lighten up the area. His personality a sun in this bleak graveyard, and the life from the outer world always to brighten this pall over Amidatelion’s home. “Layle,” it greeted. Turning to bow in welcome. A smile might have reached its eyes had it a face. “Did you find out more about the exact location of the Crystal Idol?” It tipped its head to the side, in wonder. There was hardly a beat before a small remark rose from armor. “Don’t tell me you only came here to give an old Yuke company.” A humor in its voice. // @crystalburdened​

[ UNFAMILIAR. ]  was their intonation & yet marked a sentiment he knew all too well.  Such words would pluck the Ascian from his shadowy perch & to lean in with an ANTICIPATION, waiting again to hear this one speak.  For what such a stranger brought to him, Eorzea & her fragments failed to do so for a millennia.  Such a RARITY, such an oddity.  But for that the Architect could not damn this new companion, this interloper.  Nay, far from it.  For but a moment his heartbeat fluttered & pulse ran high.  Alone, gods he was alone in his burden.  Even amoung unsundered brethren, they hardly understood.  To each & their own a motive that differed though yet landed the same mark.  FOR ZODIARK.  But for him, for his people.

[ LIPS. ]  twitched up ‘pon a smile that betrayed the relief & MIRTH that washed over him.  For once, Emet would find consolation & conversation in another.  The GILDED tones flickering about o’er & o’er the oddity’s features.  To use armor as a husk & tool while soul lies intangible.  They too were not truly of corporeal flesh & bone.  The very revelation elicit a faint chuckle that heaved from him.      “You make a daring conjecture to my motive & work.       Yet & oh so yet I do not find insult.  Nay I dare say      I find a temporary companion.  But for you to know      so much of my work leads me to find curiosity with yours.       I am uttered my tale time & time again upon deaf ears,      perhaps you’d regale me yours instead.”

   IN HELL, HEAVEN IS ALWAYS VISIBLE. The glittering sun that filtered softly through the leaves, the rushing waters, the life that connected one another together. So unlike the hell, the endless abyss, the piling bones and death that reached up to their neck. Their soul. Their entire being. Everything so painfully aware what they cannot have. Their hell the blackened abyss. Dark and endless. Alone. And looking upon this kindred soul they too saw hell, but his was burning. Searing and melting skin. Filled with rage. And yet also so alone. 

   So too was Amidatelion curious in the other. For the other’s mortal flesh was beyond the creation of the Crystal Principle. The soul perhaps even predating everything, the world, the sky, the very heavens themselves. And yet so alike in feeling to a Yuke. It felt the imbalance, but it did not destroy the realm around them but rather attempted to mend wounds unseen. His soul was perplexing, to say the least. When it looked at him, it seemed to almost look through them. To the bone of their soul. The very marrow.

   “It is easy to see another’s pain like mine own.” It motioned to itself, its soul. “My tale is a simple one: I wish to bring my people back from the brink of despair. And return equilibrium to my realm.” It turned its helm slightly, observing the fauna and world around it. “But it seems I have displaced myself in another, throwing the very fabric of reality into chaos. I apologize if my presence here is unwelcome.”
