"The Sentinel is a one-man, all-terrain, lightweight, bipedal combat walker that is used by the various regiments of the Astra Militarum. The Sentinel is most favoured when patrols of guardsmen must move across rough terrain that would completely immobilise heavier vehicles.
Sentinels achieve a perfect balance of robustness and mobility, able to negotiate terrain that would immobilise heavier main battle tanks and other armoured vehicles whilst still able to face down fire that would shred ranks of infantry." Some of the Horus Heresy 'Hermes Light Sentinels' to use for the Kriegers since they can field them now, very open topped which I think suits the Korps to a T. Those Scout Sentinels are really going to help out my Artillery with their 'Daring Recon' ability and the Armoured Sentinels are some solid heavy weapons to be running around the field with a 2+ save. Pinned to fit all the weapon options in the kit with some lascannons and big missiles I had lying around in the bits box (those under the cut).

"Then he heard boots on broken wood behind him. It is said that, out of lifelong habit, he uttered a prayer to the Emperor, which went unanswered. He turned to be greeted by a sight even more horrifying than he had imagined. He saw monsters in the yellow fog, with leering skulls instead of faces, black staring eyes and distended snouts; and it is also said that, at this moment, the Chairman broke down in tears of bitter regret and repented for his heresies, though no one can know this for sure. The last thing the Chairman's eyes saw was almost certainly the masked face of a loyalist soldier, looking down on him without pity, without malice, without any expression at all. By then the poison gas may have melted his skin and began to dissolve his brain. It is likely he would have experience hallucinations. It would have been an agonising death, and so it is likely the soldier would have let it run its course rather than wasting ammunition on him." Whole BUNCH of Grenadier special weapons to round out my options for the Legends datasheet and also let me run them as the full Kasrkin squad proxy if desired. Mashed together official kits and bits and pieces from a certain Small Myth (if you dont get it, ask and ye shall receive, kinda hesitant to link to them directly in case the lawyers swoop in) LOVE my trench boys, the Grenadiers were my first exposure to the Kriegers and by the Emperor they have left an eternal imprint on my brain.

"The Medusa siege gun fires a heavier shell than the Earthshaker Cannon at a lower velocity over a shorter distance. The heavy shell has excellent destructive capabilities, but the Medusa cannot match the Earthshaker for its longer range and so is less useful for harassing fire and counter-battery fire missions. Instead, it is primarily used to destroy enemy fortifications, such as bunkers, pillboxes, walls and trenches." Finished up a battery of Medusa Siege Guns. This rounds out my dream Siege Detachment, which shall now terrorise my FLGS tables until I grow tired of it (never). I very much enjoy how ginormous the shells are and the fact that the crew only has a set of carrying arms for one of the poor crew, clearly they've been eating their wheaties! Hopefully GW eases off bumping up Artillery points cost every other week, kinda sucks to be given an army rule that only benefits units that sit still, then nerfing all the units that can actually use it effectively. Will use them regardless, gotta stay On Brand.

"While they were once quite popular with many Imperial Guard regiments, the use of heavy mortars has fallen out of favor in recent years, since for many commanders it lacks both the heavy firepower and long reach of much larger artillery pieces, limiting its use in box-barrages or counter-battery fire. Towed heavy mortars have become even less popular, being seen as too slow to keep up with advancing mechanized units, and have largely been regulated to PDFs and Siege Regiments.
For all their faults heavy mortars also have a number of advantages. They are an excellent close support weapons for engaging enemy infantry and light vehicles, freeing the heavier artillery for use against more appropriate targets, and can maintain a steady rate of fire for hours. Its versatility also allows it to fulfill a variety of other roles, from launching illumination shells during night battles or laying down a smoke screen before an infantry attack." A Heavy Mortar Battery for the Kriegers done and dusted, edging closer and closer to a full Siege Detachment. Love the kit, shame GW doesnt. Will get plenty of use out of them though, gotta live up to the full Space Verdun experience.
No scale pic cause the trench lads are RIGHT there.

" 'My men should be out there.' It was the Krieg captain's voice again. 'No. I'm holding back our infantry,' said Lucien, 'until the biggest guns have been disabled. Then they might stand a chance of making it across that killing field to the enemy. That applies to your Guardsmen and my Space Marines alike. Right now, there's nothing they can do out there but die.' There was the briefest of pauses before the captain said, tonelessly: 'That is what the Death Korps of Krieg does best.' Lucien wasnt sure he had heard correctly; but then, the captain continued, 'Each shell that a Korpsman intercepts is a shell that doesn't hit one of your tanks - which in turn means the tank may keep firing. I have many hundreds of men and they are easily replacable. You have only a handful of tanks that we cannot afford to lose.' He couldn't argue with that logic."
Another Platoon Command Squad for the Kriegers, will use these lads as the namesake and the more armoured Regimental Command Squads as the Tempestus variant (since the Marshal wanders around by himself these days bugger knows why). Gave the Commander a powerfist from an old metal cadian officer kit, looks not too bad if I say so myself. Be nice to have something capable of tickling in melee. No scale pic, since they're to scale.

"People try to 'urt me think I'm stupid, but I'm not. Momma always said 'It's a brave Ogryn to be who he really is!', and Momma dont lie. Just cause I'm big dont mean I'm mean neither, the small 'uns is always a bit spooked by Ogryns, they dont need to be. Like Momma always said 'If there's a bully it's an Ogryns job to stop 'em!" and that's true cause Momma cant lie." Praise be the Auxilia! Full squad of Bullgryn and Ogryn to protect the little 'uns. The models are from Mortian and they have quite the range over there (so many extra bits and weapons and tanks and rats), so please do go check them out! Had to sculpt the grenadier style skulls onto the Bullgryns by hand, as you can see, I got better at it as I went along, never been my strong point. But I think they've turned out not too bad. Trench lad for scale under the cut as per.

"The Malcador Defender variant of the Malcador Assault Tank replaces the standard tank's limited-traverse turret embrasure-mounted Battle Cannon with five Heavy Bolters. The tank retains the original's sponson-mounted weapons but replaces the hull-mounted Heavy Bolter with a Demolisher Cannon. The sponson weapons can carry either two Heavy Bolters, Lascannons or Autocannons. This shifts the tank's role to that of serving as a mobile fortress that is often referred to as a breakthrough tank. It is well-suited to close-quarters combat, trench warfare and urban warfare engagements. In this role, the Defender's Demolisher Cannon can be used against well-fortified positions and enemy strong-points, while its multiple Heavy Bolters can sweep areas for hidden infantry and defend the tank from a close assault." Finished up the Malcador Defender I purchased on the pilgramage to the Warhammer World Open Weekend. It was the last one in the building (perhaps the last resin one at all given the way they've been going), it wasnt even on their inventory system but I NABBED it. Pleasantly surprised by how easy the kit went together, though the tracks gave me problems as always. Magnetised for all sponson options it came with (autocannons, lascannons, heavy bolters)
Pics of each sponson and a Trench Boy for scale under the cut.

"'We're all entitled to time off, Guardsman,' said Commissar Costellin 'In fact, we're a good way overdue, having stayed with the campaign on Dask as long as we did. The Administratum has gone to a great deal of trouble to arrange this layover.' 'Yes, sir.' The Korpsman replied 'I'm sure that, whatever exercises your lieutenant has planned for you, they are voluntary.' Costellin almost pleaded. 'Yes, sir. We all volunteered, sir.' The Korpsman replied. 'Of course you did.' Said Costellin with a sigh. After all this time, he wondered why he had even bothered to ask." The Commissar's Duty fancy model from the Open Day (with a Krieger mask, of course). This is the start of a BIG lot of Kriegers, they have been absent from this page for far too long.
The mask is from the wonderful folks over at Tiny Legend, please do go check them out for your Trench-y needs!

"The Vorax-class Battle-Automata was created on pre-Imperial Mars to fulfil the roles both of search and destroy weapon and exterminator of rogue machines and mutant vermin. Their Cybernetica cortex engrams are known to be particularly predatory and vicious examples of their kind." 6 Vorax to be proxied as Kataphrons of either flavour, these lads look so bloody cool, I wish 40k admech had more designs in this style for their robots. Will hopefully get a game with all the new stuff soon. Pic with Skit for scale under the cut as per usual.

"Primarily intended for siege work and shock assaults, the Castellax Battle-Automata is a hulking humanoid machine with a notoriously aggressive and responsive Machine Spirit, and an enviable reputation on the battlefield." Some Castellax from the pilgrimage to Forgeworld to use as Kastelan Robots for the Admech. Really love how these lads look, hoping to get another 2 and eventually have a squad of 4 of the standard Kastelan kit and these lads. Super easy to paint and put together, wish all forgeworld resin was this nice.

(3 of 3) "The Wall of Martyrs is a type of Imperial fortification. Across the length and breadth of the Imperium, Mankind must defend itself from the predations of aliens and heretics. The Wall of Martyrs Defence Line is very often the first line of defence, a proud bulwark that can be used to resist the onslaught of such foes."
Finally done (and redone) the 2 sets of the Wall of Martyrs trench sets, because of course I had to have them. Had to split it into 3 vids since Tumblr has a 1 video upload limit on posts. Should hopefully look really good on the board all together, Skit For Scale and group shot (of one full set) under the cut on each post.

"Skyshield Landing Pads are used to protect aircraft as they unload supplies or evacuate troops to or from the front lines. Once the craft touches down, the Skyshield’s armour plating transforms into a protective configuration and force field generators shimmer to life, protecting the vulnerable gunship from incoming fire as it refuels, rearms or deploys its passengers."
Finally finished this beast of a terrain piece, barely fit in my lightbox as you can see by the lackluster spin vid. You could probably play most of a game of Kill Team on this thing. Glad it's done, will look good in narrative missions. Glad that the sides are fairly stiff, means you can keep it in a configuration without the hassle of fixing it every three seconds. Pic with Skitarii for scale under the cut, as this post is already huge enough.

"The Omnissiah filled the galaxy with mysteries so that we might learn from them, coming step by step closer to his perfect being. To ignore them, even in the face of war, is heresy." The Big Robotic Cheese himself, Archmagos Belasarius Cawl. Had a little bit of fun with the video, I hope you can forgive me. He was surprisingly easy to paint and put together. A testament to the fact that you CAN make Admech models that dont make the builder want to pull their hair out. Gameplay-wise I really have no idea what he's good at, but will enjoy finding out. He is a very pretty centrepiece model and I'm gonna have fun just seeing him on the table.
I have placed a picture of the gathered Children of the Omnissiah under the cut, for scale purposes.

“An Imperial Bastion is an imposing edifice built from foot-thick ferrocrete and the remains of faithful servants of the Imperium. As they are relatively easy to construct, some planets boast networks of Bastions that span entire continents.”
Imperial Bastion from the last big Made To Order run done and dusted. Took forever due to the size of it and my need to keep things somewhat clean. Will mostly be using it for Narrative Missions since it’s rules and points cost are very much terrible

"Aegis Defence Lines are barricades built from crenelated armoured sections that link together into a solid shieldwall. Their simple design means that they can be built and deployed at great speed, lending them the nickname of ‘instant fortresses’. Aegis Defence Lines are ideally suited for commanders wishing to hold ground in enemy territory or establish defensive perimeters until such time when larger, more permanent fortifications can be constructed."
Aegis Defence Line (built 2, one pictured due to space) from the Made To Order run a whiles back, mostly going to use it for Narrative Missions since the rules and points cost are terrible these days.
