I made dolls of my OC's Ali and Bay!

Been working on them for a few months and now they're complete! They have fully removable clothes in case I ever want to give them seasonal clothes. Now I have my little guys in real life, that I can snuggle and dress up and take pics of if i want

I've seen people online with dolls of their favorite characters, and I'm like I'd one of those. I was thinking of commissioning at first, but then i thought I could make them myself.

I've sewn a few plushes in the past, but this is the first time I've had to make patterns for anything. I did start with a base (that you can find here) for the body and part of the head, but past that I had to figure stuff out on my own. I made paper versions of the items to make sure things were working before cutting them out of fabric. Overall I'm happy with how they turned out!

Been listening to the Epic Musical recently, and the songs have been getting into my head. I've been getting amv's in my head. This was meant to be an animatic, but I liked it, so I did some rough animation with it.

For context, I imagine Bay and Ali are at a festival, this would be early on in their story, so Ali is very guarded, sad and angry, and Bay's trying to get her to open up to the world, and by the end, maybe she starts to do that.

When the melee is playing healer

I think Ali has a pretty big pool of mp, unfortunately she's not good at controlling her magic when she heals, so whenever she casts healing spells they take huge amounts of mp to use. And she falls back on her melee/ monk training

I use the tag "#The Adventures of Ali and Bay" for all my OC art that could be canon to their story, and I use the acronym "#TAAB" for OC but probably not canon art

Fun fact, did you know Ali and Bay's initial character inspiration was Clare and Raki from Claymore. Along with the general vibes from Tegami Bachi/Letter Bee as those were the two manga I was reading at the time. They don't resemble the characters much at this point, but I wanted to make an homage to their beginnings and have them dress like Clare and Raki.

You ever get an AMV of your OC's playing in your head while listening to music? I felt it pretty strong while listening to this song, so i stayed up late and made a doodle animatic. It's a really rough first pass thing, but its nice to get stuff out of my head.
