The humidity outside is so high that the air is sitting thick and stagnant – it feels like it could be cut with a knife. It’s uncomfortably hot, and the air feels almost damp and sticks wetly in your throat as you breathe. Sweat pools in all the most uncomfortable crevices, until the desire to get into the water is less of a passing fancy, and more of an all-consuming need. You slip carefully down the hill, over the dry grass, until you hop down into the fine sand that makes up the little beach in the sheltered cove at the bottom of the hill.

The cove is protected by natural cliffs on either side, with the only access point being the hill that your uncle’s house sits on. It’s small, but the stretch of sand is soft and golden and clean, absent of any tourists and the debris that they tend to leave behind. It is, by all accounts, perfect, and a far better option than the significantly more crowded beach fifteen minutes away. Thanks to the hill and the natural caves, the air is cooler and easier to breathe in the cove. You set out your towel and water bottle near the base of the hill and strip down to your bathing suit, hefting your inflatable floaty up and preparing yourself to march into the ocean. After all the time spent inside your uncle’s grody house, the fresh air and fine golden sand feels like heaven.

When you finally work up the nerve to dip your toes into the water, you have to fight not to recoil from the cold. The temperature of the water is cool and chill, a direct contrast to the heavy, hot thickness of the air, and it takes a few minutes of psyching yourself up before you’re able to submerge yourself fully. Despite the chill, the sensation of being surrounded by water is a relief after the oppressive afternoon heat. You wade out further, keeping a mindful eye out for the reefs your uncle had mentioned, until the water comes up to your hips, then your chest, then your collarbones. You let the tension seep out of your shoulders as you float, buoyed gently by the waves. It’s the most peaceful you’ve been since your stay with your uncle began after he broke his leg; you don’t mind taking care of him while he heals, but you didn’t quite realise how much you needed a break until now.

The saltwater is like a balm; it takes some manoeuvring to actually get yourself up on the floaty, but once you’re settled and relaxed you think you could happily float on your back like this for hours, lost to the warmth of the sun on your skin and the waves rocking you back and forth. The fresh smell of the saltwater and the soft swaying of the floaty in the ocean waves lull you into a peaceful doze. 

Naturally, that’s when things start to go wrong.

         Life hadn’t been the kindest as of late… Heroes tried their hardest in trying to make people feel safe again but with a hero going missing every other day it was getting exceedingly difficult. No one knew where they went, there were no leads, no witnesses, no evidence. Nothing. Nothing but 24 open missing hero cases. 

Despite the chaos going around in the world there were positives. One of which came in the form of union. Never in the history of Japan had heroes come together in such a way. Not when the threat of stain loomed over them, nor when AFO’s protegee threatened to shake the foundations of the hero society. In fact agencies grew so close that there were new bonds created, new friendships and in your case a chance at love in the midst of the grey. 

You had been a former acquaintance of the Pro-Hero Bakugou Katsuki, having met him during your days in U.A. As a student in class 1b you weren’t close to him but you did get along with his friends. In specific a cheerful red-head who loved to tag along with you and your good friend Tetsutetsu. You remember chatting with the bright teen for hours. 

A nostalgic smile tugged at your lips as you thought of the man. But you were brought out of your reminiscing by the man who cradled your heart. His rough fingers caressed your cheek and like a tilting tower you leaned into the affection. The pressure of his plush lips pressing against yours eased the ache. It eased the ache for both of you. 

“Wanna go grab something to eat before we head home?” Bakugou asked.

it was a tiring and chaotic night.

you and iwaizumi had planned a sleepover, just for the two of you, but somehow, oikawa managed to persuade both you and your boyfriend to invite him over as well. iwaizumi obviously wasn’t too fond on letting him come over since it was supposed to be a date night, but he got over it eventually.

you had all managed to tire each other out and unfortunately calmed down pretty early. you were wedged in between iwaizumi and oikawa, much to iwaizumi’s dismay. 

iwaizumi kept his arms wrapped tightly around you as you all continued to watch the movie. iwaizumi knew that oikawa would never pull a move on you, he was better than that. but, iwaizumi couldn’t help but feel so protective of you.

you looked so… vulnerable.

you were slowly drifting off, your bed shirt riding up slightly as you shuffled around. iwaizumi’s breath hitched as soon as he felt you lean back into him slightly, your ass planted right on his crotch. you felt iwaizumi’s muscles tense around you, causing you to look over at him.

“hajime, are you ok?” you asked, the innocent look in your eyes making iwaizumi swallow harshly.

“uh, yeah,” he caught oikawa’s gaze, suspicion written clearly over his features. iwaizumi looked back down at you and smiled slightly, trying to distract himself from how good you looked in that moment. “just got a little cramp in my thigh, i’m all good though.”

you nodded and looked back over at the tv, dismissing the look between the two males. 

“got a little problem there iwa-chan?” oikawa raised an eyebrow at him before chuckling slightly, only making iwaizumi even more irritated.

“no,” his voice was slightly strained as you shifted around, even more, flexing your shoulder bones slightly before sighing slightly up at oikawa.

“can’t you be quiet for once, oikawa-chan?” you teased him playfully, sticking your tongue out at him. iwaizumi relaxed behind you, resting his head in the crook of your neck as he tried to calm himself down.

“your words wound me, y/n-chan!” he teased back, sticking his tongue out and dragging down his eyelid. you giggled and reached out a hand to shove him, your move faltering slightly as you felt iwaizumi’s breath tickle your neck.

you bit your lip and shoved oikawa, quickly regaining your composure. you felt iwaizumi pull back as oikawa shoved your shoulder slightly, a teasing smile stretched across oikawa’s face.

“aw, is poor little y/n-chan getting annoyed?”

iwaizumi could feel jealousy begin to boil in his stomach making him frown, the wiggling of your body doing nothing to make it easier for him to contain himself. it took everything in his right mind to stop himself from getting fully hard, trying to relax and distract himself from how good your body felt pressed against him.

you rolled your eyes at him before flipping oikawa off, making him giggle and turn back to the movie. your breath hitched slightly as soon as you felt iwaizumi press against you, something prodding against your ass.

Kirishima glances at him out of the corner of his eye as they step into Bakugou’s office, red eyes narrowing in concern as he sees Bakugou’s gritted teeth and clenched fists. “Are you sure you’re okay, bro?” he asks, a little hesitant.

“I’m fine,” Bakugou practically snarls between his teeth. Fuck. Kirishima holds his hands up in front of him, placating his huffy friend. “Okay, okay. I get it.” He backs off, still eyeing Bakugou warily as he pulls his phone from his pocket. He glances at the time. “Look, man, I gotta go. I have a date in twenty, and she’s gonna kill me if I’m late again.” His smile is apologetic, but exhausted.

“Whatever.” Bakugou tosses off one of his gauntlets, letting it clatter against the floor noisily. Breathing slowly through his nose, he peels off his mask as well, setting it down on his desk. It’s fine. Everything is fine. He can handle this. It’s just a really fucking annoying quirk that’ll probably go away on it’s own by the end of the day.

Another tingle stirs in his gut, and then his underwear tightens again.

It was a fantasy-themed story about knights, dragons, and witches, the main character a determined yet shy boy on a quest with his friends to find a mystical ruby red dragon by the name of Kirius the Armored to ask for his alliance. It was one hell of a good book though you were quite intrigued by how closely these characters resembled your classmates.

Your reading was interrupted by a gentle series of knocks on your door, and you called out from your comfy spot, “Who is it?”

“I-It’s um, Midoriya! C-can I come in?” The nervous, green-haired boy asks from behind the door and a bright smile lights up your entire face. It was no secret that you’d taken quite the liking to the boy and was never too shy to openly flirt with him just to see him blush and sputter.

“Oh, yes of course! Door’s open so come right in!” You answered back, and the door swings open, a giddy Midoriya sliding into your room.

“H-hey there, L/N! You uh, left your notebook in class and I just wanted to- OH MY GOSH!” Izuku suddenly squeaks, cheeks turning a bright scarlet red as his eyes settle on your bare naked form now sitting up and setting aside the book. He slaps a hand over his mouth, unable to tear his green eyes away no matter how flustered he was.
