A papercraft commission of Layton and Luke from the Professor Layton games, enjoying a some tea and a lovely view (and, evidently, some delightfully bouncy seat cushions) in their train compartment.

This one was a doozy! I’m not often commissioned for detailed backgrounds in my papercraft work, and when I am it’s often forests or other natural landscapes. So making the train interior let me try out a bunch of new stuff! Unexpectedly, the biggest challenge was actually the paneling on that back wall - I wanted the two different patterns to alternate in a specific way, but in the end the panels mostly got covered up by the furniture and figures. ;__; Oh well! The furniture and figures are the most important part, after all!
