Headcanon #25

Percy Jackson au 2

Bakudeku / Dekubaku

Katsuki loved his dad, but hated that he had to leave for weeks. The situation got worse when the man started dating an awful woman and got engaged really soon.

The very same day they met, the woman let him know as soon as they were alone that she would do anything she could to get rid of him, and her daughter was insanely annoying. Katsuki had secretly hoped that his father would end up marrying Inko so that he and Izuku could live together.

Izuku often talked about how he hated seeing his mom had to work two jobs just so she could pay rent and also the doctors consults to treat his ADHD. He once mentioned casually that if he were to run away, then maybe his mom could have a better life.

The two naive kids then had the idea that they could run away and live together. They planned to scape on the night after of Katsuki's birthday so they could use the money he would get from his dad.

Katsuki waited at the park where they agreed to meet with a backpack and a plan to live with Izuku on the other side of the country. He waited for hours, but Izuku never showed up.

He was ready to go back to his house when suddenly he was attacked by a minotaur and survived thanks to his good instincts and a weird boy with red hair and horns claiming that he was a satyr and could take him to camp half-blood. A place where he wouldn't have to worry about monsters and evil step mothers.

Headcanon #24

Bakudeku / Dekubaku

Percy Jackson au 1

I couldn't sleep last night thinking about this au.

Hear me out: demi gods Izuku and Katsuki who happen to be neighbors and play together all the time because their parents are often out.

Katsuki is son of either Ares or Athena, and was rised by his human dad Masaru. He was a nice father, very kind and loving, but he also had to travel a lot because of work and he soon found out that traveling around the world with a demigod child was way too dangerous, so he left him with nannies who would quit after a week because strange things always seem to happen around Katsuki.

Izuku is son of probably Zeus or Poseidon, and was rised by his human mother Inko. The woman had two jobs to pay rent in a nice building with high security to keep monsters away from his demi god son. She hated having to leave him alone, but after finding out that he could play with the neighbor's son (and the nanny of the month) who was his same age and was also left alone, she felt better.

The two boys were the best of friends until the day Katsuki turned six, when Inko realized that he was a demigod too. Keeping the two boys living in the same building was a time bomb. So she didn't think it twice before packing and disappearing with Izuku. He cried for days for not being able to be friends with Kacchan anymore, but Inko would do anything she could to keep the monsters away from his son.

Headcanon #23

Give me asexual Bakugou who is completely indifferent to a shirtless Todoroki or Yaomomo in a wet shirt, but then this random person does something romantic like giving him flowers or a love letter and he loses it completely.

They can walk naked in front of him and he won't care at all, but read him poetry and he would become a flustered mess.

Headcanon #22

Harry Potter au

I know Bakugou sounds like he should be on either Ravenclaw or Slithering, because he is both insanely smart and ambitious, but hear me out... He is actually in Hufflepuff.

At first just because I know that would annoy him and I live for that, but the more I think about it, the more it fits.

Just imagine that the sorting hat immediately sends him to Hufflepuff and everyone is confused, specially Bakugou, but really that would be the equivalent of his first day on UA and finding out that while he was good, he was not the only one with great potential. The worst part is that his childhood friend (Izuku), a squib that had no magic as a child, now has magic and was sorted into Griffindor, like the greatest wizard of all times, All Might, who happens to be his mentor now.

Then he gets kidnapped by the LoV who are basically the Death eaters and AFO as Voldemort, and they pretty much want him to join them, which he doesn't. Pretty much what happened in MHA canon, but make it magic.

After having a magic fight with Deku that almost gets them expelled, he decides to turn around. He understands that the best way to defeat the dark lord is by helping his childhood friend turned enemy turned friend (?). He also has to tutor his roomate Denki and his cute redhead friend from Griffindor, because he can't stand the idea of them failing. He also fights Monoma almost every single day because he keeps insulting his muggle-born friends and he won't take any of that.

That's how, slowly, everyone understands why he was in Hufflepuff.

So, some facts to consider:

-> Katsuki Bakugou sweats nitroglycerin from his palms

-> He sweats a lot of it, particularly when in combat/excising (see: the giant bracers he can fill on his arms).

-> Quirks often have negative side effects on their users, usually related to not being immune to some element of the quirk ex: being able to create fire but not being fireproof.

-> Nitroglycerin is used medicinally as a strong vasodilator (lowers blood pressure).

-> Nitroglycerin can lower blood pressure dangerously even at low dosages.

-> While people can build up some immunity to it over time, high exposure like Katsuki would have would still be dangerous. Unless his body had some sort of counter.

-> There’s lots of ways a body could raise blood pressure. One of them? Stress.

-> Stress (adrenaline and cortisol) can significantly raise blood pressure and do so fairly quickly.

My conclusion? Katsuki having No Chill Ever is actually his body’s way of keeping his blood pressure even. He’s constantly at 99/100 stress level for everything because of this. It’s why he does everything so intensely, he’s got near max levels of Adrenaline in him at all times.

Now whether or not this is canon or what canon intended is up in the air, but it’s now my personal canon. Ideal results of this:

-> Katsuki’s stress levels are discovered when he and his classmates/maybe teachers are exposed to a fear/panic quirk that shoots your adrenaline and cortisol through the roof. His classmates are sent into a panicked frenzy, running around and hiding. His teachers are either also panicked or just barely holding on to rational thought through many years of practice. Katsuki…. is just fine? Mostly he’s confused as to what the hell is wrong with everyone else. Whoever they’re fighting isn’t actually that tough without their quirk, so Katsuki takes ‘em down. Everyone is put through medical to determine what happened and why Katsuki wasn’t effected. They discover the quirk didn’t work because like, the quirk is made to take someone from 5-10% stress to a sudden 90-95%. Katsuki has a resting 96.7% or something. The extra 3.3% doesn’t change much.

-> They try to put him on anti-anxiety meds or something to help. He starts to calm down for the first time in his life which lasts all of 5 minutes before he passes out and almost fucking dies from the blood pressure drop.

-> “So you’re telling me being calm for once in my life literally almost fucking killed me?”

“Basically, yeah.”

“Hang on, I need to call my mom. I have an argument to win.”

Headcanon #21

Kiribaku (Sort of Tetsubaku)

Kirishima is the least jealous person in the world, except when Tetsutetsu is involved. For some reason, hearing how similar they are has him worried Bakugou would change him for a boy who is just like him, but taller.

Bakugou once had a mission that required him to work with Tetsutetsu, and Kirishima nearly lost it. He had to lock himself in their apartment so he wouldn't go spy on them. Once the mission was finished, the media was full of pictures of the two, making jokes about how good they were working together.

Kirishima then began to post dozens of pics with him and Bakugou daily with captions that made it obvious he was trying to state a claim.

Story Time + Bakugou HC

So I ran into my old best friend (no hard feelings we just moved to different schools and grew apart) and we were just talking for a bit, catching up, it was kind of awkward but not painfully so, yk? It was okay. Anyway. She was waiting on her brother to come pick her up and when he did I remembered. I had a huge crush on him when I was younger. No like. Embarrassingly huge. I could’ve sworn I was going to be his girlfriend for life.

It was ughhhh. I don’t even want to talk about it. He’s like 3 (?) years older than me, and I just thought he was hot and kinda cool (which,,,okay MAYBE I do still think that. Wtv. MOVING ON). So,,, when he came for her (we were at a little restaurant-ish place, both picking up our orders) he recognized me and was like ‘Oh, you’re still cute’ which??? HELLO???? I-…HELLO??!!!!!???????

Anyway. This led me to thinking about Bakugou (don’t ask, just accept it) and I’m here to say that Bakugou definitely has a crush on Natsuo. Like. The most adorable, childish, cutest, and (to him) frustrating crush ever. It’s an ‘oh no, my friend’s brother is hot’ situation and he would absolutely despair over it, except he CANT because he’s too busy having a stupid crush on a stupid pretty boy.

After he first goes over to the Todoroki’s, when he return to the dorms, he gets on Kirishima’s bed and screams into the redhead’s pillow. Kirishima, scrolling through his phone beside him, just pats his back twice, knowing that Bakugou is just being…Bakugou (see: unfailingly dramatic).

Then Bakugou sits up and aggressively squeezes Kirishima’s pillow, which, hey, Kirishima has to protest to, he can’t deal with his pillow being out of shape, it’s fluffiness needs to be maintained and maintained well.

Bakugou throws the pillow because can’t Kirishima see he’s in a crisis here???

He then drags his best friend down onto the bed and whisper screams that he has a crush on Todoroki. Kirishima spins around so fast Bakugou can hear his neck crack.

‘Like Todoroki Todoroki???’

And Bakugou waves his arm and goes ‘No, the older one’

Kirishima’s face wrinkles in disgust and slight, very slight, judgement. ‘Endeavor?’

Bakugou screams and punches him in the arm. ‘No you fucker, Natsuo,’ (if it were anyone else but Kirishima they would’ve either cooed or gagged at the way his voice went quiet and soft), ‘the older brother’

And yeah, my brain kind of stopped there but here. Have this.

Headcanon #20

It's time to face the truth, the reason why Eri dressed as Dynamight instead of Deku or Lemillion, is because Izuku just kept telling her about how amazing Kacchan is and he probably even showed her his notes about him. She just assumed he was the best/most popular hero.

Also, you can't tell me that Izuku didn't help her make the costume and that's why it's so accurate.
