i think a study should be done on how manhwa’s like to fuck themselves over. like lady chef royale’s first season wasn’t free of faults, but the unique artstyle had this somber feeling to it and there was a genuine weight to it’s character dynamics. the female lead actually points out the failings of her family and while their relationship is improving, it doesn’t feel fairytale fast. there’s no instant love or lust between her and the male lead either, just two people feeling a connection that could go somewhere but hasn’t yet. it wasn’t perfect by any means, but it seemed to be aware of its own strengths and weaknesses, and was willing to work around them. anyway season two comes, the artist changes and all of a sudden is a bright-colour, bad-trope fest, where the male lead is obsessive and possessive in contrast to his previously normal demeanour; any and all family issues are carted off because they’re protective now that she can cook good so the fact that the og!fl literally killed herself doesn’t matter i guess; and the previously semi-realistic fl is a perfect being who can do no wrong and the narrative bends itself backwards to make stupid problems for her that the men in her life end up solving instead. why would you do this.

i have noticed there are a lot of otherwise-inclusionists on here who are vehemently against pan- and other non-bi mspec labels. i’m not interested in directly involving myself in this discourse or breaking down why i disagree right now; but i do simply want to ask that “anti-mspecs” stop spreading the misinformation that “pansexual” as an identifier only came to be in the 2000s over the internet. i don’t think most of you are doing this intentionally, i understand you’ve been genuinely led to believe this. so i want to share this thorough collection of sources that date it back to the 70s, possibly 60s. obviously this is a pro-pan carrd and you’ll almost certainly disagree with the creator, but all of the info is cited and i urge you to check it out when you make your posts about the history of mspec labels, because revisionism and misinfo spreading is a big issue with online inter-community discourse.

The concept of people being transphobic to Wanderer Genshin Impact is really funny to me because I think he generally considers himself a man but if ppl are being weird and prying about his gender he just says he’s a puppet and this always pisses them off bc they’re like “what the hell does that mean you’re either a man or a woman and that’s that” So then Wanderer without a word casually grabs his head and abruptly twists it 180 degrees with a very deliberately uncomfortable inhuman metallic cracking noise that prompts everyone to start screaming at the top of their lungs
