GODS EATER BURST

Gods Eater is a 2010 action role-playing game for the PlayStation Portable, developed and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment in Japan. Gods Eater Burst is an enhanced re-release that expanded the story and introduced new game mechanics. Burst was the version that was localized and published by D3 Publisherin regions outside Japan; it was released in Japan on October 28, 2010, in North America on March 15, 2011, and in Europe on March 18, 2011. A sequel, God Eater 2, was released in Japan in November 2013. An anime television series based on the game, also called God Eater, was released by Ufotable in 2015.

A remaster of Gods Eater Burst for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita, titled God Eater Resurrection has been released on October 29, 2015 in Japan. It was released in Western territories in summer 2016 with North American and European divisions of Bandai Namco Entertainment publishing the game on PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and Microsoft Windows.

This is a game where a character can be a melee or a ranged fighter. The objective of the game is to finish each mission and kill all the monsters on the map. The items that can be used here are blades, guns and other utilities like bombs and item enhancements to have more damage to the enemies. This game can be played on PSP or PSP emulator. Some monsters are hard to kill because of their health span. It needs a long patience to beat this whole because it has a lot of number of levels.

Overall it was an entertaining game because the graphics and gameplay is good and the storyline was very exciting. This game has released an anime series version.

AVATAR THE LEGEND OF AANG: BURNING EARTH

Avatar: The Last Airbender – The Burning Earth (known as Avatar: The Legend of Aang – The Burning Earth in Europe) is a 2007 video game for Wii, Nintendo DS, Game Boy Advance, PlayStation 2, and Xbox 360 based on the animated television series Avatar: The Last Airbender. It was one of the last games released for the Game Boy Advance in North America and Europe.[6] The game was followed by a sequel, Avatar: The Last Airbender – Into the Inferno, around a year later.

The game is known for its easy Xbox 360 1000G Achievement score, which can quickly be unlocked in under five minutes

I played this game using my GBA emulator and the gameplay was just simple as a role playing  type of game.

These pictures are the sample of how you are about to play this game where there are two characters that you can use in every story. It is like a tag team adventure where you can create combination attacks to defeat the enemies in the map. 

The game was very simple as I said and its story was just followed according to the animated series of Avatar that has been commonly watched by people on television. 

It was an entertaining game and you also need critical thinking on solving the puzzles.

STICKMAN BASKETBALL 2017

Stickman Basketball 2017 is a ball game where the player plays a basketball match using stick figures. It has 30 different teams and you can play in different modes. Season mode, friendly mode, pro career mode and tutorial mode. 

The game play is very easy like playing a typical basketball game but has simple control moves like pass, sprint, steal, block, rebound, and shoot. It was an entertaining game for the players who are basketball enthusiasts. The other factor of this as an entertaining game was the dunk features that you can unlock and the player movements which make the player look awesome. 

Overall it was fun playing this and this game was the updated version of stickman basketball with more upgraded graphics and additional features.

CYTUS

Cytus is a rhythm game developed by Rayark Games, an independent game developer in Taiwan. It was first released on the iOSplatform on January 12, 2012. The game was later released on Android on August 7, 2012. A port for PlayStation Vita and PlayStation Mobile, titled Cytus: Lambda, was released on June 26, 2013. An arcade version titled Cytus: Omega in collaboration with Capcomis revealed at JAEPO in February 2015 and is set for location testing in July 2015. 

Since this is a rythm game, the circles that appear should be aligned in the line that appears in the screen. There were different genres of music you can listen with different beats like songs on anime and so on. 

This was fun playing this game and the graphics of the game, I can’t say anything about it and its game play was entertaining. Though the other musics seems to be very hard to play because the beat is fast and hard to follow because of difficulty.

Though this game was hard, it is still entertaining to play and a lot of players were playing this game because it was famous on Google Play and it has many downloads. 

Overall this is 100% perfect game for me.

LEAGUE OF STICKMAN

It is a hack and slash game where you can choose some heroes to use similar to the game League of Legends. There are skills to use to easily kill enemies. It provides good effects on skills for better entertainment. The weapons can be upgraded to make a lot of damage. There will be boss also at the end of each levels that is hard to beat and badly needs tactics to beat.

Overall this game was fun because the concept was similar to league of legends which is fun also so this game. The gameplay has thrills and challenge which makes it sure that it will be fun.

Farm Heroes Saga 

is a game, developed by King. Just like Candy Crush Saga and Bejeweled, it's a 3-match game, and it has cropsies obviously instead of candies or jewels. Collectable cropsies are just vegetables like carrots, onions and more! In-game you have the ability to Facebook Sync and battle your fellow competitors. There are versions for the two popular mobile platforms which have possibly sightly different rules. Unlike in Candy Crush you have more complex rules with various goals to accomplish. Cropsies often have bonuses attached to them which need to be considered when trying to be successful. If you don't use Facebook you will join a party of human players who will help you. This game is free but in-game features such as boosters are partially required to be paid. Dairy District is the first episode of Farm Heroes Saga and that in the game it introduces everything that you need to know, like examples of how to play and how to use the boosters. This episode is extremely easy and a tutorial episode, too. The game continues to introduce new features and they are always explained with examples.

When I played this game it was fun just like when I also played Candy Crush but the difference is their power ups and anything. There’s a boss battle that adds more fun to play the game.

MUSIC HERO

It is a music rythm game using your own playlist on your mobile phone. All you have to do is tap the different color set of circles for every beat while playing the music. The more precise your tap the higher the score you get. The game has two difficulties, the simple and standard. This game has more fun if you wear earphones while playing. So this game is only for additional fun if your having soundtrip. It’s like tapping your phone while listening to your music

It sounds fun when playing this if you really like to music while making it into the game. The game is simple, you will only tap the circles and thats it you can play this game very easy.

RIPTIDE GP2

Well this game  is the full-featured sequel to one of the most successful racing franchises on mobile. Featuring rocket-powered hydro jets racing around futuristic tracks across a dynamic and interactive water surface, Riptide GP2 delivers a fast, fun, and visually stunning racing experience.

All you have to do is race on opponents to earn money for buying new hydro jets and upgrading them. You can do some cool tricks here for more scores in the game. To earn more money you should always be at first place in every race you play.

It was one of my favorite racing games I played on my phone and a lot of people really likes playing this game.

Fire Emblem 

It is a tactical role-playing game developed by Intelligent Systems and published by Nintendo for the Game Boy Advance handheld video game console. It is the seventh entry in the Fire Emblem series, the second to be released for the platform after Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade, and the first to be localized for Western audiences. It was released in Japan and North America in 2003, and in Europe and Australia in 2004. 

This game has other versions or should I say the next versions of this game. This is the first edition of Fire Emblem released on Game Boy Advance and I use a GBA emulator to play this on my smartphone. 

The game is a prequel to The Binding Blade, set on the continent of Elibe. It tells the story of Lyn, Eliwood, and Hector, three young lords of the Lycian lineage who journey to find Eliwood's father and later thwart a larger conspiracy threatening the stability of Elibe. The gameplay, which draws from earlier Fire Emblem entries, features tactical combat between armies on a grid-based map. Characters are assigned different character classes that affect abilities and are subjected to permanent death if defeated in battle.

Overall I really enjoy this game a lot because you need to construct a best strategy as a tactician role in the game for your characters to survive and finish the game without dying even single teammate in the game because as it says on the description the character will not be resurrected if defeated in battle. The story line was interesting. Sometimes I was annoyed playing this game when I will be defeated and my character will be dead because the game was really hard as it progress to another chapters. But overall this game was fun and I will still play this and its other versions on GBA.

POKEMON: EMERALD VERSION

Let me introduce to you the game I was playing during vacation. There were many versions to play this pokemon game on gameboy advance or in your mobile phones by downloading MyBoy GBA emulator on Google Play. The objectives of this game is to become the league champion, catch pokemons using different kinds of pokeballs, train your pokemons, beat different co trainers encountered like gym leaders, elite four and the recent league champion. While playing this game, you have to talk to people included in this game, finish other quest and follow the story line of the game.  I can’t mention all the resources of this game because it was so many but you can get items here by getting them on the open places, hidden places, or it will be given by the NPC’s included in this game. It was fun playing because all you have to do is catch pokemon to battle other trainers to gain experience. Another thing that makes me thrilled in this game is the difficulty of catching pokemons because it is not easy,you will to create your own tactics to catch pokemons like lessen their life to get weakened. Another thing is you can catch legendary pokemons who are a lot stronger than any other pokemons after you defeat the league champion. 

So overall, it was fun playing this game and you can download a lot of versions of this for another excitement and adventure in this game. This game was on of my favorite games that can be played on gameboy advance or on smartphones so I’m sure that a lot of players will enjoy playing this game especially me.

CUT THE ROPE II

For my another gamedewv entry let me introduce to you Cut The Rope II. The gameplay is just very simple, you will have to cut the rope where the candy is located. You have to feed Om Nom and he can’t reach the candy. Anpther goal in each level is you have to think on how to collect the three stars to improve your score other than feeding the candy to Om Nom. I already  played this when I was at my high school days and it was fun playing this because the game is just simple and you will have to use your mind to make a strategy to feed the candy to Om Nom and get the stars to gain a higher score.

Zenonia I

In my taste preference for this week I’d like to play an offline rpg mobile game. Zenonia is a hack and slash and slice and dice game. In this game you can choose from three characters, swordsman, assasin and mage. Each of this characters have different skills and abilities. After you choose there will be a storyline followed like your main goal is to make your character strong and fight the evil forces and defeat all the boss especially the final boss to finish the game and story. There were also resources provided in this game like items to be worn and weapons. Potions to carry to heal your life and mana. 

When I played this it was fun and every level it is getting hard to kill the monsters. This game has many editions and this was the first. This game has Zenonia 2 and so on until Zenonia S where this game is played online already. 

Overall the objective was basic and this is very fun to be played of on your smartphones. If youre not contented after playing this game you can download their next versions for another set of storyline :D

Chess

So for my next entry is about not card games anymore but boards games already. We were given a chance to play at least four to five board games and what I have played are chess, snake and ladders, monopoly, dama and wheel of fortune. I will identify the elements of a game and I will choose the game Chess first. 

Players: There will be only two players required to play this game who has a knowledge to play this game with sharp thinking skills and strategies to win the game.

Objectives: Objective of the game chess is to  is to checkmate your opponent's King. When a King cannot avoid capture then it is checkmated and the game is immediately over. The game is drawn when the player to move has no legal move and his king is not in check.

Procedure: Each chess piece has its own moves. Chess is a game, played by two players. One player plays with the white pieces, and the other player plays with the black pieces. Each player has sixteen pieces in the beginning of the game: one king, one queen, two rooks, two bishops, two knights, and eight pawns.

Rules: The rules of this game is just follow the moves of each chess piece to keep the flow of the game. 

Conflict: The conflict playing this is when the chess piece is not complete in the game, therefore you cannot play this game.

Boundaries: Boundaries of this game is just no cheating throughout the game and follow the rules in playing this game.

Outcome: Potential outcome of this games is this is a warm up for our brains to exercise critical thinking of strategies on how to win and finish the game.

Challenge: The challenge of this game is you can’t easily win in the game if you move recklessly your chess pieces.

Chess is a fun and exciting game where you will badly need to use your brain to win the game and use better strategies than your opponent

Slap JAM

We have given a chance to play three common card games that we knew and then after that our professor gave us an activity to create our own card game.

Slap JAM card game is only a revised game came from the concept of Slapjack. In slapjack, when the card you discard is a jack, players will slap it, last player to slap loses and the cards discarded will be given to the lost player. In playing Slap JAM we made a twist in this game, you will not slap the jack but you will slap the number said that is higher or lower than the discarded number card.

When I played this game, it was exciting and interesting yet confusing because it is not the number exactly you will slap. When I’m playing this I always laugh, even my playmates too. It was fun playing this game even the other group who tried to play our own game. This game needs quick thinking, mental alertness and loud laugh. Just kidding, this game is for fun only and for the bonding of friends or relatives.

The other groups enjoyed playing this game and evaluated it on a perfect score. Their comments and suggestions about our game will serve as a guide to improve our game or create another good game concept on cards.

Overall this activity gave us a lot of lesson and it gives additional knowledge to widen our thinking about creating games and this will have a purpose on a lot of gamers or card game enthusiasts.

God of War: Ghost of Sparta

We have our subject Game Development that teaches us about how to create a game starting with creating different game concepts to entertain and satisfy people or players. We are given an activity to play a certain game and give reactions about the gameplay. Each group is composed of two to three members. While playing this game, we should also observe if the other one is playing the game. This will gather the feedback of the player about the game after finishing it.

The game that we choose is the God of War: Ghost of Sparta. It is a is a third person action-adventure video game developed by Ready at Dawn and Santa Monica Studio, and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. You will control the character Kratos in this game until the end. It is one of the series of God of War released game for Playstation Portable. We played this game by using PSP emulator. It is a software that allows the PSP game to be played at PC. The aim of this game is to finish the game and defeat all the enemies especially the bosses. It has a flow story about Greek Mythology so this game can’t be finished in one day. You can save the game if you don’t want to play anymore and can be continued if you want to play again.

When I played the game, I was so excited on what adventure will come on it as I play because I also love playing games that has a storyline. The game was challenging because you have to kill all enemies, surpass the obstacles, obtain more great power and kill the boss. I’m so serious playing this game because you need strategy and critical thinking to defeat and surpass all enemies.

After I played the game, It’s now my groupmates turn Michael Joe Almadin. While he was playing, he was sometimes confused on obstacles encountered and cannot proceed to the next anymore, so he asked for help on me and give the hint on what to do to proceed on the next way. He was challenged on playing this game because it is an adventure type of gameplay.

Next is my other groupmate Jefferson Malayo. I already expected that Jeff can play this game smoothly because he is also a gamer who knows how to finish this type of game so that’s all I observed. He enjoys the game and likes it. It was also the same reaction as mine when we played this game.

It was fun playing this game because I’ve learned a lesson too. I also love to read about greek mythology stories so I enjoyed this game and its storyline. Enjoying the gameplay fighting monsters and different bosses was I enjoyed the most in this game. When I finished the game I was urged to play the next series of this game.
