We get tired of running the circus for y'all. This was never about money, ego, or career. It was about trying to make Brownsville a place creatives stop moving away from. As far as passion projects are concerned, this was a huge success in terms of how much people agree that what we do is vital for the city. But alas...the late Richard Adams put it best when he wrote: "Animals don't behave like men,' he said. 'If they have to fight, they fight; and if they have to kill they kill. But they don't sit down and set their wits to work to devise ways of spoiling other creatures' lives and hurting them. They have dignity and animality." Brownsville remains Brownsville. We have had our troubles and philosophical impasses...and that's that. It's hard facing failure, but it's important to fail. We can't learn without these lessons. On the flipside, we personally enjoy hearing your success stories and are flattered to have influenced so many divergent paths. We've gained many friends, but lost some too...and that's normal in life. Art is a reflection of the world we live in and can be a reaction to it. It's a shame that someone painted over this amazing piece of history. It appears that some people are not comfortable discussing the important roles that entertainment, marketing and the cult of personality can have on the country. #Repost @digitalboy ・・・ The place where it all began... @bam78520 For those of you who do know, BAM was where I was given my first chance as a performer almost two years ago! Since then, I have had many opportunities to showcase what I am able to represent in the drag community down here in the valley. This amazing place has been the home and birthplace to many talented and unique artists ranging from drag queens, experimental artists, rap geniuses, gallery painters, fashion shows and so much more. They have succeeded their attempts at breaking the stigma of what can be considered art here in the lower parts of Texas. Now, I'm heartbroken to say that their current location in Historic Downtown Brownsville Tx will be shutting down for good. I'm sure its not the last we will be hearing from BAM or CVNTS but for now this will be the last show with my fabulous sisters at this wonderful location. It's going to be such a bittersweet night but I know that it will be amazing because CVNTS and UNIPORN always put on a good show. Hope to see you there. Rudie and Porkchop; Siblings to one another and my dearest friends.  They comforted me this summer after my daughter’s stillbirth and their loss was so quick and unexpected, as was everything that happened this year.  Rest in peace, my faithful pups. Thank you for your time spent here.

Yooo, this is legit! #streetart #brownsvilletx Rock the Block 3, a day long street art/hip hop festival that features local and international graffiti writers, street artists as well as b –boys, rappers, MC’s, and, lyricists. The festival will host a live painting main event and will feature live Graffiti and street art at the Treviño Building behind Sam’s Stadium at 300 W Elizabeth St, Brownsville, TX 78520 on December 10th. The block will be filled with artists and feature B Boy/Girl battles. Music by DJ Yoda and DJ Tech.
