Well- ...Well! [ azadeh scoffs. in fact, she's so incredulous that she scoffs again. the way she looks at nana, you would think the other woman just killed azadeh's firstborn and then spat at her feet! ]
You know, I have a hard time believing that. You mean to tell me you read one of the magnificent works of my poet- regardless of what my neighbor to the east tells you- Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Rumi and didn't weep? Not a single tear? Are you really so heartless?
[she huffs, folding her arms and pouting in a gesture that almost perfectly mirrors nana's.] I just do not believe you.
@banamaak liked for a starter !! (it’s been so long i am so sorry)
[ nana's lip... curls. she crosses her arms in a way that is rather petulant for a forty year old woman! ] I'll say something. Your poetry--I don't even think it's very good. There, I've said it. [ her eyebrows raise. ] Perhaps nobody ever even wept over it. Perhaps they just told you that. [ her fingers dance over the inside of her arm as she says it. that might tell you nana is lying! ]

what's azadeh's relationship with England like?
Hm. [she inhales.] It's a bit... difficult to put into words really. I'm certainly not his biggest fan, if that's what you're asking. His little venture around my homeland in 1953 might not be much more than a tiny blip on his radar to him, but it was much more than that for me. I mean, it changed everything!
[ she sighs and folds her arms, clearly very disgruntled!]
I suppose I should have more anger towards him. And make no mistake, I certainly used to! I had enough rage in my body to move mountains! But... he's a decrepit old man now, and a bit pathetic, if you'd like me to be honest. And there are others who create much bigger problems for me to deal with. So, I think it's not that I've suddenly had a change of heart- I simply no longer feel as compelled to expend my energy on him. With that said, don't assume that means I am above a little lighthearted teasing! He makes it far too easy to get a rise out of him.
