By the way, sorry if it may be an odd question but how did you learn to draw poses and anatomy? You're my favorite artist and I really hope to be as good as you someday so I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask. You don't have to answer though, I'm just wondering

To your question, my only answer is practice😅 I mean, I'm a self-taught artist. I didn't attend any art schools to learn all the basics academically, so to speak. So learning from references was my way to improve. And loooots of drawing. Don't be afraid to use references btw. From them, you can understand how our body works, the same anatomy. Also, your visual library can help you to improve. What I mean by that is you can study other artists' artworks to try to understand how they draw and what techniques they use. I did that too, analyzing some of my favorite artists and trying to use their methods. Redrawing scenes from films can help as well (in learning composition for example).

Also I usually 'warm up' before I start drawing anything. It's just quick sketches of different poses or emotions.

Sometimes I take, let's say, a random basic reference pose (e.g. crossed legs sitting pose like here) and then try to change it slightly depending on the character or their mood. Just a fun little exercise but it can help to get better at expressiveness too.

In conclusion, practice really makes perfect XD

For Sindy, and probably every other resident of New Orleans, it seems as though being the witness of a murder, or better yet– the victim of an attempted murder, is on a daily basis & to be expected. Just a normal Friday night at work, nothing serious! Girly was just feeling a little silly that evening! Mimzy and her cunty Radio Host of a bestie MIGHT be the killer, or rather one of the killers going 'round town, slaughtering people, but who hasn't thought about it, OR done it already?

Assuming Alastor's family was from Louisiana, it wouldn't have even been legal for his parents to cohabitate much less get married. They must have had very strong feelings and been in an area where they were able to get away with it. 🤔

Yep, and they definitely faced lot's of problems after their decision. But there were couples like that in history, so even then if you really wanted to you could say "fuck the system" ( I found a very nice article with the photos of those couples; ✨ link ✨).

Why did Alastors mom marry such a horrible man? Did she know he was a douchebag from the beginning or was he nice when they met?

I don't think you'd want to get "outcast" status, to say the least, if you didn't love that person. They were an interracial couple in the 1900s, I think there was room for some strong feelings, at least in the beginning. On both sides.

your version of Alastor's dad has the vibe of a desperate, washed up musician with a drinking problem and terrible temper. I can easily see him making Alastor's life hell while also being excited/jealous that his son turns out to be a talented piano player. What if HE taught it to Alastor? And it's one of the very few nice memories he has of what was a petty tyrant loser of a man...

Yeeeeeeessss, so happy that this vibe is visible in my sketches. Because I thought about from whom Alastor got his artistic tendencies, you know, and I thought maybe his father was an artistic type. And sure, there was a nice moments, he wasn't a monster, just a moron. It's not like Al's father hated his kids or wife. He hated life. And it's very hard to see nice things and create them around you when you disappointed in life itself. Hopefully, it makes sense what I'm saying here 😅

Like "Oh, you want to learn how to play piano? Let's get you that piano, my gifted child". And the next time "you're an ungrateful child! I bought you that piano and you don't even play it! If you practice more you won't do those stupid mistakes!" *Bang his fist on the table*.

He's not gonna hit his kids or wife, no (furniture will be victim of that rage). It's his words, the way he delivers information, so to say, that hurt.

I love the idea of murder besties, but consider: Alastor tricking Mimzy into thinking that everyone he killed was a threat to her after she discovers him murdering someone, thus developing her overly dependent nature with him because she refuses to accept he lied to her. Also why she doesn't fear him! (The angst is so PALPABLE)

In my version of them, maybe she is afraid of him, but better to have the person you're afraid of on your side than be against them. Like "Well, he's a serial killer, but still he didn't kill me. Better keep him close to me and avoid making him upset. Who knows how long I will be on his good side".

In episode 5 it looks for me like Alastor was very much aware why Mimzy came to the hotel, but still he was happy to see her and let her true intentions slide at least before the hotel was attacked. And, most likely, he let that happen many times when he and Mimzy were alive. Alastor and his mysterious moral code~ Mimzy is a simple sinner, you know, he can't gain anything from her like from Rosie for example. A powerful Overlord. But still he didn't kill her even after their fight in ep 5, so that means something (and I'm sure he had many chances to kill her when they were alive too).

I don't mind, but Tw: self harm mention.

Some he got from his victims (someone particularly strong could be quite capable of fighting back), some he got by accident, some are from his childhood, some did to himself (that based on the final episode, when he was in the middle of a song breakdown; my man pulled out a chunk of his hair, so he definitely has some unhealthy coping mechanisms).
