Do you think Alastor can braid hair? Like super good hairstyles and stuff? I had this headcanon about him before i found your work and i think, considering the fact he has three sisters in ur au and Mimzy as bestfriend he would be amazing at it. Just wanted to know what you think🎀

Oh for sure, at least in my au. Growing up with sisters made him learn a thing or two. And even in his adulthood he's still styling his own hair. All of that curly explosion on his head to look more presentable, for his liking at least.

Does your OC Sindy have a demon form? Would she want to hang out with Alastor and Mimzy in Hell?

I drew her demon form a while ago here , but I didn't really give it too much thought since I'm not great at creating creature like characters. She's my "raccoon" girl so I drew her as one basically XD

I don't think she would like to cross paths with them again(especially with Al since all the Radio Demon and stuff and Mimzy attract too much trouble even in the best of times; Sindy has some self-preservation after all). And she had enough of them when they were all alive 🤣

hi banana!! i lovee your art and story-telling, and I'm so curious to learn more about Alastor's youngest sister, Bertilda. what's her personality like? what's her story after she leaves with Leonore, and how would you describe her relationship w/ Alastor in her older years (teen-young adult)?

Hi! Thank you so much�� (it's gonna be a long post with some sensitive topics, so be careful)

Bertilda was a quiet and nervous kid. She got her dad's personality, in a way.

Their mother died when she was 6. Their dad was found dead 5 years later. She was 11. One tragedy after another left its mark on her. Especially as the youngest, she struggled to comprehend the underlying causes of their father's breakdowns, for example. Everyone was leaving. First their mother, then their oldest sister (who promised that she would return for them as soon as she found a well-paying job, but that never happened). Then Alastor began to leave home more often, disappearing to work part-time jobs, and Bertilda and Leo were left alone with their father, whose condition had deteriorated significantly after his wife's death.

Thoughts of leaving crossed older kids' minds more often. In the end, Alastor was able to place his younger sisters as apprentices of a kind lady who was a seamstress in the neighborhood. Bertilda didn't understand that choice. She didn't understand why they would leave their poor father all alone. He never left their ill mother, staying near her bed till the end, so why do they need to leave when he's not feeling well? She didn't like that lady, who was trying really hard to make them like her. Especially, she didn't like when that lady told her and Leo that they could call her 'mama'. Alastor tried to explain to the little girl the reason behind the decision to leave, but Bertilda couldn't grasp the idea. All she could think of was that they left their father behind. All alone. In an empty house. And again, 5 years later, they found out about their father's death from their close neighbour. The picture of a lifeless body of their father hanging from the ceiling stayed in Bertilda's mind till the end.

Some time later, Leonore found herself a suitor. They got married and had their first child. Bertilda continued to live with her sister and her family. She was 15 or 16 at the time. She worked part-time at a small café not far from home. Despite the lively household and regular contact with her brother, Bertilda couldn't shake the feeling of abandonment (and she was still hurt and even angry at her siblings for their decision to leave). She often stayed late after work and simply wandered through the streets. Problems with substances began as the tension between her and Leonore. Alastor began to write less and less.

After some time, Leo's husband found Bertilda a possible suitor. At first, everything was going well. She liked the guy, and he seemed to like her too. Her newfound love, if you can call it that, even motivated her to get out of her drug addiction. At 19 she got married and moved into a small house with her husband. But after just a couple of months of married life, problems began. Frequent arguments, shouting, and broken dishes. Feelings of guilt, abandonment, and hurt came to the surface again. Bad habits returned. Despite all this, her husband refused to agree to an official divorce because he didn't want to be judged by society. Bertilda returned to live with Leo and her family. She wasn't getting any better. She no longer understood why she was here. Alastor had stopped writing to Leo for at least a year, as it turned out, and her letters seemed to be failing to reach their intended recipient. The situation was exacerbated by a newspaper report where the girls recognised their brother as a serial killer. The young woman couldn't take it anymore and hanged herself.

Probably not. I mean if I have an idea and the energy for that then maybe, but I wasn't planning to do their human designs.

It’s weirdly nice to know that Mimzy is there for Alastor when his mind betrays him. Even if she has no clue what she’s doing lol

She's trying ok🤧. And yes, she has no clue what to do but this fella helped her hide two bodies and didn't turn her in to the police for some mysterious reason. Just to be somewhere near when he's feeling not great to put it mildly (and when he suddenly showed up after disappearing for a few months) and call him an idiot that's the least she can do.

Summary: Adelice has now joined Hell's ranks, and she doesn't take it well. Good thing her brother is there to help her adjust.

Adelice belongs to the amazing @bananadramaaa and this story is essentially a character study of Alastor and his sister interacting. I love writing for Adelice, tbh. Side note: I did end up changing a little bit of her backstory (cause of death and sibling death order) but the rest is my attempt to stay true to the artist's intentions.

They sat there for a long time. How long, she didn't know. He didn't do anything except shift into a seated position. His long legs folded under him easily as he scooted to brush shoulders with her. It felt familiar, somehow. Safe.

    She heard something after a while. At first it was a crackle, a softer sound than anything she'd yet heard. It lightly popped and snapped, finally settling into...

    ...jazz.

    Not just any jazz, either. It was jazz from the heart of New Orleans, played by little bands on the streets all day, uncaring for popularity and money. They played to exist, to become the soul of their beloved town.

    She snapped her head up to the man again. He still smiled at her, eyes shining but sad.

    The jazz shifted roughly, like someone was turning the knob on a radio. Instead of light-hearted numbers that made the heart grow legs and dance the night away, the song playing in her head had become a lullaby. An old classical tune that technically had no words. Didn't stop her mother from making them up, nor did it deter her or her brother from singing it whenever the other sibling was upset.

Im kinda curious on your human Alastor's way of killing, Vivziepop has said in the past he had strange mixed morals and ways of seeing the world and was picky on how he chose his targets/ did not go for just anyone at random also that he was more reluctant to kill women when alive [tbh last part was probably the whole "of fairer means" being old fashion about laying hands on women himself or pittying them since they got the short end of the stick in society during those times, I think he'd know they are capable of being just as scummy], would you say your Alastor follows those greyish moral ways of doing things given his background or is he more of "anyone is fair game for no reason" attitude like some choose to depict him as these days?

It kinda depends?.. He is in that greyish area with his specific moral compass at hand. He also definitely has some triggers that could lead to that intrusive thought that today is "the hunt day" even when he wasn't planning anything specifically. I wouldn't say that he is particularly the "anyone is fair game for no reason" type in my au but if happens that some lady got in the way like, for example, the unrequired witness then oh well... anything could happen.

Yep. Mostly verbally/emotionally, physically to the furniture if he had a Bad Time at home. He was mentally unstable, afraid of the world around him, and to make it more bearable he started to use substances, sometimes alcohol (even before he met his wife). You can imagine what that could do to the not most strongest nerves.

Because he was unstable/unpredictable, you never knew when or what would throw him off balance. He loved his wife and kids; he didn't want to raise his hand on them. He often "disappeared", because he was making amends for the world's injustice to him somewhere else. If seizures occurred at home family tried to stay out of harm's way. Not heard, not seen. But it usually didn't work. He would apologize after, cry on his knees in front of his children and wife, and say how guilty he felt and how he didn't want to take it out on them, but nothing much would change.

Bananaaa, in your stories, did Alastor really practice Voodoo at that time? If so, for what, or who?

Not in my AU, no. I don't really see the reason for him to practice it, to be honest. I mean, maybe he had that bottle tree in his yard when he was a kid to catch those evil spirits because his mother or other people in their neighborhood told different tales about some supernatural entities of the Bayou (or he and his siblings were telling each other for the spooks' sake). Maybe he had a neighbor who practiced it. Anyway, Alastor found his way in life without it, at least in my AU.
