I know I haven't posted on here in quite some time and I'm sure I don't even have any followers anymore. But sadly Bacon's cancer came back and we said goodbye to him on July 3, 2022.

The last 3+ years Waffles has been battling Degenerative Myelopathy and we just had to say goodbye to him on July 21, 2024.

The Breakfast Boys are no longer with me and they have left such a giant hole in my heart. They meant the world to me and were with me through so much, it doesn't feel right that they are gone.

The one comfort I have is knowing neither of them are suffering any longer and they have been reunited and will be waiting for me at the rainbow bridge ❤️

I haven't posted in quite some time. The past few months Bacon has been very slowly feeling worse and worse. Thought it was maybe valley fever but after bloodwork was negative and meds didn't help, we discovered a mass on his jejunum. Thankfully I work in a specialty center so I was able to get an abdominal ultrasound for him the same day and then into surgery and then to the ICU for care. He was doing better but then 4 days after surgery her went septic and required a second surgery. Biopsy came back as a cancerous mass. He is finally doing well about 2 weeks after his second surgery and is back to eating and playing normally. We have an oncology appointment on the 16th to see if he needs any further treatment. These have been some of the hardest weeks of my life. I really thought I was going to lose him. He literally just turned 7 just 2 weeks ago. He's too young to be going through this. I've never cried so much in my life. I am so grateful he's doing better and I just keep praying that it's gone for good and won't come back.

These are the solutions we need to policing right now. Remember: the problem cannot be solved by technocratic solutions (i.e. body cams, further trainings, etc.) The problem is policing itself.
