Out of Context D&D Quote Starters:
Source
“EXCUSE YOU, I AM A HOT FAIRY.”
“I’ll kick a tree’s ass.”
“You should seduce the boat!”
“I killed a man today. In space. On a dragon. With a shovel.”
“Can I have flaming pistols?”
“No, you may not make a human centipede out of your army of 50 children.”
“Can I pay them money not to come near me?”
“I’m pretty sure fish don’t accept money.”
“I don’t know what we need to bleed on.”
“Let’s bleed on everything, just to be safe.”
“I’m going to go out on a limb and say we’re not going to solve this problem by bleeding on it.”
“Your ass is not a weapon you are proficient with.”
“That is the only dwarf ass I’m going to draw for you today.”
“Oh shit, I forgot the princess.”
“Did you just pull a gun out of your hair?”
“Who just carries spiders around in their pockets?!”
“He fought like he lived… Full of spears.”
“Ok, so there’s a lot of teeth in this water.”
“I’m not sure how to split a throne evenly. We all have a sitting schedule?”
“How many noses are going into this chicken?”
“We just turned a ritualistic orphan sacrifice chamber into a nightclub.”
“You started a cult!?”
“We need to give this guy a proper burial. After we loot his body. And take his teeth.”
“Yeah, he’s a ghost now. But I can punch ghosts, so it’s fine.”
“Have you ever seen a dragon choke on one hundred and thirty five orphans? Because you’re about to.”
“I can be responsible for my own severed leg, thank you.”
“Look, if I’m going to be a part of this Badger Cult, I expect career options!”
“I can’t believe you just pre-battle blazed it.”
“You lose the moral high ground after the second murder.”
“I am literally dying for your sins right now! Do not fuck this up for me!”
“Summon the monkeys! They will be relevant!”
“What happens if you die in Hell?” “Double Hell.”
“Long term goal: we put your corpse on the airship.”
“Does it still count as ‘evil’ if I feel really bad about it?”
“Everyone is ambidextrous until proven otherwise.”
“You blew up the sun!”
“Hold my record player, I’m going in.”
“I have never tried to stab you in a combat situation!”
“Want to use my knife? It’s only been used for our own ritual blood-letting.”
“I’m not sure we can even beat a log right now. We must negotiate with it.”

“Flustered” was not a word that normally described Salem. But then again, neither is “darling”, and look at me now, Salem thought to herself. She wheeled on Neo, barely thinking fast enough to keep up with her mouth.
“Now, I don’t know what kind of relationship you had with your former partner, but I can assure you, I am not your darling, or your sweetie, or your baby, or your... uhh... Look, I’m most certainly not, ok?”
What did you just call me? [based-salem]
Send me “What did you just call me?” and I will generate a number from 1-40 for what my muse will have called yours.
Well if anything was going to get her in trouble, it was going    to be the fact she… just accidentally called Salem, “Darling”.    She didn’t know why she did it either, perhaps she spaced out?    She was genuinely afraid she was going to get in trouble for this.    “ Uh… “

Considering her options silently, Salem took out a Scroll from within the folds of her clothes. With an almost amused expression on her face, she tapped out some coordinates into a text-based file and waved the device in Neo’s direction. A few seconds later, a muffled sound indicated that Neo’s own Scroll had accepted the file transfer.
“Should you still wish to join me, then meet me at these coordinates at midday tomorrow. It would be best for you to be disguised, although if reports are true you surpass even I at that.” Salem almost chuckled. Almost.
The coordinates led to a rather upper-class restaurant, but that was merely a front. Below the restaurantwas an auxiliary base that Salem and the less Grimm members of her legion used to execute operations in Vale. Even so, the restaurant itself was very good at simply being a restaurant. Even Salem enjoyed some of its dishes when she felt the urge to indulge herself. In disguise, of course.
“We will discuss your first assignment after a meal. Until then,” she turned and walked away. Of course, the first assignment would come during the meal; several combat-trained individuals would be posted throughout the restaurant, and would engage Neo in a brawl as soon as Salem gave the signal.
I’ll see exactly what you’re capable of, Salem thought to herself. For the first time in a while, she genuinely smiled.
Hesitation. A grin. A predator plotting her move. The barest hint of caution, just enough to make sure that she would survive the encounter.
The kill strike.
Salem could almost taste Neo’s train of thought as she observed the assassin wordlessly. Clearly the other had been taking fencing lessons for quite a while, judging by the precision of the lunge.
Riposte, riposte! Reverse and rend her asunder!
Salem took no note of the bloodlust that murmured at the back of her mind; she knew damn well that she could kill the assassin within the space of a human’s breath, but there wasn’t any need to. The needlepoint raced towards her heart as Salem’s skin rapidly darkened to black and her eyes shone ruby-red, the sounds of gales whipping around the deserted street even while the air curiously remained deathly still. As quickly as it began its bloody race, the parasol stopped, its tip barely resting against Salem’s covered breast, still pointed at her heart. As her skin returned to its milky pallor, a single drop of a faintly lavender-coloured liquid ran down the parasol’s blade; Salem’s tainted blood. Her eyes widened a mere fraction of an inch; a sign of utmost fear, quickly dispelled.
This young woman was truly incredibly strong.
Fortunately, Salem was still stronger. Her limitless Aura is a passive defense; she hadn’t even used her Semblance, or her weapon. Not that she ever needed to use her weapon.
Salem brushed the parasol aside, and looked back at Neo. Giving no sign that she had been pricked or scared, she spoke.
“I concede to your prowess with a blade. You’ve passed this… examination.” Salem’s mind was furiously mulling over possibilities; this girl couldn’t be wasted as a mere scout. She needed to be used with pinpoint accuracy against the deadliest targets.
And should she fail? One less threat.

“Killed, was he? Wonderful, that means I don’t have to do it.”
Salem pressed her hands together and closed her eyes, thinking. The small woman in front of her, by all accounts, was a deadly assassin, and a brutal killer. However, some accounts speak of her only weakness; her fear. Fear was both a powerful motivator and a powerful deterrent, and its effects are balanced on a knife’s edge. A practical examination was in order. Salem opened her eyes again, staring directly into the other’s.
“People speak in fear and even reverence of your lethality, young Neopolitan. As a measure of your skills, you may attempt to perform a lethal strike against any target you see around us. I need to see your skills for myself.” Even though she had made decisively sure that she and Neo were the only two around, Salem was not concerned about her own mortality; her Aura was powerful enough to stop a lethal strike mere millimeters from her pallid skin. Even if the assassin quaked before her and sought another target, it would be a useful gauge of her skills either way.

“On whether you wanted blue or white balloons for your birthday party,” Salem remarked dryly, her patience scarcer than colour in her skin. She’d expected a response to her ultimatum by now, and she had taken matters into her own hands when the response hadn’t come; nor had the one who would be bearing the response.
“You have been observed for a while now, and recently were given the choice by a messenger of mine; you can either join my cause and be granted a new purpose in life, or continue to look for that torrid, redheaded bag of lies by yourself.”
Salem paused, considering the possibilities. “Unless you never got my messenger, or you did and you struck them down without hearing what they had to say? How disgustingly human of me to blindly assume that all went to plan…”
