THE LAST UNICORN! My painting THE LAST KITTYLAND is inspired by the film’s Mommy Fortuna’s Midnight Carnival fanciful creatures mixed with my own childhood memory growing up in the Fairfax District in LA, going to the long gone Beverly Park/Pony Rides, an amusement park that inspired Disneyland. Here I blur dream & nightmare from the film with my childhood, blending my own yellow & blue plush bunny from childhood taking a ride on the Last Unicorn, with my cat Bosko leading the way, adding Toby as Schmendrick, and Molly Grue as a WildGirl.
