Basically we are screwed for the Euros because tell me why only 1 out of the 3 keepers have international experience. And if Hannah gets injured a gk will be debuting that the Euros.
But oh well it is what it is atp.
We are genuinely gonna have to pray Hannah stays fit in the run up and through out the competition. Sure the other keepers may be good, but they need experience, and i just don’t know if Sarina will give any of them their debut in these next few games
But Mary is a huge miss, with her and Hannah as our GK’s we would’ve been set

But circumstances could have changed with Mary that require her to retire internationally. I mean look at Corsie's announcement today citing chronic pain ending it for her. Nobody saw that coming as far as I know. I'm not saying Mary is suffering like that but I am saying things change. She's not screwed over the team, Sarina has. Nations league was the perfect opportunity to give Hannah or Khiara more time. Mary is going to be a massive massive loss, Hannah will get the gloves for the tournament and I am interested to see how she does in the group. Tournament just got way more interesting as a neutral
Sure yes this could be the case, but if she had even the smallest thoughts of retiring and she knew a major tournament was coming up where England are the defending champions (bigger target on us) she should have put more thought into it sooner.
Yes I agree Sarina should have started on developing goalkeepers sooner, but khiara hasn’t had a good season, she has lots of potential but her decision making can be so shakey and I don’t see how our defence can be comfortable atm with her in the net, Anna Moore house can’t lie never seen her play so can’t comment, but being 30 without an international cap doesn’t fill me with confidence can’t lie.
I would rather us not be testing goalkeepers vs Spain, however much IDGAF about the nations league, it’s still Spain. so hopefully she just uses Portugal as an experimental game, or even Jamaica, this is just a mess
Glad it just got more fun for you, just got so much worse for me 🥲

Mary Earps retiring 5 WEEKS before the euros is insanity. England have 1 internationally experienced goalkeeper, who is world class but still extremely young and could have benefitted greatly from the guidance of Mary Earps.
Sarina has probably already drawn up her plans and this just blindsides her, retiring out of the blue when you’re such a KEY player, and still has so much to offer and help the team. God forbid an injury to Hannah Hampton before or during the euros and Englands whole tournament is hanging in the balance of 2 keepers who don’t have a single international cap.
If she was thinking about the team she would have made this decision in September so we could have started to develop other goalkeepers.

2 and a half seasons ago, Jordan carried Arsenal in the midfield as Captain whilst Kim Little was injured, and was promptly benched as soon as she was back fit. Every game passed and it looked more and more that her best years were behind her, she was doomed to be a bench player, Arsenal were never gonna give her regular minutes.
We watched her cry and clap after the match vs Zurich, and I knew that was the last time she would represent Arsenal on the pitch, and I was glad for it.
She signed for Aston Villa, she was reunited with familiar faces, she had a point to prove, but she only had one goal in mind; make the 2023 Womens World Cup England squad. In the squad vs Tottenham Hotspur she looked alive, in the match vs Manchester City, when she was subbed off, she breathed out a sigh of relief and hugged Carla Ward.
We've watched her change from an attacking midfielder to a defensive midfielder, treating the transition like it was nothing. She pulled the strings effortlessly, often commended for how well she holds it down in the midfield. A game so different from scoring and assisting, her new playing style you had to watch with your own eyes to appreciate.
68 appearances, 7 goals and 4 assists. Made the world cup squad, gathered the most WSL appearances of all time, successfully revived her career. Aston Villa was a difficult team to watch at times, but Jordan carved out a place for herself in that midfield. Carla Ward took her under her wing and gave her that confidence back and brought her back to the player we know she can be, and I will always be thankful.
Wherever she goes next, I know she'll pick the right club for her, and I'm excited to see what she does next, cya Villa

Crazy! Jordan ran so fast and scored that goal beautifully. Calm finish! She scored her first this season vs her home🥹

Happy to see jord and Hanson back to starting and no baijings and they play real football today, at least making Arsenal not easy to play.
If they make it to half time without conceding it’s a win

It physically hurts me to see that Jordan can’t sprint anymore, Pre ACL Jordan gets to the ball first every single time, hell even 2021 Jordan

I’m getting more and more concerned that she’s leaving because shes getting iced out and not getting iced out because she’s leaving. Hopefully she stays in WSL. Brighton style of play would be good but they have Frank Kirby, can they work together?
Tbh I assumed from decemberish that she wouldn’t be renewing. Natalia constantly talks about the future so wouldn’t be surprised if she has benched Jordan to build her team for next season. Brighton would be a good fit and not too bad of a commute, for England Jordan and Fran were in competition for the same position, can’t remember if I saw them play tg
