Week 15/16? // End
It's out, all that is left is the EPK and this blog. Screening signups went well, and screenings did as well. I scrambled at the end to fix up the couple things I needed but overall it went okay.
SCREENINGS:
Everyone was amazing and I got great feedback. The two actresses came and they loved it too, I'm glad it went well. It was a bit too quiet for my taste (I nuked it in mixing because the ringing levels scared me) but only one person commented on it. Someone suggested that the clean side was what the character wanted to happen versus the left that was reality, and that hit pretty hard. I love that people could have different interpretations of it.
Thank you to everyone who had a hand in my project. I couldn't have done it without any of you.

Final submission file (iteration #8 or 9 I think?)
I don't know how many iterations ended up being shown in class (maybe 4/5?) I wish I showed more to Christine or in class, but the half that weren't seen were honestly small or a big enough departure that I backtracked to realign and continue.
If nobody sees it does it count as an iteration?
There were a few other people outside of SOFA that saw each of them, and I think having those opinions from third parties overall helped from that different perspective.
But yeah here it is

Week 14
The production checkin went well, I got some good notes and I'm messing around with it some more before final submission. Honestly I don't quite know what else to put in the blog, I'll update with the few docs I have but now that it's finishing up, it feels odd.
I need to finish my EPK, I don't think I can make something at the showcase because I leave friday, and the film is almost complete to be screened.

Week 13
Long weekend
Things went extremely well over the last few days. I was able to shoot the last things I needed (part 1), I also shot some supplemental bits for 2 and 3 as a just in case/test. Above are some stills.
Having everything finally together in the timeline for an edit is extremely reassuring. I have come a long way since week 8 and I hope it shows.
As far as music is concerned, I don't think I have time to compose a bit for the beginning so I might just try to find something on soundsnap. It'll probably be jarring but maybe it'll work, something cheery and bright to stick out like an iceberg.
The final checkin is friday, It'll be done by them but I'm still nervous. I'm glad I chose friday in case I want to change something.

Week 12
Part 3/the split was very well received. The audio didn't work but that is fine, more time to have something to show. I want to do something similar for part one. I am shooting over the break, excited to finish that up and put all 3 parts together. Still need to nail soundscape, but that will come. Charlotte lives around here so shooting over the break is a possibility. Regardless, clean up the edit?

Week 11 - One on One Week
This week was extremely busy, over the weekend was a capstone shoot I was AD on. I signed on over the summer so it was a long-planned thing, though it would have been nice to have the time to focus on my radical. I have shot SOME new footage, but I intend on reshooting it (maybe for one on one meeting?). I don't feel like I have enough to show just yet. Although, I have been working on sound bits, will post.

Week 10 - 2
Critique went well, the situation does not seem AS dire anymore. NEED MORE FOOTAGE Going to shoot this weekend and next weekend. I just routinely have the same kit checked out weekend to weekend in case I want to/need to shoot. I think I'm the only person who checks out the huge green screen from the cage haha!

Week 9
Progress is going steady, I shot some over this weekend with the green screen again, just to clean up some shots. The footage is seeming more and more cohesive! I also have been working on possible soundscapes but it's been more throwing darts to see if anything sounds nice. I still need to plan the first and last part of the film as well. Not too much progress this week but the reorienting is good.
