Comparing SA to not wanting to comply with legal documentation from EA is the scummiest thing I’ve ever seen. Look, I’ve been in a ton of fandoms who had their fair share of shitty takes on sexual assault/sexual harassment, but this? This is beyond being ignorant, this is trivializing sexual assault to some corporation simply asking people to not paywall fucking mods. Sims 4 seems to be the only gaming community with this exact issue of paywalling mods and it’s weird how greedy some of y’all are with it. Accepting donations and commissions is fine, but to absolutely expect people to pay more than $10 on a file that is actually copyright and owned by EA is pathetic at best. To compare the trauma many of us survivors go through to guilt-trip people is fucked up. I did not suffer having to be told I was a liar by people I thought were my friends and only having the support of my teachers and school admins (because this experience happened to me a few years ago when I was just 14. When I was just a child.) for some fucker on the internet to go “waaaaah EA won’t let me profit off of their content waaaaah this is SOOOOOO like sexual assault victims being slut shamed!!!”. ffs.

Just a reminder yall. @magic-bot has actively compared not getting paid for their illegal content to getting raped. Yeah. That's right. I think most of us who've experienced such am awful thing can agree that this person is absolute trash and is unworthy of support. And then the early access creator @moonchildlovesthenight swoops in to agree with this garbage despite its offensive nature and to try and detract from the subject by bringing up a few people potentially being anti Semitic to justify nasty behavior of both themself and magic bot. Keep in mind that these are people who expect the community to pay them, yet they sit there and gaslight and manipulate their own community. Have some self respect and don't support people like this who like to use the community as a cash cow and get belligerent towards you when they can't do that anymore.

Correction: Supposedly moonmoron was unaware what they had responded to, which I mean... Im doubtful how they can come in and say that when they not that long ago compared this situation to the Holocaust, and easily knew that the topic was about paywalling without thoroughly reading the post, but for generosity sake, I will include that it's up in the air as to rather they condoned the behavior. I still think so, but I'll let yall decide for yourselves. Either way, a garbage person.

Amazing Modders who Deserve More Recognition!

There is so much talent in the Sims community, I just can’t 😭

I found these modders a couple days ago, and I just needed to share!

The Treacherous Fox has been making me actually want to try out the fizzy drinks in my game. Their mods allow children to make and drink them, as well as make lemonade using the BackYard tray. This modder is new to modthesims.com, so make sure to give them a warm welcome!

As soon as I saw Ferdiana’s page, immediately signed up to become a patron. This modder brings back details from the Sims 3, like the ice cream truck and play with mirror interaction, and fun additions like a special greeting for proper sims and shopping bags for customers. 

Sims can talk to plants, why not their guitars, too? ClaudiaSharon, among helpful tuning mods that help streamline autonomy, has this fun little mod that I’m so excited to use. 

I live in the details, and pocci has some brilliant ideas for CC objects that are great for scenes and storytelling. With coats on the back of chairs and the most beautiful wedding dresses you’ll ever see, this modder is definitely in my new top 10! 

Arakhnecc has some amazing, unique traits that add so much more like to your sims! They have 3 traits posted for now, but I’m certainly looking forward to seeing more!

Lastly, (just for this list, more to come!) JR Mod has some adorable functional objects that just made me cry with happiness. A dream bunny drone, hamster toy, and hand donut….how does it get better than that?
