alright so,, im gonna be very vulnerable and open and honest and truthful right now, i'm not the biggest fan of og fnafhs golden. so MAYBE that's why my version is, i would consider, a tad bit more sopping wet kitty pathetic boyfailure rich nepobaby

yeah that's the main change i'd say, man's a NEPOBABY through and through!

my fnafhs take i dont know HOW loyal and accurate to the og plot its going to be, i think what i'll mostly change will be character interactions, developments, and plot points that are unexplained or im not a fan of, but i'll try to explain some lore without spoiling any major story beats, or just say if it follows closely to the og story (cause we all know og fnafhs cmon LOL)

SO, GOLDEN. let's start with his initial design! (under the cut)

alright so. he's rich boy maxxing. he may look a bit ridiculous, like, TOO pampered even. but i wanted to express just how alienated he feels when put against the rest of the cast.

not only does golden's attire practically forget about the school uniform

(bon's clothing for reference)

most of the students wear little accesories to diversify their clothing and personalise their uniform (bon has the striped sleeve, of course) but none of these little details have the clothes stray from how the uniform is at base level. white shirt with red tie and dark blue pants or skirts

with certain exceptions or more of a change for diversity's sake, all the students keep this design (the same colour for the tie and pants (to make coloring easier but also yaknow uniform)

however golden stands out because he CAN afford to stand out and not really care about the uniform. his family is a prime producer and patron of the school, after all. he can afford to ditch the red tie, have a GOLDEN (family color) vest, long sleeves and differently coloured jeans (lighter blue).

he also has rich boy immaculate white shoes and lighter baby blue socks that show because the keans are cuffed at ankle height.

og golden, with his hair and general appearence, his look seems to have been manufactured in an era where bad boys were in demand. historically with famous male singers there's always been kind of like a cycling through eras where bad, tough looking and casual dressing boys are the trend and good, well-kept, rich-looking boys are the trend (at least from my perspective, i may be wrong, like, completely)

so, i found it fun to make my golden have his appearence be dictated by the trend of the well-mannered, romantic guy that charms all the girls-persona, by the golden family

he's a nepobaby, so basically, in my version, the golden family probably got rich off of whatever, decades ago (probably fortune off of exploiting oil or fossil fuel somewhere) and now that the old higher ups of the family are loaded, next logical step is for the children to take advantage of that money to become famous

golden basically has, since birth, had his entire career planned out for him. his grandfather and the congress of business and industry professionals surrounding the head of the family have poor little golden systematically grow an online presence, taking pictures with certain famous people, influencers, actors, beloved by the general public etc.

the career plan is for him to become an industry plant singer. that's supposed to come full fruition once he's of age and not a widdle 16 year old baby, but, in the meantime, a reputation and popularity has to be collected in preparation. golden gets many, MANY little chores of featuring on songs with many other, much more famous and established singers and songwriters (i dunno, imagine Despacito - Luis Fonsi ft: Golden Boy)

the extent of his work on the song is only featuring on it, like shouting his name at the begining of the song and appearing in the background when filming the music video LMAO

because im a basic fuck im a sucker for these stories of isolated guys having been kept from danger and putting effort to excel at things their entire life being out on the real word and learning how to manage on their own (realises im writing fucking Adrien Agreste from miraculous again) i mean--- golden is a real dummy type totally LMAO

he was raised pretty isolated by the real word. constantly juggling between attending business meetings at a very young age and doing these little tasks of building a presence in the industry that ive already talked about

he was basically raised by tv, especially movies of the fantasy romance type, cherishing and yearning for the freedom, bravery and INDEPENDENCE of those knights in shining armour. who always save and get the girl.. yeah my golden has a pretty skewed view of the world and interpersonal relationships. not only has he been conditioned to expect to get everything done for him and offered on a silver platter, but he's also been influenced by the media that influenced his upbringing in that behaving in a certain, jovial type way will for sure get people to like him, and for the girls to love him, for sure (internalised shit to work through YAYYY)

so, when the working class, average type kids that have somewhat become his first and only friends dont inmediately like him (or even find him annoying and other negative adjectives BECAUSE of his wealth and status) he's honestly a little puzzled. he loves his friends, he loves having friends and not business associates or acquaintances by convenience. but he's not so sure his friends love him..

golden at first believes that all he's worth for is his money and capability to support others financially.

witnessing first hand the lives of his new friends, their freedom, their indepence, their happiness despite living in objectively poorer circumstances than him. it makes him start to hate his own situation. now that he's tasted a life for himself, having to go back to his own house and family every afternoon after school feels bleak.

ok let's not delve in very spoiler territory (spoilers not even I AM aware of, because im gonna be real here i dont have the entire plot and character moments panned out here in my head. i may have been bluffing this entire post improvising some ideas and finding that i like them, so they are gonna end up integrated in the larger hypothetical potential story! this is why i wanted people to ask for whatever they wanted, it pushes me to think and write about characters i generally don't really worry that much for, or that don't inspire me much just by themselves. it is the dedication of other people that brings me the interest of what they see on a character, that make me wonder and come up with ideas!)

as i said before we all know how the golden story goes. (i find him very dumbed down and relegated to the sidelines in og season 2 :sob:) he cuts contact with the golden family, lives on his own (later with foxy) and is basically like starving for his life???? i dont know how to take this like its all played for laughs but there is also literally a student in poverty living at the school quarters like ok :sob: LMAO

my version isn't that much different. except for the design. og only has him in duller colors with slightly more ragged clothes and messier, unkept hair. mine goes all out on the leaving the golden family and its rules.

we welcome back the actual og golden hair! (or at least adapted to my style)

inspired by his friends, golden takes a shot at living for himself only. not being an inoki LOL. he lets his hair grow out without products to form artificual stylish curls. he lets go of the make up that covers his freckles and he takes this as an opportunity to dress how he'd always been forbidden to do!

with the collar of the shirt dropping down, not draped around his neck, long, oversized jeans of the same colour as the uniform that go over his shoes' rim, these very shoes are cheap looking sneakers of red (to compensate for not having a red tie but still to have some red in his design) and an oversized sweater that goes over his shoulders (preposterous for the family) in a colour that ISN'T gold. he ditches the family colour, but keeps his name.

Ive decided for his name to be Godofredo IV Golden

Godofredo because aahahahha fredo freddy hahaha godo golden also it is a stupid old family name he probably inherited (hell im sure grandfather is also named godofredo) but he LOATHES that name and keeps to Golden, since that what his friends always resorted to calling him.

one last point to talk about golden and joy.

just to recap really. if you've checked out the post where i ranted about my designs for the toys, you'll know what i said about joy.

golden and joy are still related, but more closesly. they're now half-sibling (linked by the father) instead of just cousins.

they were raised together, but something caused joy to leave and go away at an early age, leaving golden to bear the weight of the family alone..

chat, i have a controversial headcanon

first of all, this comes from a personal experience that I'm projecting onto fictional characters in a children's movie, LMAO

but

what if zoey (because she's the one i identify with the most augh) had a crush on bobby when she debuted because his personality made her feel so many things and ended up developing a love that she didn't know whether to take as platonic or intense since she is very fond of love.

she tried to be his favorite, she was the one who analyzed the most details in him and that sometimes made mira and rumi suspect the crush but they never decided to ask her about that.

bobby simply existed and that made zoey really happy.

in the end, zoey got over her crush after a little while, but bobby noticed and decided not to judge her, trying to be twice as gentle with her because he saw her as a little sister.

i know this sounds very controversial but idk guys, im projecting a lot onto zoey aughhhhh
