It's from the watermelon area in black space, but normally you don't see this much of it. The dead basils were shocking when I looked through the game files and saw them D: So that's what the giant looming hands look like

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!!! I'm sorry I haven't posted in a while and all you guys get is a poor quality sketch I did at school today but I have an explanation and some more random art under the cut,, Feel free to skip!!!

Starting with art, I have a comic wip for my friend @quonit (tagging so you can see the update and know I haven't forgotten you!!! Sorry abt the ping and all the rest, you don't have to read everything else!! Also, please don't repost, this is more of an update than anything and I would rather keep that to my immediate audience 💔) for their amazing fic I'll Save Us Both, One Day!!

All I have done so far is the cover page, the rest is all sketches and the first page has lineart for Basil only. Sorry for being so slow 🙏🙏 Mini explanation in the drabble but to say it concisely here for ease of reading, I've been preoccupied with school and just artistically unmotivated. I'll work on it when I can!!

Now for the drabble (copied from insta): Happy Valentine's Day guys!!!! I didn't want to leave you guys on radio silence for another billion years but I don't have much to post so take some wips for a comic I'm making for a friend.....

So. As you guys may have noticed, I've been gone for a while!! In the art aspect anyway,, this wasn't intentional!! I've been working on that comic for weeks I just. Haven't gotten much farther than all the basic sketches 💔 I've been busy at school but I also just. Haven't felt like it. And I want to be honest with you guys!! And I was prepared to start working on it as hard as I could now that two things I've been having to focus on the most at school are done, but unfortunately, personal circumstances have prevented that. That's also why this drawing isn't digital,, I don't have access to my drawing tablet at the moment. To put it simply, and being vague due to just how personal this is, I'm moving!! Kinda. But nonetheless, no need to be worried!!! Just know over the weekend I'll be focusing exclusively on moving, which means I probably won't be very active for a bit, or able to work on art.

Hopefully I'll be back soon enough, but I have quite a lot to be done on that comic, and I would prefer for that to be the next thing I post. But still, no need to be worried!! I'm all good 🥰 Unfortunately this also means my yearly Basil birthday redraw won't be happening on his birthday, but in theory after the comic is done I'll still be able to do it. Just be a little late!! Happy early birthday to our favorite flower boy 🎉🎉

Also normally, I would put tags, but due to this post mostly just being an update that I would rather keep to my immediate audience, I won't be doing so. If you find this post anyway, sorry for the drabble!! Hopefully the art was still enjoyable, even if it wasn't much 🙏

This is the piece I was talking about in the last post it just took a little longer than expected.... Made it as good as I could for you guys !!! All I've done so far for omori.exe are doodle pages and one slightly janky color challenge so I tried real hard on this one 🙏 I especially like puzzy in this one!! He has a very cute little face and I love him lots 💕 I thought it would be cool to tweak little aspects of his design so that instead of looking exactly like Basil, he would look more like a previous version or like something like Shattered Omori- just different enough to be off putting. So now he has the collared shirt that I think HS Basil has in the lineup, and suspenders instead of overalls- both because suspenders look a lot like overalls, and as a callback to Rowan!! He also has pointier hair and eyes than I usually give HS Basil, more like how I draw RW Basil. Less happy with Exori because side profiles are still something I struggle with and tend to change every time I draw them, but he still gets the point across!!! Rip bro something is certainly off with him 😔

Extras:

As a little bonus I did an alt version of puzzy with the color combo my lovely friend Fishy drew him with!!! A lovely light green with dark purple/blue lineart and accents 🥰 I absolutely adore the color palette Fishy has like the best grasp on color theory of anyone I've seen ever if you guys somehow don't follow him already you absolutely should !!!!!! His Omori comics are the best 🙏🙏

You guys are riding this obsession out with me/j I'm also thinking about a fic focused on Exori after everything goes down based on Puzzy's dialogue about prion diseases, but I haven't done anything with that yet and I'm pretty busy with school so that's a hard maybe.... But yeah them!!! I've now decided un-exeified Exori is "wrong font Omori" and I've deduced after about 3 seconds of squinting his (and other mod creations) font is probably monospace bold do with that what you will 🙏 my favorite doodle is the one about the spikes in the playthrough I watched the guy waited like .2 seconds after wrong font Omori got done talking to immediately go touch the spikes it was great

Idk why I like Exori so much he's just Omori but with big claws and a funny looking sleeveless turtleneck like. I can't explain it smth about him just speaks to me..... Also he spent the whole mod having the biggest crash out of all time that might have something to do with it 💕 idk there's just smth kinda sad about him ig, like he's the only one who knows that they live in a game, and more importantly, that game is literally imploding or smth which means they're all gonna die!!! So his only solution is to kill his friends and. Idk brainwash them or whatever happened to Aubrey and Kel presumably so they don't have to feel getting erased?? Not sure but anyway the point is he just seems kinda tragic to me and you all know I'm a sucker for the complicated and sad ones 💔

Do you guys remember that colorblind challenge thing from tiktok. That's what I was trying to do on the first drawing, except for some reason my tablet doesn't have a monochrome option so I had to give myself a headache for 3 hours by turning it on red-green colorblind and inverted to mess with the colors enough to be impossible to figure out. I think it turned out pretty good??? I picked out the colors from some random color palettes but low-key I forgot what I picked by the time I was actually coloring does it still count

After that is a doodle page of various stuff I thought up while I was watching the playthrough a second time.... Mostly Basil and Exori bc I'm biased but Kel and Aubrey's parts were really good too!!! Thought about squeezing Shattered Omori and Puzzy in plus silly Aubrey and Exori interactions but I ran out of room 😔 maybe I'll do another one though!!! Drew them most getting violently murdered as an apology I love their designs idk why.... Basero abomination will probably be on there if I do another one too idk we'll see!!!

It's done!

I've wanted to make a Stranger emotion sheet for a while, so for the past month, I've been working on this. This has taken me at least 30 hours to draw, and another 15 to fully and properly animate and save. Possibly one of the largest projects I've drawn!

Below the cut, I've added a little bit of extra info behind the design choices as well as the lineart-only version and the dark version.

Since the full sheet is rather low-res, in the reblogs, I'll also add individual versions of each emotion—one for the full version, one for lines, and one for dark version ;v;

Neutral

The basis for all emotions was based on how many Stranger fan artists draw him. While his eyes are more hooded in his main sprite in the game, I went for more open eyes to make him more expressive in the others. He received the shirt that current day Basil wears and is based on his 16-year-old design. His mouth isn’t visible in this state.

Injured

Beaten and bruised. Might resemble something else bloody that could potentially disturb Sunny when he’s reminded of her, so that even damaging Stranger threatens Omori’s purpose.

Defeated

Like Omori, Stranger does not succumb, as he is an intrinsic part of Sunny’s psyche. His physical form lets loose, and his colours invert.

Happy

When Omori looks at you :D

Ecstatic

A winner’s grin and jolting shoulders betray Stranger’s emotional state as he tries to hold in his laughter. Whether he’s mocking you or he’s just happy to see you is up to you.

Manic

Now having snapped, Stranger full on lets out a nasty snicker and a boisterous laugh, looking down on his enemies in mocking amusement.

Sad

When Omori ignores you :(

Depressed

Ghosts can cry?

Miserable

End of life type of misery. Paralysed by grief, Stranger might choose to put an end to himself rather than waiting for defeat, but might in turn damage Sunny’s brain by harming part of himself. In a last-ditch effort to guilt him into facing the truth, he uses familiar imagery that might shock Sunny enough to snap him out of this nightmare.

Angry

Stranger isn’t easy to anger, so his first stage of anger is more like exasperated annoyance.

Enraged

As his anger ramps up, Stranger prepares his vines to grab and skewer any enemy who might seek to enrage him.

Furious

Molten fury tears into the fabric of the dream, collapsing it into a mess of glitches and weaving his tar rage into its matrix as he seeks revenge on not just Omori, but the dream itself. This is the point of no return.

Afraid

Nervous, Stranger tries to control his breathing and stay calm.

Stressed Out

As his pulse hammers through his body and he heaves, Stranger’s outlines have inverted in sheer panic.

Terrified

The whites disperse into cyan, magenta, and yellow. Some say it is a survival instinct to evaporate into nothingness.

Chri- WRONG Omori anniversary (fourth edition) lmao who needs the holidays when we have crippling hyperfixations!!!!! (This is a joke btw happy holidays everyone!!! Hope you got everything you wanted!!!)

Merry Christmas or anything else you celebrated today everyone!!!!!!! I hope everyone got what they wanted and more 💖 I almost didn't finish this in time to post today but I wanted to wish you guys happy holidays so I finished it as fast as I could!!!! Today is also Omori's fourth anniversary, and I genuinely hate the piece I made for it last year an unbelievable amount so I tried really hard on this one and y'know, for starting on it a grand total of three days ago, I think it came out really well!!!! The thought process was if Omori had a movie poster, what would it look like? And this is what I came up with!!! Not terribly spoilery, but still gets the cutesy but a little off putting vibe the game has!!! I wanted to include Spirit Mari too because I love her but I just couldn't fit her anywhere so instead we get a spooky Headspace Mari with her no face sprite from Black Space....

I was also trying to emulate more of Omocat's style for this, so while everyone is still definitely stylized, the colors are straight from Omocat's lineups and everything that would be filled in with the black color was first filled with either black for the HS guys and dark gray for Omori, Stranger, and Something, then scribbled in with black or various shades of purple, blue, and pink!!! Basil was the only exception since he has Green Hair and Pronouns™, but his overalls do about the same thing and his hair actually has shades of blue and purple in it on the lineups so I added those in, too. I also added Sunny reflected in the knife because while I wanted to include the whole RW gang too, I just couldn't fit them all in, but at least managed to squeeze the arguably most important one in at least. Just know I tried 🙏🙏

Oh also check out these keychains I got from the blind bags!!!! Not Stranger but in this household we also love Auby and Hero 💖

Nightshade Week Day 7 - Forgiveness + Vulnerable (except it's an entire week late erm.....)

No TWs except depictions of scars and an outrageous amount of inconsistency (whoops)

Right so before the art I should probably address the fact that I'm. Y'know. A whole week late. It wasn't on purpose I swear!!! I'm sorry guys I almost managed to finish a drawing challenge without missing a single day..... 6 days in a row is still pretty good, right??? Okay so basically it started with my pen having a lot of trouble registering the battery because the top couldn't stay on, right??? Well, after a couple days, it got a whole lot worse, and eventually became nearly impossible to use, so I had to get another one. But then that other one also had trouble working and had a weird flat plastic disc for a tip (aka I got my $10 worth) so that was no luck, which meant waiting several more days for an exact replacement, and then I was at school so I worked on these inconsistently over the course of about four days. But we got it done!!!! Eventually....

I've actually headcanoned for a long time that Omori used to have. Like. A "get this mosquito out of my house!!!" mentality towards Stranger for quite a while, which basically meant it was a kill on sight kinda thing, hence all the scars. But it was less out of malice and more because Stranger was viewed as a threat to Sunny's welfare, and as the protector of both Sunny's happiness and by extension Headspace, Omori had to keep him out. Which Stranger understands!!! Obviously it's something they would have to do a lot more talking about than just this, since while Stranger plays it off pretty well here I'd imagine getting killed like a gazillion times isn't without it's trauma.... But they'll get through it together!!! In a way this is pretty closely linked with the first one and Omori's struggles to accept that someone who used to be little more than a tool can be called a human now, or even deserves to have a happy ending and become something more alive, and it was very fun getting to dive into his struggles during this week!!! I hope I get to explore it more in depth some time, as well as Stranger's own issues!!!!

Nightshade Week Day 6 - OMORI's Ending + The Real World (technically)

Another fluffy one, no warnings this time just silly catshade doing silly things!!!!! Mild spoilers for the good ending of Omori, although it's pretty out of context so it should be fine

This is actually technically a redraw of a piece I did for last year's nightshade week!!!! I went through several ideas for this before deciding I might as well see how much I've improved and do a remake.... Especially considering the fact that my pen was fighting me tooth and nail for this whole thing which is why it probably looks slightly messier than my other ones for this week. But!!! I was using a messier pen also to emulate a sketchier style like the original stump drawing had so hopefully it looks alright regardless.

Nightshade Week Day 5 - The Nightshade Flower (+ Handholding bonus)

No TWs this time!!! Just some bittersweet and fluffy art respectively!!!

This is the one for The Nightshade Flower!!! I had a plan for this that was very different, split down the middle with the top half being them fighting (aka the poisonous part of the flower) and the bottom half being them in roughly the same poses but Post-Good Ending and dancing instead (aka the beauty of it), but I couldn't get the poses right and it would've taken too long so I settled on some alternative meanings for the flower. It's scientific name is Atropa Belladonna, the first part being a reference to Atropos from Greek myth, one of the 3 Fates who control if or not a person dies with their string of life. Deadly Nightshade means danger and betrayal, whereas Black Nightshade means protection, healing, and usefulness. Their relationship is complicated and their ship name is an equally complicated flower and I love them for it!!!!!!

This is actually a project I did for my art class a few months ago, but I never posted it online and they're holding hands so screw it I'm counting it I like this piece a lot sue me!!!!

I was late because my pen decided to not work unless I held it together with tape so thanks for that.... No promises the last two days won't also be late sorry guys 😔

Posting this one early bc I'm going somewhere for thanksgiving but Nightshade Week Day 4 - Photos + Body Horror (kinda technically)

This one is very silly compared to yesterday I promise but there is blood and mediocre gore so watch out!!! It's based on that one fic where Omori eats Stranger bc he's a watermelon if anyone has read it

Does this mean I retconned the last one where Stranger has the black blood you would expect??? Yes it absolutely does but technically you could just say his blood turned red post good ending now that he's got some color going on and is kinda getting restored to his headspace Basil self (me trying to give lore for a goofy picture that's just me messing around with the fact that this fell on Thanksgiving)

Also here's this I have never played genshin impact in my entire life and I didn't edit this picture whatsoever but just to convey what's going on behind the camera
