"Marék (Handful)" Screenprint
(Boglárka Beer - 2025)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
My first screenprint! Following in the paths of my recent works "Leletek (1 & 2) (Artifacts)" . So happy with this one, i loved the process of screenprinting, I'll probably do more in the future (hopefully)!
More about the work:
First it has a base layer with a darker, but still mid range blue, which has a more cool undertone, then the second, greyish-blue layer which shows the rocks dotted surface. The third layer is a dark, chocolate brown color line art, to bring out more of the back tones of the first 2 layers.

"Leletek 2 (Artifacts 2)"
(Boglárka Beer - 2025)
aquatint-etching final prints !!!
Tumblr media
Ofc with paint mixing... : )
Process thoughts:
We had some troubles with the acid, but after all everything worked out luckily! Im happy how the tones came out, i was so worried about the darkest parts, but they look pretty smooth, easily printable too! The art piece has an etching base with linework, and then 3 aquatint layers. Happy with how this came out! : )
More about the artwork:
This piece is about honoring a really good memory of mine. I went to Greece with my sister, and i was mesmerized by the sea. We found little blue rocks on the coast that had white and black dots all over them, and they were so magical laying under the waves, the light washing over them. In that moment i felt like my childhood memories of finding pretty pebbles next to the Danube, and the moment im in, just became one. I was the little girl playing in the muddy waterside, and also a grown adult being far-far away from her home, but still finding the same thing interesting as 10 years ago.

Candle themed sketch-play "Gyertya"
Tumblr media
Little spread i did in candle theme🕯 - i love sketching the same thing over and over again and just see where my hands take me with it - making fun of everyday objects, simplifying them to the point where you might not even understand them is a little game i like to play from time to time 💭

My little Tea Sketchbook
The things we do to make us feel right (!) - this little A6 sized sketchbook been by my side for a while, and really, it was easy to fall in love with it. For many artist, a new sketcbook, with many blank white pages can be so intimidating - and my answer to that : make it yours! Maybe, stick your favorite tea bag all over it... Anyways! This size is just right to throw in your bag at 6AM on a school morning, and make sketches all day in class, on the way home etc... And yes maybe, it's a little sticky sometimes from the glue layers I've been putting on it, and maybe sometimes it tries to fall apart, but this little cover made me realise - sometimes you have to let yourself be a little less clean, less precize, and less mentally stable, and destroy something, before making it a whole new thing.
