This is a card I drew for my bestie, since her birthday is coming up~

I drew this in February of 2020.

Here’s my original comment about this drawing:

I’ve seen a bunch of people drawing rat girls because, you know, it’s the year of the rat. So! I thought I’d make a go at it :)

Rats are described to be energetic but a bit frail and sensitive to temperature, so I decided to make the girl more petite and gave her a big warm sweater coat thingy and generally warmish clothes.

For her hairstyle I decided  not go with buns, since most everyone has gone with it, but I still wanted something that made it look like she had rat ears which resulted in those braids doing a loop~

I also wanted to keep in mind the overall shape of an actual rat - kinda water drop kind of shape - and her clothes and hairstyle really help with getting that shape.

For her color scheme I looked up the lucky colors for the people born in the year of the rat - blue, green and gold - and chose two of them to work with, since I felt like three would be a bit busy for what I was going for with this drawing. Also, blue+yellow/gold is one of my favourite color combinations ever so, of course I went with that one lol

My rat girl doesn’t really feature hoarding in her design because I imagine her looking proper in front of others while limiting her hoarding to her home. Her home would still be really clean and organized, but she would just have all sorts of trinkets in there.

Exactly ten years ago on the 1st of November I got my very first drawing tablet - a Bamboo Pen & Touch.  I, of course, instantly went to do a drawing to try it out. I had no clue how to properly use it and, since it wasn’t a screen tablet, I had to get used drawing while looking at the computer screen. Despite my lack of experience and my choice of using GIMP out of all the programs to draw with, I ended up making a pretty decent drawing at that time. I was quite proud haha

Since it has been 10 years, I decided to redo my very first piece and see how much I’ve improved since then. Turns out I’ve improved a lot and, yet again, I’m quite proud of myself haha

My country legalized same-sex marriage! Whoo~!

Starting today same-sex couples can apply for marriage in Estonia! Whoo~!

I decided to draw my Estonian OCs Kadri and Mai again (I drew them when same-sex marriage was legalized in Estonia), but this time I drew them getting married! It was fun to think about what kind of outfits they would wear when getting married~

I just wanted to doodle some HM/SoS OCs of mine. I made them for some collabs (the sisters for a collab comic and Beryl for a RP thing on DA)... but as collabs consisting of mostly teens often do, those kinda fizzled out haha

Even if the stories I created them for don't exist any more, I want to include them in some sort of story in the future, since I'm really fond of them~
