Last Day!!!

FINALLY! It is our last day and we’re done. I feel happy because i don’t have to wake up early, missed breakfast and i can totally spend and enjoy my vacation but i feel sad also because I will miss these people who welcomed us and treated us as a part of BUTC Family. I will never forget them and I feel thank you because I learned something new. I learned how to navigate the working world through real life, hands on experience. I even worked hard even if my task is small and seems unimportant because I know that it will help me build a good work ethic, and people will notice the effort I put in. It was a very good experience and I am so glad that we made it. Congrats to all of us co-interns!!!

Ma’am Janlyn assigned me to sort Files at Admin’s office. Of course I asked for some help because I couldn’t do it alone. It took us 3 days to finished it. To make it more beautiful not just organized I designed labels for each boxes.

We made also a proposal and letter for the web hosting of the system. We are thankful to Mr. Apan who guided us along the process.

We presented the system to Mrs. Ortega, the Dean. 

We are all excited that this system will be deployed soon. Mrs. Ortega agreed to give budget for web hosting Their files will be safer here and it will make their works easier and faster.

Welcome Freshmen!!!

I remember when I was at their moment, the happiness, the eagerness and the excitement I felt. I was so thankful because of all the students that took BUCET I am one of the luckiest. 

I had great expectation for my life at university when I was in high school. I imagine all the subjects that we must learn in our course were interesting. I thought that I could get good grades the same as I did in high school. Nevertheless, my college life was not entirely like what I had expected. Life in high school and life in college are quite different. Anyway,  no matter how different the high school and college are, both of them are important education processes for us. I just want to say congratulations and good luck Freshies!

Creating the video presentation :)

I was the one who asked by my co-interns to do this. It took me 1 day to extract this video. It was fulfilling when I saw the output. It was amazing they said so i believe them. I can be now your video editor for free hehe.

Our initial presentation of the system to Ms. Tango, the associate Dean. She had suggestions for the improvement of the system. We worked on it and afterwards we return to her for checking and we are happy that she is satisfied with it’s output.

We captured some of the BUTC building. These photos will be used for the video presentation to be played during BUTC Freshmen Orientation.

We are still working on the features of the system requesting and sorting files. To get those files to be uploaded, we started roaming BUTC Offices. Asking for the office and staff’s names. 

The Dean also gave us assignment to create a video presentation for BUTC Freshmen Orientation.

Still stuck on file sorting, scanning at Dean’s Office and working on the database.

Well we never missed to satisfied our cravings. We didn’t just wait the mangoes fell from its tree haha of course we made way to get those.

I was asked to help the registrar to accommodate all those non-qualified students that were applying for slots. I based on their composite rating that must not below on 82 then ranked them. Most of these students were from far places. I saw how they really want to study in a public University and free tuition fee. The parents even beg me to help their children but what can I do I’m just following instructions. I felt sorry. It was hard for me to see their faces when i rejected their application form.

We began to do the tasks that were given to us. Sorting files from the Dean’s Office, we also planned on how we do the system and started to do the database. Doing the system wasn’t that easy for us. We have problems in some parts of the codes and database. Well, it takes time and hopefully we finished it on time.

We witnessed the turnover of Mrs. Oronan  to Mrs. Mortega as the new Dean of Bicol University Tabaco Campus.
