teddy.
āI promise the day I run out of excuses to talk to you, my go to wonāt be accidentally tackling you.ā He laughed. The constant weird coincidence of them seeing each other often around town had worried Teddy at first. His paranoia had offered some colorful ideas like his father trying to prove he wasnāt fit to raise the girls anymore. Thankfully it only took him sharing that thought to his old friends back home to be thrown out swiftly. āI can absolutely buy you a tea. Just⦠Direct me to the coffee shop.ā Three months here and he still barely knew where anything was if he wasnāt constantly there. He grinned at her, a little sheepishly. āNot lost, just without anything to do for the next few hours. I havenāt had that in a while.ā
SHE LETS OUT A SOFT LAUGH, nodding to him,Ā ā iāll hold you to it. ā it occurs to her that it might be the universe pulling some strings in order for them to meet, but itās unclear why. originally, she considered that maybe he was following her. but upon actually getting to know him, it seemed like he was just as confused as she was.Ā ā i was actually headed to it before you clotheslined me, so i can take you there. ā soleil offers, before nodding at the admittance.Ā ā right !! the girls, ā heād mentioned his sisters during their many run-ins with one another, if she can recall correctly.Ā ā good news is that youāre kind of in the middle of everything interesting in town. youāve got options. ā

If Teddy had to find a good person to bump into, Soleil would have been on the list. At this point it was nearly comical how often he saw this woman. They always seemed to be running errands around the same time⦠Now they were physically running into each other. There were worse things he supposed. āOh, hi, Soleil. Nice to see you here,ā He grinned down at her, hand moving from her back where he had tried to steady her. āI am really sorry about slamming into you.ā He blinked down at her, head tilting as he tried to remember what he had said. āUh, that it was my fault, I think. Which it was, sorry about that. I was trying to figure out where Iām going.āĀ
ā IF I DIDNāT KNOW ANY BETTER, T, iād think you were running out of excuses to talk to me. am i so intimidating ?? ā sol teases, thankful that she didnāt fall flat on her face in front of him.Ā ā well, donāt try to knock me out again and iāll call us even. maybe treat me to some tea and i might even forgive you. ā even though they only really know each other from their run-ins, soleil feels comfortable enough to joke around with him. after all, she did arguably see him more than some of her friends. fingers pick at her nails absently, friendly smile turning into a curious one,Ā ā where youāre going ?? are you lost ?? ā

seraphina.
āhi, you look fucking sexy!ā she greeted, standing up to give her a hug before dragging her onto the couch with her. day in and day out, she dealt with deafening music and drunk individuals. you would think sera would be tired of loud and crowded venues. she was, however, she always made an excuse to attend any sunset hills party that her friends invited her to. even if it meant going for literally a few minutes. seraās probably been there for about an hour, getting cozy on the couch after a few drinks. ābitchā¦ā she started, āokay⦠so itās been pretty dead here, but if youāre looking for party favors thereās a guy in the kitchen. if youāre looking for tea,ā she smirked and wiggled her brows, ālook at the girl with the pink dress and ugly shoes.ā
ā I KNOW. YOU DO TOO !! ā soleil says during their hug, letting out a laugh as she sits on the couch. her legs cross, tossing red hair over her shoulder. she leans forward when sera starts talking, noting the plug in the kitchen. eyes scan the scene, before landing on the girl in question.Ā ā girl.. ā soleil scoffs, openly grimacing at her.Ā ā what the fuck is this open-toed chunky heel with stockings fad ?? itās ugly. get a pedicure or put them away, no one wants to see that. āis she sloshed already ?? ā she takes a sip of her drink, unable to look away from the trainwreck ahead of her with an airy laugh.Ā ā sheās way too pale for that shade of pink. looks like a hairless cat. ā

teddy.
for: open where: somewhere in town
There had not been a moments peace since the Cornishās had moved. It was school for all of them, getting them into their extra curriculars, meeting with principals and tutors. There was constantly something to keep Teddy busy. And yet, for the first time he was alone without a to do list. Arabella was at ballet and being driven home by one of her friends, Florence was at soccer practice, and Lia was with her bass teacher for a two hour lesson. Frankly he felt like a sim standing in the middle of town looking around like he was waiting for his overlord to give him a new command. This was, objectively, a nightmare situation. (It wasnāt, he knew he was just being dramatic, but he didnāt want to talk about it.) He turned without looking, too busy thinking about looking like he was doing something to think about looking, slamming into someone. āOh, holy shit.ā He stumbled, grimacing. āI am so sorry. I didnāt look. It wasnāt you, it was me. It wasnāt me, it wasnāt you.ā
SOMETIMES, SOLEIL HAS A TENDENCY TO be in her own head and unaware of her surroundings. today wasnāt an exception, whirlwind thoughts of midterms along with thanksgiving breakĀ ( should she go home ?? should she not go home ?? ), on top of her sudden craving for tea.. the already clumsy woman was doomed from the start. sheās on her phone sending a text to noah when the space ahead of where she was walking was suddenly occupied.Ā ā ah !! ā soleil exclaims, hand instinctively reaching out for the nearest steady object she can find before landing on his arm. the redhead lets go of him when she finds her footing once more, looking up to seeāĀ ā teddy, ā though sheās clearly thrown off guard, she still remembers who he is. after all, running into him at least a dozen times across town in the span of a few months makes him hard to forget. hands fidget with her clothes as she feels her heartrate start to slowly even out, ā youāre really taking this bumping into thing to a new level. āwhat did you just say ?? ā

for:Ā @seraphinarhā where: some house party on dusk drive
EVEN THOUGH SHE DOESNāT OWN THE PLACE, she certainly carries herself like she does. house parties in sunset hills were similar to something in cliche coming of age, YA movies. soleil means it as an insult, especially as she passes by a couple who were both on the rinse cycle of their makeout session. the lights are dim and the musicās loud, which would be a welcome sound if it werenāt for the mass amounts of people yelling to be heard over it. itās practically a relief when she sees seraphina, taking it upon herself to make her way through the crowd towards her.Ā ā phi, ā soleil greets,Ā ā tell me you have something fun to share or for me to look at. itās so chaotic in here, i donāt know where to look first.Ā ā

for: @emcryzhaoā āwhere: the music building
THERE ARE TIMES WHERE WORDS run dry, even for someone like soleil. sheās been sifting through pages of her writing for a little under an hour now, and she can feel the frustration bubbling up in her chest. writerās block was a pet peeve that was uncontrollable, much to her dismay. she knows thereās no use in trying to get back on track, and before it gets out of hand, she quickly shuts the book in front of her.Ā ā merde. ā soleil mutters under her breath, throwing her hands up in exasperation before looking to her friend with the slightest hint of desperation. ā em. can we do something else ?? not to be dramatic, but if i have to write another lyric, iām going to bash my brains in with your drumsticks. ā

for: @delkingā where: sunset hills football field @ 1am
THE QUIET IS A WELCOME SENSATION, the chirps of crickets fewer and farther between now in the fall months, but is replaced with the sound of wind bristling through trees. soleil enjoys it all, especially with her back pressed against the turf of the empty football field. maybe it should be creepy, especially with it being spooky season, but.. the starry sky above her is mesmerizing. so much so that for a moment she forgets the person sheād brought with her.Ā ā dais, ā soleil lulls her head over to the side, a warm smile splaying across her features,Ā ā pass me my bag and then come stargaze with me. i brought a favor. ā smoking with delilah was always fun, though not necessarily routine. their similar tastes in music and views on life made it easy for them to get along, and the weed was just an added bonus.

for: @urghcstsāāāā where: one of the many bars in sunset hills
USUALLY PREFERRING TO BE THE CENTER of attention in places like these, soleil lacks the inspiration to make her presence known. instead, she sips absently on a drink some poor sap had given her to vy for her attention. everyoneās so dull, solās five seconds away from throwing an internalized tantrum and calling it a night when she spots nathan. she perks up instantly at the sight of her friend, taking her drink with her on the journey to where he stands.Ā ā nathan, ā the redhead greets with a smile, clearly amused,Ā ā you went out tonight and you didnāt even think to tell me ?? ā itās all in good fun, leaning against the wall to look out at the otherwise bland crowd that showed up.Ā ā have any fun tricks up your sleeve or do we need to make our own fun ?? ā

jack.
Jack blinked as he realized his friend hadnāt been listening to anything he had said. He had been trying to tell her about something that was going to be on the test they were studying for, since they had a shared class. Resigning himself to the inevitable- that they were just going to talk because everything on the study guide was too difficult and not enough to keep either of their attention for long, he turned to look.
āOh, god. Poor dude looks like he needs a nap. I wonder how long heās been here?ā
ITāS NOT THAT SOLEIL USUALLY HAD A HARD time concentrating, itās just.. the material in front of her was so utterly soul-draining. sheās desperate to talk about anything that isnāt school-related.Ā ā more than a nap. he needs a day to completely hibernate. ā arms fold and lean onto the table, watching the person fall in and out of consciousness and fight hard to stay awake.Ā ā your guess is as good as mine, i noticed him when we sat down, which was like an hour ago..Ā ā

bennett.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā itās an expected request, one bennett may have offered if she had asked instead of prompted, but he laughs nonetheless. Ā Ā ā you drive a hard bargain, but deal. ā Ā Ā he hands her the jacket, shrugs off his backpack and settles into the seat. sitting at the diner counter has always been more appealing to him, even when he came here with others ā thereās just something vintage about being at the counter and getting a cup of coffee placed in front of you without even needing even to ask. bennett gives the waitor a smile before pulling the cup closer to him. Ā Ā ā mind passing the creamer ?? ā Ā Ā he asks sol, gesturing at the small ceramic bowl filled with them. Ā Ā ā working on anything good ?? ā Ā Ā he continues on once heās gotten his creamer. Ā Ā Ā " or is this one of thoseĀ āsee what sticksā kinda moments ??Ā iāve heard diners are great for motivation ā it must be whatever they put in the bacon. ā
ā NICE DOING BUSINESS WITH YOU. ā itās a win-win, she figures. good company with a free milkshake, and bennett gets a seat in an otherwise crowded diner. soleil takes the jacket from him, turning briefly to drape it across the back of her own seat.Ā ā sure thing, ā the girl replies, sliding over the bowl beside her.Ā ā hardly. iāve got band rehearsals tomorrow and iām overthinking lyrics. feels like what i usually do when iām idle for too long. ā blue hues sneak another peek at the notebook in front of her, letting out a soft laugh.Ā ā either that or itās the grease in the air. iāll give america this: iāve never been to a diner i didnāt like. the health hazards are just part of its charm. ā

noah.
āi do,ā he chuckles, āthank you.ā the memories of the night before crosses his mind and he smiles. one of his friends from seattle came by for just one night because they were headed to san francisco, and he and noah partied hard. they mostly stayed in midnight park, but so many joints were smoked. four beers each and they passed out on noahās living room only five hours before he got to the studio. ādid i ever tell you about aaron?ā he asks sol and takes a sip of his coffee before setting it down. āwe were best friendās in high school. and he came last night to visit me, which was nice and i needed it,ā he laughs. because the whole thing with sera is kinda fucking up with his head, so having a night in with one of the people he trusts the most was really special and rewarding. the song stops with a loud reverb. noah canāt help the biggest smile on his face. āthatās my favorite foals album,ā he says, excitedly. āiām literally a genius because thatās all i ever wanted for this track! thank you.ā
HER MIND SEARCHES FOR AN AARON AND FOR A MINUTE, comes up empty. though sheās quick to recall a few stories told from noahās high school years, eyes brightening at the realization. ā oh, yeah !! aaron. seattle, right ?? ā soleil nods along, crossing her legs to get comfortable. a freehand pulls down the hem of her dress,Ā ā that was sweet of him to visit you. ..everything okay ?? ā the question comes with little to no pressure for an actual answer. it was one of the things she liked about hanging around noah; no expectancies of having to know anything and just being comfortable in their friendship. she lets out a laugh at his sudden excitement,Ā ā youāve got good taste. itās a favorite of mine too. ā solās music taste was a varying thing, always wanting to seek out the lastest releases and hear different opinions on what people like. musicās arguably the best way to really get to know someone, musicians even moreso.Ā ā please, donāt thank me. youāre the one who made it !! ā
