p l o t- the kids, robin, and your boyfriend steve watching a scary movie at your house all cuddled up as it storms outside..ingredients to a perfect night!

Since Starcourt went down this meant that the kids weren’t able to see movies every Friday like they used to. You felt bad and decided that every Friday they would come to either Steve, Robin, or your house to watch a movie of their choice.

On this Friday it was your turn to have everyone over at your house to watch movies, throughout the week you always looked forward to it. This was a great opportunity for the kids to spend time with you, Steve and Robin.

Considering all you guys would do was work and in your free time you would go to college to take a few classes but Fridays was your time to spend with the kids.

You worked at Melvalds general store with Will’s mom Joyce, after work you picked up the kids at the Wheelers. You honked your horn twice, you then saw El and Max run out followed by the boys.

“Shotgun!!” Max yelled making sure all the boys heard her, “Oh come on!!!” Lucas says as Max gives him a sassy smirk.“Come on guys Robin and Steve are waiting!!!” you say, after everyone piled up in your car you then drove toward the Family Video where Steve and Robin worked.

“So what movie are you guys wanting to watch today?” you ask, “Well it’s either between The shining or Friday the 13th” Mike says.“A scary movie is perfect to watch tonight since it’s supposed storm pretty badly tonight” Dustin adds,“ooo well im excited with whatever!!” you say as you pull up to the family video.

As Steve sees you walk in he could not contain the smile that came across his face, he came from behind the counter and walked to you.You look up into his light brown eyes and smile softly, he grips your waist as he pulls you closer. “Hey beautiful.” he says, “Hey bubs” you tell him. He then kisses you passionately, you then hear the “ewwws” and the fake gag noises come from the boys and from El and Max you hear “awww” and “soo cute”.

You pull away from Steve and smile at him again, he then sees Dustin. “Henderson!!! What goes on man!!” he says as they do their peculiar handshake. You chuckle as you walk toward robin as she resides behind the counter with her other coworker Keith.

“Hey Robin!!” you say, “Hey y/n!!” she says as she gives you a quick hug. You then set your eyes on Keith, “hey Keith!!” you tell him as you smile.“Hey y/n by the way can you leave the make out sessions with Harrington at home i’ve got customers getting grossed out” he says.

“Oh come one Keith it was only one kiss!!!” you say as you sit on top of the counter, “Hey get off!!!” he says “Keith lighten up a little why do you hate me so much!!” you ask in a playful tone.Keith rolls his eyes and says,”I’m going to go sort the movies” you chuckle as you get a lollipop from a jar that robin had put out.

Steve walks over to you and smirks, “Shut it Harrington!!” you say as you already know what his mind was thinking. Robin laughs, “You guys are adorable so what movie is it today?” she asks the kids as they also make their way to the counter.

“Shining or Friday the 13th” Will says, “Okay well since there’s an uneven amount of us so we’ll just do a draw, y/n write the two movies on strips of paper and then Dustin can we borrow your hat for a minute?” Robin asks. Dustin nods his head yes and takes off his ‘camp know where’ hat and gives it to robin, you then put the strips of paper in dustins hat.

“Okay we should have a random person pick!!” Steve adds, everyone shakes their head in agreement, you look around along with everyone else.“What about Keith??” Mike says, everyone approves “Keith can you come here a second?” Robin yells.Keith rolls his eyes and let’s out a big sigh,”what is it now?”

“we just need you to pick a strip of paper out of dustin hat” you say, Dustin looks at Keith in complete and utter disgust “great he’s going to spread his nasty rash to me!!” he says.

Keith looks at Dustin and says, “I’ve already told you acne isn’t a rash and isn’t contagious you pubescent waistoid” they then argue back and fourth.

“Can you just pick out of the godamn hat Keith?” Max added, he sighs again and finally picks.

Everyone huddled around Keith and waited for him to open the crumbled piece of paper,”What does it say” Will says “I can’t see!!” Mike adds.

As he unfolds the paper he reads it and looks at the kids, “You guys might want to sleep with your mommy Steve tonight because looks like you guys are watching friday the 13th” he says.

You laugh as you look at Steve, the kids then cheer “Can we go to the store to get snacks??” Lucas asks steve he shakes his head yes and they cheer once more.

“Well you take the boys and Robin and i will take El and Max and then we’ll meet at the bradleys big buy okay?” you tell Steve.

He shakes his head and you give him a quick kiss as you and him exchange goodbyes, you, Robin, El and Max all walk out of the family video and towards your car.

“Okay shitheads make it fast go get the movie while i get my things from the back!” Steve says to the boys.

They run to the isle where they had the movie and grabbed it, as Dustin and Will make their back to where Steve was Lucas and Mike stay back.

“Okay were going to be watching a scary movie so it’s your job to make sure El feels protected by you okay?” Lucas says.“What do you mean like what should I do?” Mike asks,”Okay when there is like a jump scare and she gets scared hold her or like grab her hand trust me girls dig that stuff, works on Max like a charm!!!” Lucas tells Mike.He shakes his head,”Okay I’ll try it!!”

“Try what?” Steve says as he walks out from the back room,”Oh nothing there’s this new candy that Lucas was telling me about.” Mike says.“Whatever okay let’s go!! Keisha make sure you lock up okay buddy?” Steve says to Keith as the boys laugh,“Suck it Harrington!!!” Keith yells back.

Steve and the kids then get in the car and starts to drive towards bradleys, as they pull up you Robin and the girls are waiting outside your car.

Your sitting on top of your trunk with El while Robin and Max are talking about the movie, “I wonder if this movie is going to be like really scary” Max says.“Well if it begins to be to much we will watch something else” Robin tells her as she smiles.Considering everything that has happened over the years.

You then hear loud music coming from a car you look up to see your boyfriend pulling up next to your car, you and El jump off your trunk and walk towards Steve and the boys.

“Alright you guys ready we have to make this quick before it starts to storm” Steve tells the kids, you look at him and smile.

The way Steve interacts with the kids always makes you melt inside, he cares so much about them and he definitely shows it.

The kids and Robin walk in front of you and Steve, he interlocks his fingers with yours and kisses your cheek softly.

You along with everyone else walked into the store and walked to the junk food isle, the kids eyes lit up as they see the snacks.

Everyone grabbed the snacks that they wanted,you look at them to see stuff falling out their hands considering they had an entirely to much stuff to carry. you laughed as you helped with their stuff and walked to the check out isle.

As you wait for the cashier to scan the items that the kids picked out, Steve came up behind you and wrapped his arms around your waist, a smile came creeping upon your face.

You turn your head to kiss him on the lips, “I wish tonight could just be us two..” he whispers. You look in his eyes,”I’ll make it up to you I promise” you say as you wink at him.“You better princess because if you don’t you will have no idea what i will do” he says,you bite your lip as his words brush over your ear.

You turn around to see his face, a sly smrik came across his face you rolled you’re eyes and smiled,once the cashier was done scanning the items Steve got out his wallet so he could pay.

“Hey you didn’t have to I could’ve payed for it.” you said, Steve looked at you and put his index finger on your lips softly.“Shhh it’s okay i got it” he said as he processed to pay, a light tint of pink appeared on your face as you smiled.

Once you helped the kids with their bags you headed to your car, the kids were scattered throughout yours and Steve’s car.

As you and Steve arrived to your house it started to pour, the loud clap of thunder made you jump and the rain was cold on your skin. Everyone hurried to get in, thankfully you guys didn’t get super soaked.

“Okay everyone get comfy!!! im going to get the blankets and extra pillows..Steve help me please?” you asked, steve jumped to his feet as those words came out of your mouth.

You walked to the closet where your mom kept the spare blankets, you then went into your room to get the pillows.

As you walked to your bed Steve tackled you and started to kiss you softly, this surprised you but you didn’t mind it at all.

“Steve...” you said, “I know i know but can you blame me i mean it’s hard to be around you and not want to just completely ruin you..” he said still hovering over you.“Steve!!! Shut your mouth there’s children right outside!!!” you said giggling a bit, Steve shook his head and smiled.

“Your cute you know that?” he said kissing you once again he then made his way down to your neck knowing that this drives you insane.You laugh, “Stop that tickles!!” you say as you try to squirm out of his grip. “Oh it does huh??” he says as he grabs your waist and starts to tickle it.

You laugh loudly as he tickles you, you weren’t able to hear the six kids entering your room, “Um what the hell???!!” dustin says.Steve jumps, he gets off of you and stands up he then looks at dustin with a cocked eyebrow, “What??? Can’t we get a little privacy??” he said.

“Not when we are all waiting to watch a movie!!” dustin says back, “come on Dustin it’s not like we were waiting long” Max says.“Yeah Henderson lighten up!!” Steve says as he throw a pillow at Dustin, everyone laughs and you and Steve get the rest of the pillows to take to the living room.

“Took long enough, struggled getting a couple of pillows and blankets dingus?” Robin said, Steve mocks her as he makes a goofy face.Everyone took their places on your sectional couch, you cozied up next to Steve laying your head on his chest as he plays with your hair softly.

El is next to you as she lays her head on mike’s shoulder, Max is sitting next to Lucas as she puts her legs on his.Robin sits on the end of the couch on her stomach next to Will, while Dustin volunteered to be on the floor next to you and Steve.

As everyone got comfy and situated with their pillows, blankets and snacks they looked at the blank tv.“So who’s putting in the movie?” Will asked, everyone looked around of course not wanting to move out of their comfort.

“Nose goes!!” Lucas says as he puts his index finger to his nose quickly followed by everyone else, Mike was the last one to put his finger to his nose. He groans and complains.

“Awww come on!!!! Why can’t Dustin do it he’s the one on the floor!!!” He whined, “Hey i’m not the one who was last!!! So hurry it up i want to watch the movie already!!” He said. Mike let out a big sigh as he put the vhs tape into the player, he sat back down to his spot trying to find “the right spot”.

You and Steve looked at each other and smiled you gave him a quick peck on his jawline and he gave you a kiss on your head as he pulled you in closer.

You then had set your eyes on the tv as it played the scary movie but you felt Steve’s eyes still on you as he admired you in aww, you have caught Steve doing this several time since you been dating but never said anything because you loved it so much.

The night ended with everyone but Steve falling asleep kinda at the same time, when he saw you asleep on his chest he picked you up bridal style and placed you on your bed.He crawled onto the bed with you and held you close he then whispered, “Goodnight my baby” as he kissed you.

As Steve drove home he couldn’t stop thinking about what Dustin had said, he walked in his house and into his room where he plopped down on his bed.

He decided to call his friend Robin, you and Steve could always count on Robin to give you guys advice no matter what it was she knew what to say and what to do.

Steve picked up the phone and dialed her number,”Hey dingus whatcha up to?” she said, he chuckled. “I need your advice on something” he said.

“Advice about what?” Robin asked, “It’s about y/n, it’s so stupid but I want to ask her out but I just..” he said.

“You just what?”

“I mean we’ve been friends for such a long time and what if she doesn’t see me like that...”

“Steve, now look I haven’t know y/n as long as you have but I know that she likes you. I mean the way she looks at you and the way she talks about you.. I would be lying if I said it wasn’t cute because it is...Are you really that much of a dingus to see how much she’s in love with you?” she says.

Steve sits there for a minute as he thinks about you and how he’s tired of hiding these feelings from you and how he’s tired of watching guys hit on you and how he felt when you kissed him on the cheek.

“Hey Steve did you OD over there?” Robin asks as she interrupts Steve’s thoughts

Steve chuckles, “Your right Robin I am an oblivious dingus..but i’m going to do it I just want her no actually I need her...thanks I appreciate it”

“No problem Stevie and by the way im not going to be at work tomorrow soo you and y/n will have to share my shift” she says.

“Ughhh okay!! Thanks again Robin goodnight..” he says as he hangs up the phone.

Steve sighs and started to dial your number, as he held the phone to his ear he was hoping that you would answer.

“Hello?” you say

When Steve heard your voice all he could do was smile,”Hey y/n..” he said.

You giggle “Harrington!!!”

“So listen um.. Robin just called me and said she wasn’t coming to work tomorrow so we will have to spilt her shift” he said softly.

“Oh..Is she okay?” you ask, “Yeah she’s fine she just has some stuff to take care of..”

“Oh okay, hey guess what!!! I found our yearbook from junior year!!” you said,”Oh noooo don’t remind me of that year!!” he said as he chuckled. “Oh my god why did I look that this? I was so ugly!” you say as you look at yourself.

“Nooo you were beautiful!! You still are..” he said, you smiled as you blushed slightly.

It was silent for about a minute, you hear Steve clear his throat on the other side of the phone.

“Anyways..junior year probably my worst year..”Steve said, “Why’s that?” you ask softly.

“Well is was the year that you dated Tommy’s friend Jack..You spent so much time with him and I just felt like we were drifting apart...” Steve said

“Is it just me or did I just hear Steve “the hair”Harrington admit that he was jealous of Jack my boyfriend from junior year?!” you say.

“Yeah you did..I hated that guy he treated you so bad y/n... you deserve so much better than that douche bag seriously..” he said.

You chuckled softly,”Y-yeah i know that’s why I ended it..and because I realized that I had feelings for someone else. Someone who actually treats me good and makes me laugh when im upset and tells me im beautiful when im feeling ugly..J-just an overall good guy” you say.

Steve smiled, it was silent again to where all you could hear is each others breathing.

“Steve-“ You say as you get cut off by your mom entering your room and telling you goodnight.

“Goodnight” you say not excepting Steve to hear but as you open your mouth to talk Steve says,”Yeah it’s getting late we should probably go to sleep”

“Oh..y-yeah you’re probably right we should..”

“goodnight y/n i’ll see you tomorrow”

“night Steve...” you say softly as you hang up the phone.

You sigh as you lay down on your pillow, “Gosh your so stupid...he doesn’t like you why would someone like him be into you??” you say to yourself.

You then look at Steve’s picture in the yearbook that you had beside you, you chuckle as you close it.

you lay back down on your bed and turned off your lamp as you drift asleep.

As your alarm clock rang you woke up to a wave of tiredness, all throughout the night you had tossed and turned considering all you were thinking about was what you had said to Steve.

You get up out of bed and took a shower, as the warm water hit your skin it definitely calmed down your nerves.

As you got out you quickly wrap a towel around you and went to put on your ‘scoops ahoy’ uniform, you absolutely hated it but Steve thought you looked adorable in it.

You then quickly did your hair and makeup and made your way downstairs where you were greeted by your mom, “Oh mom im going to be late tonight again so don’t wait up for me okay?” you say.

“Okay honey have a good day i love you!!” she yells as she cleans the kitchen,”Love you too!!” you say back.

You then walk to your car, as you start to drive to the mall the butterflies in your stomach started to flutter, “I really hope Steve doesn’t bring our conversation from last night” you say to yourself, with Robin gone also there is going to be no way to avoid Steve if he wants to talk about last night.

As you arrive at the mall you walk into scoops, you get everything situated for the customers. You expect Steve to walk in any minute now but he was late, like really late..like 2 hours late, you hoped that what you said to him last night wasn’t to much for him.

Your thoughts started to weigh in, “Did i really just ruin my friendship with my best friend?” you asked yourself.

Since business was actually pretty slow so you decided to tidy things up around the shop it also was an opportunity to take your mind off of the situation.

You started with the tables you wiped them down with a warm wet rag, then your scooper, since Steve nor Robin was not here there was no reason for you to clean them.

You then looked behind you the cups were so unorganized so you started to tidy those up, as you were fixing them you hear the bell ring.

You sigh and turn around to see Steve with a bouquet of flowers and a note, “Steve!! W-whats this?” you ask.

Steve chuckled and handed you the flowers and note, “Just read this..” he said softly.

As you carefully take the note off of the bouquet you start to read it.. ‘y/n ever since i met you i automatically fell in love with you, you made me into the man i am today and if it weren’t for you i would be totally lost. i just can’t believe that it took me this long to say admit this to you..i love you y/n and i promise i will never leave you’

You look up at Steve and smile, “Hiding my feelings from you was probably the hardest thing I have had to in my entire life, i love you y/n i always have and i always will” he says.

You come from behind the counter and walk up to Steve, you stand on your tippy toes and put your arms around his neck.

He bends down and you kiss him softly on his lips,”I love you too Harrington ..” you whisper. You feel Steve smile against your lips as he kisses you again, you pull away as he grabs your waist.

“So what do you say tomorrow we go see a movie and then dinner?” he asks looking down into your eyes, “It’s a date stevie!!” you say as you place another kiss on his lips.

You then hear the kids including Robin clap and cheer,”Finally!!!” Mike says, “He found his Suzie!!!” Dustin says as he smiles at Steve.

You and Steve look at them and laugh, “Well anyone want ice cream?!” you say. This kids say “me” in unison you laugh,Steve then kisses you on the cheek as you serve the kids their ice cream.

(pt.1)

𝘱𝘭𝘰𝘵- you and steve have always been really good friends even in highschool, this also means that you and the kids are also really close especially with Max and El. The kids always teased you and steve saying “Just go out already!!!” and “You guys obviously love each other” little did you know though that steve had feelings for you ever since he met you. he finally got tired of hiding his feelings asked you out on a date..

It was a rainy friday night, you and Steve were at the wheelers house in the basement, watching a movie as the boys played d&d and Max and El were reading magazines.

“Come on it’s the thessalhydra!!!!! Fireball him now!!!!!”

Lucas screams, “No play it safe,cast protection” Dustin protests. “Nooo don’t be a pussy fireball the son of a bitch!!!!” Lucas says.

“Hey can you shitheads keep it quiet over there?! Me and y/n are trying to watch a movie here!!!!!” Steve says as he looks over to the table of boys.

“Sorry didn’t mean to ruin yalls date!!!!” Mike teases.

Your face turns a light pink, you look at Steve he rolls his eyes,annoyed.

You hear little giggles coming from all of the kids, you then throw a pillow at the back of Mike’s head which caused a roar of laughter coming from everyone.

Mike turns around and glares at you, you then wink at Steve as he smiled softly.

After the movie you looked at the time,”Shit I have to go!!” you say as you get up to hug everyone goodbye.

Of course El and Max were the first ones to give you a hug, they loved you so much, you were much like an older sister to both of them and you loved every second that you were with them.

Then it was the boys turn their hugs were so awkward it was the funniest/cutest thing ever.

You then look at Steve, “Um I’ll see you at work tomorrow!!” you say.

“Well what about my hug? What the hell am I chopped liver?” he jokes, you let out a chuckle. You went up to him and gave him a hug, because of the height difference he bent down a little so you could wrap your arms around his neck, even on your tippy toes he would still have to bend down.

As you two hugged the party looked at each other as they giggled and smiled, you pull away from Steve.

“Bye Harrington!!” you then walked up the stairs.

You hear rushed footsteps behind you so you turn around to see Steve running after you, “I-i should probably walk you out it’s storming plus it’s dark don’t want you to get hurt or like kidnapped or something you know” he says as he runs his hands through his messy hair.

You smiled at him, “How thoughtful of you Stevie thanks!” you say.

As Steve walks you to your car and opens the door for you, you look at him and smile.”Thanks again for walking me to my car Harrington” you say.

“Hey anytime you know that..” he says as he looks at you.

You take this opportunity to give a warm kiss on the cheek,”I’ll see you tomorrow” you say as you get in your car and drive home. On the way home you kept replaying what just happened over and over in your head.

As you drived off Steve literally could not stop smiling, he walked back into the wheelers basement with a huge smile on his face.

“Um are you okay?? Why are you so happy?” Max asks.

“Yeah why are you so happy? Your girlfriend just left shouldn’t you be like depressed right now?” Dustin stated.

Steve goes up to him and puts him into a playful headlock as he gives him a noogie on the top of his head.

“You thank your funny huh Henderson??” he says, as Dustin tries to get out of Steve’s grip he accidentally trips and ruins the party’s campaign.

Steve lets go of Dustin and the rest of the boys look at him in disbelief,”Are you kidding me??? We were almost done!!!!” Lucas says.

“Guys I am so sorry I promise I will make it up to you!!!” he said feeling sympathetic.

Lucas looks around and then gets a wide grin on his face,”You can make it up to us now dusty bun!!!!” he teases.

Everyone smiled and then started to laugh,”Okay you know what screw you guys!!!” Dustin says.

“Turn around,look at what you seeeee....” The party sings.

“Come on dusty bunn pleaseeee” Max says.

“In her face, the mirror of her dreams!!!!” They continue.

Dustin grabs his backpack and says “That’s it I’m leaving goodbye!!!!!”

“I thought you had to sleep here since your mom went out of town” Mike yells.

Dustin stopped in his tracks after hearing Mike’s words,

“Well shit” he says as he takes off his backpack and throws it back on the couch.

In return he gets a pillow and starts a pillow fight with the rest of the party.

The boys all ganged up on each other as El and Max stayed back, Max rolled her eyes and looked at El, “Boys am I right?” El laughed.

“Yeah boys..” she said as she looked at them with their pillow fight.

Steve stops as he hears his alarm coming from his watch, this indicated that he needed to take El and Max home.

“Hey girls it’s time to go!!” He says as the boys stop with the pillow fight.”Can we go???” Dustin asked.

“Yeah pleaseeee” Will added.

“Fine yes but you shitheads better put your seatbelts on!! You hear me???” Steve yelled.

Everyone piled into Steve’s car,”Shotgun!!!” Dustin screams. Everyone groans in return.

Steve started up the car and drove off, “Steve...” El says. “Yeah what’s up?” he says looking at El through the mirror.

“Have you ever been in love?” she asks, Steve was totally taken aback when he heard El ask this but he knew he had to answer her.

“Of course i’ve have” he said,”With who? Y/n??” she asks.

This caused Steve to choke on his spit a little, everyone looked at him wanting an answer,”Um no no not with y/n with Mike’s sister Nancy...” he says.

“Come on man seriously!!!” Mike said.

“So you and y/n you’re just friends??” El asks, “Yep just friends, have been for a long time!!” Steve says.

“Well don’t you have just a little bit of feelings for her? I mean she’s soo pretty and she makes you laugh so much I think you two would make a very cute couple right?” Max says. Everyone shook their head in agreement.

Steve chuckled a bit, as he thought of how much you really did make him laugh and how every time you guys would talk he would just get completely lost in your eyes, you thought he just zoning you out but really he was analyzing how beautiful you were.

“Y-yeah..” Steve stutters out Max and El looked at each other and laughed.

As Steve dropped both of them off,he took the boys back to the wheelers. Bye shitheads see you tomorrow!!” He yells.

Dustin hangs back for a bit as the other boys walk in the house he looks at Steve, “Just ask her out man, it’s not like she’s going to say no.. she’s your suzie dude!!” Dustin says.

“Yeah okay Henderson go inside before the group notices your gone..” Steve says.

Dustin gets out of the car and bends down to look at Steve through his window,”Seriously man ask her out..” he says.

~steve loves how funny you are, when he’s having a tough day at scoops he knows that you can make his mood so much better by telling him something funny that happened to you that day or even the conversation that you two will have (every conversation with steve ends up with you two laughing)

~you and him are so cUtE you both have polaroids of each other somewhere, he has your polaroid in his sun visor in his car so when he checks his hair in the mirror (which is quite often) your picture is right there [OOF MY HEART!!!]

~you have his polaroid in a frame by your bed so when he’s not there to cuddle you or just even be there with you when you fall asleep that picture makes you feel better

~NIGHTS WITH STEVE!!!!

~there’s no question about it steve loves to cuddle he’s basically a teddy bear

~he loves to play with your hair (it even helps you fall asleep)

~this is steve’s favorite part of the day, in bed with you either cuddling or you know doin something else *cough cough🥴* aNyWaYs

~the way steve looks at you is so fudging cute and the little stares at you when you aren’t even paying attention

~bubbs loves to make you laugh, he thinks your laugh is so cute it makes his day a whole lot better like seriously

~oof when steve sees you sad or just not yourself he goes all you first,he takes the day off from his job at scoops and tends to your every need

~then he buys you your favorite candy, and brings you all of your favorite things. he then makes a comfy space for you on the couch where your most likely going to be spending the rest of the day with pillows and blankets

~he is by your side through the entire day, watching your favorite movies and shows even watching the ones that he isn’t a big fan of!!

~anyways you and steve are perfect!! the love between you and him is unbelievable!! everyone wIshEs they had yalls relationship [lmaoo jk (but no fr)]
