Review: Irresistible Me Hair Extensions Silky Touch

I’ve always admired girls who had long, effortless soft waves, and no matter how many different ways I’ve tried curling my hair and all the different curling tools I spent my money on, my hair just wouldn’t hold curls well. So I pretty much thought there was no way I’d achieve that hairstyle, until Irresistible me contacted me and offered me a chance to try out their hair extensions. Finally at last I can have long, effortless hair I’ve always wanted!

I browsed their online store and different ranges, and I was so excited to try out my very first hair extensions. Initially I was a bit indecisive of what extensions I wanted to try out, but after emailing Adriana from Irresistible me back and forth, she offered me so much help and basically guided me to choosing the right extensions by showing me informative pictures and videos.

Some of the ranges on offer are Silky Touch, Volume Vixen and Royal Remy. You’re pretty much spoilt for choice, and you can even find affordable hair extensions from Irresistible me, which is great if you aren’t willing to fork out a lot of money yet. Their clip in extensions comes in ten pieces (if you choose the 200g option like I did), and there are varying lengths (14”, 16”, 18”, 20”, 22”) and 24” and varying weights (100 grams, 140 grams and 200 grams). I settled for one of their bestsellers; Silky Touch in Chocolate Brown (#2), 22 inches and 200g ($199).

So why use clip-in hair extensions? Well, there are many advantages of using hair extensions. If you have short hair, you can add in hair extensions for longer and natural looking hair. To be honest, I’d much rather use hair extensions than let my hair grow out really long (my hair grows at a slow rate anyway so I’m not sure if that’s even possible). I feel like hair extensions are easier to look after than long hair, I always get annoyed when my hair gets a bit long, especially during the summer time as my hair is thick. It is a waste of a lot of shampoo and conditioner. If you have thin hair, hair extensions will add thickness, and styling your hair (e.g. loose curls, bouncy waves) typically looks nicer when you’re hair has more volume and length.

The shipping was faster than I expected, I think it took less than one week. If you’re planning to purchase products from them, international shipping is free over $150, which is a big plus! The box was slightly indented when it came, but everything else was well packaged and in perfect condition so that didn’t bother me at all! I’m a sucker for nice packaging, and the box the extensions came in was so pretty.

If you bought hair extensions from Irresistible me, and ordered the wrong colour, there is a separate compartment in the packaging, which contains a weft of hair. You can try the colour, and if it doesn’t match your original hair colour you can simply exchange it for free! (Returns are also free as well). I think it’s such a clever idea and it gives their customers the confidence in purchasing hair extensions online. The last thing anyone wants is to spend hundreds on hair extensions and find out you can’t return it. Luckily I chose the perfect colour of hair extensions, which blends with my original hair colour so well!

Once I took the hair extensions out of the packaging I was surprised at how much hair there was. I didn’t end up using all of it (I think I left out two). It comes in a variety of wefts in different sizes, such as 4 weft clip, 3 weft clip, 2 weft clip and 1 weft clip. I just parted my hair, from the top and put in the thickest extension and repeated the process with the other clips. When I was done putting the extensions in, the thickness of the hair decreases at the end, so it looked super natural as if it was my real hair!

The clips are so easy to use, and are durable and of high quality. They blend in seamlessly with my hair colour so you wouldn’t even know it’s there, and it feels very secure once clipped it. It’s pretty straightforward and simple to put it on, and take less time than curling and straightening your hair. The hair itself is so silky and smooth (just as its name suggests). Since it’s made from human hair you can style it using heat tools, you can wash it, dye it, cut it. I used my GHD straightener to curl the hair extensions (I didn’t use any hairspray), it was easy and the curls held together really well!

I’m not even exaggerating, but I really love these hair extensions and how they look on me! It’s so gorgeous, so natural and so easy to use and style. I seriously underestimated how thicker and longer hair could change my overall look, but in my opinion I prefer how I look with longer hair! I’m so pleased with how it turned out, and it exceeded my expectations. If I knew extensions would make such a difference I would’ve tried it out ages ago. With Irresistible me’s excellent quality and service, I will definitely not hesitate at all to try out other products from their brand!
