I've got all these adults going on to me like "you're so responsible" "you've got so much grit" "you're gonna do well for yourself" "you've got your priorities down great" and honestly I don't but it's So much better than a few months ago when my step-dad kept going on like "you're gonna be a failure" "you've got nothing ahead of you" "you're an asshole" "you don't know anything" and honestly? I'm gonna say it! Environment is really great and even though I still have zero motivation most of the time, I've got people pushing me and encouraging me and it's So much better than what it used to be.

A person who knows my name and I would consider a friendly acquaintance for like over a year probably approached me the other day and was like "do you know my name, aryn?"

I wanted to say yes, but then she would ask, and I had no evidence of knowing her name. Like literally nothing. She looks like an Emily but I know that it's not her name. So obviously, the only appropriate way to reply is behind honest.

"Not in the absolute slightest, no."

She then proceeded to not tell me her name so I asked someone else that was also in the area who witnessed the fiasco (and who's name I probably also do not know even though I would consider her an active friend to at least Some degree) and anyway now I know her name.
