The Issey Miyake Twelve line of watches by Naoto Fukasawa is one of my personal favorites. In order to create a product this clean, one must have a fundamental understanding of the product's purpose. Traditionally, the markings on a watch face serve to indicate the hour of time. In order to achieve an ultra simple look, Mr. Fukasawa replaced the markings with a watch case made out of twelve sides. The twelve angles on the watch case serve as the hour markers. The result is a simple watch with sharp face distinguished by a unique angular face.
