It’s weird to see my old thoughts and old expectations, in tags for posts I queued while I was still a student. I probably thought i’d have a salaried or living wage job by now. I didn’t know that a pandemic would put my life progress on hold for a year. I didn’t have any plans to get lowkey jacked. I probably thought I’d be pushing my pottery harder on social media. But you know what? I’m not even gonna post a picture of my recent work. -Or my pasty trapezius muscles-

March of Robot doodles from my Instagram. It’s been a while since I did much 2D for fun, especially in physical media.

Subjects are (left to right, top to bottom): K2SO (Rogue One), Zenyatta (Overwatch), Canti (FLCL), Baymax (Big Hero 6), and Tachikoma (Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex). Some of these I treated less as doodles than others. Sometimes something starts as a doodle, and bam, 5 hours are gone. Anything on paper smaller than 18x24, that I spend less than a day on still feels like a doodle, though.

I’ve been posting March of Robots sketches on my instagram, and doing stories with the progress shots. I dunno if there’s much demand for that here, though.

I’ve been at home, sick, so I found time to draw today’s mood.

Man, the difference between posting stuff on here and on instagram is crazy. I guess this isn't a great platform for reaching new people, but it has advantages for people who have a bit of an audience already (reblogs) Maybe the trick is cross-promotion. I think I should really dive back into 2D art when I have more free time, or even before then. Probably before then, or it'll never happen at all.
