((Sorry for the lack of replies lately everyone. I've sort of been caught up in starting to look at Universities, and I've not so much as lost my muse, but other muses of mine are more prominent?
I've actually got another RP blog that I've just started/am still preparing, and although it's not a TWEWY one (if anyone is wondering it's Gundam Tanaka from Super Dangan Ronpa 2) if anyone would like to follow me and RP there just drop me an ask and I'll tell you what the blog is~ You'll likely find me there rather than here for a while. Sometimes I just need some variation. I don't plan at all to drop Kariya, it merely might take me a while to flip back to him again.))

"Koki~ It looks like you're 'alive' again, hehe! How are you?"
“Play nice now Koko. I’m doin’ a’ight I guess. Swamped with work lately though, I don’t see why someone else couldn’t have handled it. If things hadn’t quieted down I’d have lost my mind. How ‘bout you?”

Blinking in bewilderment, Kariya tried to keep track of the phone booth's words. "LARP'ing? Well can't say I've heard that comparison before... And anyway technically we don't kill anyone. Like I said they're already dead. For something that's basically a glorified microphone and speaker, you don't listen too well." He couldn't help but laugh, and there was him thinking that this whole situation couldn't get anymore amusing. Raising an eyebrow, he almost yelped hearing about the spilled food. "Someone... someone wasted ramen like that? A'ight that ain't good. And yeah, I eat ramen a lot. Nothin' like it. The taste is always unique yet satisfying, despite there being so many different types." Realising he'd gone off on a tangent, he shook his head. "Yeah, I didn't expect you to have eaten it. Or eaten anything to be honest, even if you're a magical talking phone booth."
“Huh. That’s weird. Sounds kinda like some LARP thing. Only not. Kinda cool, in a ‘rawr, we’re gonna kill you’ way. Which is an odd way, but.” The phone booth commented. “Yeah, I’ve heard loads about ramen. I just don’t know if I’ve ever seen it.” It thought for a bit. “You know, I think someone brought some noodles by one day. Spilled them all over the place. Guess that’s what ramen looks like.” That had been rude. You don’t just visit a public phone booth and spill your ramen everywhere. “So! You eat ramen a lot? What’s it taste like? I don’t really have a mouth, so I’ve kinda never had it. You’d think that’d be obvious, but who knows? I’m a talking phone booth.” Didn’t it leave a word out? That was it. “I’m a magical talking phone booth.”
#thephoneboothoflove#Ah but it is difficult to be active all of the time!#No worries I was just being nosy :')#And also my apologies for taking so long to reply!

"And if they have enough points to happily sit in a position where they're content, well they'll do just that." Kariya fought to keep his tone from becoming poisonous, struggling to bite back his tongue. As far as he knew, he wasn't especially at risk of being erased from a lack of points at this moment in time... he must have been okay in that aspect if he was up for a promotion. In an effort to remain calm he concentrated his gaze on a nearby wall, trying to not let this bother him. Usually he was so collected... "I like the field work." He stated plainly, flicking his hand to emphasize his words. "Walking the streets of Shibuya is what I do. Takin' up an Officer rank wouldn't let me be out and about as much as I'd like to be. Besides, all that additional workload? No thanks."
Beanpastereaper started following you
“A Reaper is expected to erase Players and gain points. When they have enough points for promotion, they are expected to accept it. If they have too few points, they will be erased. You should know this, Kariya,” Megumi said while smirking. Kariya seemed to be growing quite impatient. “Most Reapers are eager to have more power. What exactly do you enjoy so much about your current position?” He certainly felt strongly about his job. It seemed like it would take quite a bit of work to get Kariya to accept a promotion, which he had been expecting. What Megumi hadn’t expected is that he would feel so passionate about his current work. “How would having a higher rank not benefit you? More freedoms, more opportunity to benefit Shibuya… Hardly anyone is content to stay a Harrier.”

The Reaper scratched at the back of his neck as he tried to mask his anxiety, nodding a little as the phoenix explained another of her abilities. Well, at least he now knew that he that he hadn’t lost his composure- one of the things he silently took pride in was his unreadable poker face. So, this new found knowledge did ease some of his worries. At least he wasn’t losing his mind. “So you can basically feel what others can? Ain’t that like being empathic?” He’d heard the word a few times, mostly in a supernatural context and wondered if this rang true with the other’s abilities. Hearing her question he paused for a few seconds, pulling down his parka a little as he stayed silent. Slightly embarrassed at having his passion noted, and thrown off by the inquiry (it wasn’t often that people asked about his personal life- however he was expecting it to crop up at some point), “Well, as far as I know I’ve been in Shibuya all my life. But to be honest with you, it was so long ago that I can’t even remember stuff like that properly. ” He sighed before adding. “And no worries about mentionin’ me being dead. Nothin’ I can do about it, right? So it is what it is.” Trying to reassure her that it was alright, he added a signature shrug to the end of the statement. “Fascinating…” Musing to himself, he continued. “That’s pretty lucky- and very useful.” It did mean that there’d likely be no trouble for him if he left- after all losing years wasn’t exactly something that appealed to him.
For Kariya, the questions didn’t annoy him, but more so intrigued him. It was refreshing to see someone take an interest in his surroundings, making his adoration for his home grow stronger. At the same time he was also able to indulge his own curiosity, and broaden his own ideas of the world, and other worlds around him. If it wasn’t for this chance encounter it was likely that he’d have remained oblivious to the existence of such creatures and other places. This new knowledge coupled with her pleasant company was why he began to count her as a friend- although he’d certainly still have to be careful around his superiors, he’d likely be in trouble if they found out how much he’d told her. Not that it would stop him anyway. “Of sorts.” He laughed. “They’re like, well buttons? Badges? I guess. They’re what enables certain abilities in the UG. We have kepins which allow us access to places Players can't get through. Then there are Pins that can summon ice, cause a fire, create seismic waves through yellin'. Possibilities are endless. I'm not completely sure on how they work though, Reapers at my rank don't get told much." For a moment he considered showing her his keypin to demonstrate, but decided against it. It wouldn’t be good if he managed to lose it especially after giving it away during the Long game. He didn't feel like being lectured about the importance of keeping an eye on his possessions again. "It’s kind of like magic if it’s easier to see it that way.” A few more stray chuckles left him as the phoenix continued to blush. “No problem Blues, we’ve all got things we’re protective over. It’s a sign of passion 'n devotion".
“I guess it must sound like a burden to people who ain’t in our ranks. But really I’m just doing what I can to survive- takin’ on this job was really all I could do…” Sure he had other options back when he himself had taken part in a Game, yet becoming a Reaper seemed to be his only real choice. “It is pretty interesting.” He concurred with a nod, head moving into a tilt as he listened to the other speak. “So the abilities of a phoenix can be induced through songs? You’ve gotta be a good singer then, and like I said. If you’re offering, I’ll gladly listen.” Although serious for that moment, as soon as she asked if he sang he couldn’t help but laugh. “I sing if you want your ears to bleed.” Honestly, he’d never actually thought about singing in front of people, of course he would sometimes when left to his own devices- but it wasn’t like he was any good at it. “If you’re lookin’ for singing talent in these parts, you might want to talk to 777…” It barely crossed his mind that she wouldn’t actually know who he was talking about- the singer's indie band was a rising star in Shibuya. His expression briefly flickering to a more darker state, he sighed. “It’s not quite the same sort of game. The brass were literally gambling with this city and the lives in it. So they used that long Game I’ve told you about to try and decide who won their little bet."
Patiently the orange haired male listened, occasionally tapping the rim of his glasses with his fingers as he thought. “Not really surprisin’ that we don't know the whole story. After all, how can we know about that which we’re not familiar with? But... hey... maybe the vampires in this place are different from yours?" This entire topic truly fascinated him. Scratching his arm as his mind wandered off contemplating this knowledge, it was a minute or two before he added. "Strict hierarchy? In that aspect they kind of sound like the higher ups around here." He chuckled a little. Hearing that the girl was set in her view, he shook his head to disguise the embarrassment of someone thinking he was actually strong. It was one thing being hounded by your boss because you had potential that you didn't especially feel like embracing, but another receiving what seemed like genuine compliments from someone you haven't known for a especially long time. Anyone would be at least a little disorientated. "Whatever you want to believe." Kariya added, voice characteristically unfazed. Although bewilderment did creep into his tone when she said she wanted to see him fight. Raising an eyebrow he stopped in his tracks for a moment. "That'd be pretty dangerous. And I ain't the sort of guy that gets into a fight unless I absolutely have no choice in the matter. Too much effort you see." Regaining his pace he cast a glance back at the other. "'Sides. I think I've said before that I'm no use unless we're in the UG. But who knows? Maybe somethin' will happen." Although averse to the idea of battle, it was intriguing to see someone want to see him fight. As food was brought to the forefront of the conversation again, he found that he wasn't surprised. Somehow seafood and candy seemed to be exactly the sorts of foods that this girl would like. "You might enjoy the Shio Ramen then. It's not seafood, but it's light n' the broth's kinda salty. It's a dish most people can get along with. Although the Shoyu Ramen is pretty good too..." All this talk of food was going to make him drool. Even his stomach growled in anticipation... The restaurant should be just up the street now... He thought, trying to suppress the urge to speed up his pace so Seyren could still keep up. "Can't say I've actually tried lobster myself before, what's it taste like?"
Amber hues couldn’t help but keep on the male’s expression as her head tilted in the slightest, a little confused if it was something she said that made him emit the slight air of nervousness. It was her gift in sensing people’s emotions, though, as she couldn’t help to control this little gift so much as they just being transferred to her, other’s emotions and feelings. It wasn’t like she could read someone’s thoughts, of course, but it was useful for someone who’s very innocent and naive as the azure phoenix, as it enabled her to sense if the one she was conversing with held any hint of ill-intention or malice in hurting her. She had always been someone who’s very trusting and naive, after all, that would pose a problem if she couldn’t tell if another was out to hurt her or not. Her reverie was cut short when the male mentioned if his emotions were clearly shown upon his expression, and the phoenix shook her head with a small smile. “Ah.. No no- It’s not. You didn’t show your worry on your face at all, actually. It’s just that I can sense people’s emotions.” The little birdie admitted truthfully, knowing that there wasn’t any point in hiding anything from him anymore. She knew that she could trust Kariya and she really enjoyed talking to him. She had already told him so many things about herself, after all, so this was just a minor addition to it. “It’s amazing how you love this place~ Do you always live here? Like.. I mean, you were born and grew up here? Before you… you know.. lost your life.” The girl was being careful with her words, though at the question, she paused for a moment. “Actually yes, yeas could pass when you’re in another world than your original. But you have nothing to worry about that. It’s privilege of being a guardian, we can tell the flow of time and alter our ‘landing’ accordingly to the certain point in time.”
She was beginning to relax under his presence more and more, finding it to be very enjoyable when the conversation could span from her own world to his world as well. The phoenix had very limited interactions with other people, after all. The fact that he didn’t seem to be bothered by her (sometimes overly) inquisitive nature was actually a plus point here that actually made the guardian less averse in asking him questions. She knew that being asked about things could be annoying for some people that have to explain so many aspects of livings and their worlds to her. So for her to be able to find someone she could talk to openly and not being judged even when he knew she wasn’t human was really refreshing. She had already considered the orange-haired to be someone important to her. An important friend, one could say that, and for the phoenix, if she already considers a person to be important, that person would always remain important and she would protect them with all her power. (Not that she thought he would need any protection from her, of course, he seemed to be able to take care of himself just fine.) “Pins?” Her head tilted to the side, already painted with curiosity. “Is it like.. a gemstone or something? One you use to cast a magic?” She blinked, only for her face to go back into deep dark blush when he was laughing rather in amusement. “A-Ah..— I-I didn’t realize— I-I’m usually a little over excited or over-protective when it comes to him.” Well, surely the male hit the point there in teasing her. If anyone wants to make the little guardian flustered, a mention or a tease about her beloved is the way to go.

Ah.. It seemed that the male wasn’t one that was used to compliment, not that she thought it was weird or anything. The phoenix herself didn’t know how to take a compliment proper either, but she was someone who would always speak her mind and she really didn’t know how to lie. Her head shook to his words again, insisting on her sentence earlier. “I’m not, really! You have the responsibility of giving a ‘chance’ for people to live once again, I think that is something significant, something very important and… it would put a lot of pressure on you making decisions too. I don’t think I could ever do that, be the one who decides fate for another or have anything to do with it, or even altering it.” She heaved out a small sigh, knowing that with her soft nature, she wouldn’t be able to take an order to make sure a ‘Player’ would ‘fail.’ It was just impossible for her. “It’s interesting though.. The concept of this world and how it relates to music..” She mulled over the thoughts, wondering if the one behind this ‘system’ has a specific penchant for music and sounds. Her head then nodded with a grin to his question. “Mmhm! Us phoenixes love to sing, actually. Fire phoenix’s songs have an effect to enhance bravery so they usually sing before the time of war or a battle. But I’m an aqua phoenix, so my songs are usually for ‘healing’ and have a ‘soothing’ effect to the mind. I love singing, though. I’d love to sing for you anytime.” Her smile widened. “Do you sing too, Kariya?” Head tilting with a call of his name before she blinked a little, seeing how he was rather cautious about the current conversation regarding this particular topic. “Uwa… that sounds like a pretty big deal.. And even the one in the system could have a ‘game’ as well? I thought it was for those who lost their lives? You guys could conduct a ‘game’ too?”
She couldn’t help but laugh a little when he wondered out loud about how there were so much more than the legend, making her let loose a small hint of giggle. “Actually, there are ‘myths’ that is not true too. Like how vampires couldn’t go out in the sun, right? In my world, vampires prefer nighttime and full moon more, that’s a given, but they can still be under sunlight just fine.” She nodded to his words again. “Yes yes. Vampires have very strict hierarchy and rules regarding statuses and races. They don’t really concern themselves with humans so much, since they.. well.. consider themselves to be a higher race. Something like that.” The girl couldn’t help but laugh at his words when he mentioned how he wasn’t strong, though she was rather adamant on that. “Mm… I’m sure my judgment is sound though!” She pouted a little like a child, though it showed just how comfortable she was with the male to actually show this immature side of her. “I’m sure you’re very strong under your ‘duty.’ I’d love to see how you fight though.. but that’s going to be difficult..” She mulled over her thoughts a little, unaware that she let it slip in a form of utterance already. And surely, the little birdie was grinning happily seeing how the Reaper didn’t mind her holding onto his shirt like that. Her smile widened as she felt him slowing his pace so she could catch up. Toddling after him obediently, his question really took her attention and the girl actually forgot the discomfort from the crowds for the moment. “I love seafood!” The bluenette piped up immediately, those eyes instinctively sparkled when she talked about the food she loves, expression lit up childishly when it comes to food. Staying true to her nature, this little blue bird. “Crabs and lobsters are my favorite! I could eat lotsss of them. And sweets too.” Certainly a child if it pertains food, this one.

End of Hiatus~!
I'm finally back! First of all, my apologies to absolutely everyone for being away for so long, but it's really good to be back. I'm going to get to working through all of the replies that I owe people (once more I am so sorry), although I likely won't get to posting anything properly until tomorrow since I'm pretty tired.
But hey. It's so nice to be back, I've really missed this place.
My muse is back, and I'm feeling really positive at the moment! I do hope everyone is doing well too~

Semi Hiatus
((Alright, to put things simply, I can't really deal with this blog at this moment in time, so I'm going to be quite inactive for a while.
Firstly, I've got some very important exams coming up soon. So really have to get some revision and work done but I keep finding myself becoming distracted- which really isn't good when I'm aiming for top grades. There's also a lot of work I have to do in preparation for the said exams, and I need to get it all done. Frankly at this moment in time, it's difficult to cope with the work I've got to finish, and I'm losing the will to do it all as it is.
Currently, I'm also very, very stressed. I don't feel like going into the details, but there are some personal issues that I'm trying to sort out at the moment- and it's left me feeling quite down. I've lost the drive to do the things I love and I absolutely cannot get my thoughts straight. This sort of thing obviously impairs my writing- so I don't want to let anyone down with my responses.
I'm also losing faith in my ability to roleplay, I just don't feel that I'm doing very well with Kariya. I'd much rather feel slightly confident that I can give decent replies to everyone, than simply respond with something I'm not happy with. Thus, I need a little break, so I can get into sync with my muse again.
The reason this is a semi-hiatus is that I may very well jump online every now and then and get to responding to what I need to, if I can. But for the next month and a bit I've got so much to contend with, so I don't know how that will turn out.
I'm really sorry to everyone, and to all those I'm currently roleplaying with, I hope it's okay if I take a while to respond. I'd hoped to have kept up with this blog, yet things aren't working in my favour. I didn't especially want to take a break, but seeing as I haven't posted in nearly a week (which I can't apologise enough for), I decided that this was the best course of action.
But I'm still incredibly sorry, and hope this isn't too much of a bother for you all... ))

Kariya shook his head, unsure of how to respond. Tapping his foot against the ground a few times, he finally spoke. "Well, what exactly defines normal expectations anyway?" The way he saw it, it was everyone else's problem if they wanted to be promoted. They were the abnormal ones. He tilted his head back a little, sighing as Megumi continued to speak. "Look. I don't see any point in risin' to a job where I'm gonna be bored senseless- especially if I'm going to get nothin' out of it. There's no point movin' up!" Starting to get a little irritated, he quickly masked it and composed his tone. "I'd rather be happy where I am now, then move on to a job which isn't gonna benefit me."
Beanpastereaper started following you
“Strange. Unusual. Odd. Unlike most Reapers. You don’t seem to fit normal expectations, Kariya.” He had no desire for a promotion, and wasn’t working toward anything much in particular. “Unfortunately for you, promotions are essential for the proper working of the Game. There’s wasted potential simply because you could do much more, if you put any effort forth. It exists simply because you are, as you put it, shooting for nothing.”

Kariya tried to contain his laughter. A few stray chuckles left him as he attempted to remain composed. "A gang? Really?" The Reaper shook his head. "Nope. Wrong answer. It's a Game where people essentially fight for another chance at life- no gangs involved. And yep, we're all dead, there's lots of rules, and even I don't know everythin' about it." Pausing he scratched the back of his neck. How could he explain Uzuki...? "Girl's kinda hot headed. Work obsessed too. But she's a good friend." He shrugged. "And you don't know what a ramen shop is? It's a shop. That sells ramen. Y'know the noodles in a broth?" Waving his hands about a little as he explained, he cut himself off there, not willing to expand his explanations unless asked to. Still, he couldn't help but quietly think to himself. Well. This booth has a bit of an attitude...'least it seems friendly enough now.
“Oh, so that’s why all these people called Reapers were talking about erasing Players and points and stuff. I thought it was some kinda weird gang shenanigans.” Wait a minute, did he say he was dead? “And you’re all dead? Your game isn’t some sorta underworld gang, is it? That’d be weird. But cool. You don’t rob shops or anything, do you? This game has rules, right? What’s Uzuki like? I’ve heard loads about ramen shops, but what is it even? Everyone seems to already know, so I didn’t get much chance to figure it out.” It realized how many questions it had asked. “Sorry for asking so much.” A dramatic pause for timing. “But it’s your fault for ‘disproving’ my plan.”
#thephoneboothoflove#Wow 20 is still pretty good!#What're your other accounts? If you don't mind me asking.#Yeah I wouldn't really be able to cope with the extra blog dealing with two is difficult enough already xD

Not catching the glance that Joshua gave him, Kariya kept his gaze trailed on the buildings of Shibuya as he spoke. "I don't know, you could've been. Who knows what goes on inside that head?" He chuckled lightly, moving ever so slightly to look at the other. "But on second thoughts, I don't want to know." Waving one hand in the air (the other preoccupied with keeping his balance) he rapidly waved away the idea. There was no doubt in his mind that being inside that kids mind would be one of the least pleasant experiences of his life.
"I hear you there. This place...nothin' seems to be calming it down. Much as it's a pain, I'm kinda worried." An anxious edge tainted his tone. Falling silent, the Reaper contemplated the other's words. He knew the teenager could see into the UG, well, that's what he was told. Yet how could he be looking for peace in a place he shouldn't even be in anymore? Scowling he laid his head back down against the building. "You ain't what you seem, are you kid...?" The question slipped past his lips before he had time to contain it.
@Fruit-Joshua
Joshua smiled, eyes narrowing as he gave the reaper a side glace giving him an almost dangerous look. Kariya was a little too lax around him but he was obviously curious, and his reasoning made sense. Of course Joshua knew this already. He reached up, pushing away from of his hair only to have it fall back into place.
“Well I wasn’t exactly looking for you now was I?” Joshua responded with a smile, “I was probably doing the same thing you were, trying to look for some peace and quiet away from all the chaos the UG has been in. It’s quite the annoyance you know.” He decided the dodge around the bush again but this time leave a subtle trail for the Reaper to pick up on. If he was smart, which Joshua knew he was, he may eventually find the answer he was looking for.

OOC
((So I've been inactive over the past few days, and unfortunately I'm going to be away for another few days, possibly longer. All the things I need to reply to are drafted, and I'll respond to them when I return. Sorry everyone. I'm very stressed/down at the moment (the details aren't something I'd like to go into) and on top of this I've got mock exams and real exams in the near future. So I need to catch up on some work. It would be appreciated if you all could bear with me for a while. Once more, my apologies. ))

Kariya had to bite his lip to stop himself from laughing. "Pretty sure it's also 'customary' not to brush someone off after you've acknowledged them hangin' around." He waved his hand in the air, dismissing the other's words. "I'm Koki Kariya. Now that we're friends, why don't you reveal who you are? And while you're at it, what you're here for would also be nice to know." She has what she came for...? Somethin' bad is always going on when someone uses a line like that. "Cause y'know it's not everyday that someone wanders into these parts of Shibuya." She didn't seem like a Player, and she definitely wasn't a Reaper... so how was she in the UG? Almost certain that there was more to this than meets the eye, he positioned his body to make any attempt of leaving the scene more difficult for her. Either he'd get to the bottom of this, or be erased trying.
Embracing the Darkness (M!A Shibunort'd) (OPEN)
This man, it was one of the Reapers. That was what could be uncovered from the spirit’s mind. She was proving difficult, the body was taken but the mind was setting up walls, denying information that could prove helpful. If that was the case, he would have to squeeze harder on her soul….but after this one was dealt with. “Is it not customary to introduce oneself before demanding such from another? How rude. In any case, I have no reason to reveal myself to you. I have what I came for.”
‘Leave him alone.’

Kariya hissed under his breath, stepping forwards to approach her. "A'ight. You got me. Now who are you?" His voice was dripping with suspicion. Although he wasn't exactly trying to hide himself, it was odd that she called him out on it so freely- without even a hint of anxiety. He paced a few more steps around so they were face to face. Raising an eyebrow at her, he quietly unwrapped a lollipop, slipping the sweet into his mouth as if he was completely and utterly unfazed. Somethin' very wrong here... The orange haired man thought to himself, trying to figure out if she was a threat. At the moment he couldn't really tell.
Embracing the Darkness (M!A Shibunort'd) (OPEN)
Well there was another good thing about this vessel besides the power it held. Being the city, he/she instantly knew if anyone was observing her, “Which means it is pointless for you to try and hide yourself.” The vessel was still proving to be difficult so it was impossible to tell exactly who it was, just that there was something there. ‘Soon enough my dear, you shall embrace the cool darkness and abandon your light.’ She/he mused to the captive self.
‘I would rather be erased than give into the likes of you!’
‘That can be arranged’
#spiritofshibuya#((^_^' Thanks#And alright#By the way- could I just check is this based in the UG or RG?

Realising he must have struck a chord with the younger man, Kariya scratched at the back of his neck, trying to think of a way to console Beat. He'd have likely been rather badly affected by it himself, but being in the Game for so long had lead the Reaper to become somewhat accustomed to these sorts of things. Although despite his general indifference, those three weeks had shaken him. The amount of erasure that occurred was needless (not to mention it would mean more work for him) but he wasn't going to mourn what couldn't be changed.
"It's a'ight Skulls. Nothin' that could be done to change it now." He shrugged, not moving his gaze. Listening patiently as Beat spoke of how... normal his life had become again,, Kariya couldn't deny that a slight stirring of envy had reared its ugly head. Of course as a Reaper he had more freedom, and could get away with things that previously wouldn't have been possible. That wasn't even to mention he didn't see why there'd be any point ever returning to his old life. But just hearing about how someone who'd worked through so much was able to essentially regain nigh on all they lost, was amazing. Amazing and just a little unfair. On top of that Beat seemed to have changed too... He shook his head to dispel the thoughts, given that he couldn't make up his mind over whether this was a good or bad thing. "Still, it's got to be better than hangin' around in the Game, right? Good to hear that you're pushing forwards." Tapping his fingers against the table a few times, he added quietly. "How's Skulls Jr. doin'...?" It likely wasn't the best subject to touch on, but he genuinely wished to know. Keeping his eyes trailed on the other, he hoped that he hadn't hit on too much of a sensitive issue.
The orange haired male had very much doubted that Beat would have refused the Ramen. From what he'd witnessed, the kid seemed partial to food. Not that he could say a bad word to that himself, given how much ramen he could demolish when given the chance. Perhaps he'd have to follow up Uzuki and worm a couple more free bowls out of her... "Anything in particular that you want?" He asked, moving to stand up so he could quickly order the food when the other had responded. Unable to think of exactly what to order himself, he did hope that Beat would provide him with some ideas.
Falling silent, Kariya averted his eyes to stare outside at the rain gently pattering against the windowpanes. In those few seconds the nerves he felt addressing this, alongside the anger at being possessed flickered in his eyes, betraying him. Quickly he turned back, returning to his normal disinterested self. "I have to say that I'm thankful, being erased would've been just a little counterproductive y'know- and everything I do is basically counterproductive anyway." He laughed. "But seriously, what happened then? The higher ups kept everythin' from us." A slight poisonous edge tainted his tone. Kariya figured that the other would give him the answers he craved if the right questions were posed... Although if anyone above him found out that he'd gone and found the details... the repercussions may not be too pleasant.
Beat lowered his gaze a little. A sharp pain shot right through his heart – at least it felt like that- when he thought about this one, special, last week of the game. After all – Neku and him – they were responsible for many people being erased... During that week, he had had no time to grieve properly, or to over-think all of those events, but when he came back to life and everything got a little calmer all of these emotions that he should have felt during the game, they hit him. And the impact had taken it´s toll on him – even if just a little.
Sure, as a Reaper, you were already dead – right? But still you had some sort of life – it had it´s limits, but apart from that? And then some of them were erased – right in front of their eyes , or even because of Neku and him.. . 777 ´s death had been really shocking – like a punch right into his face. That guy really had had a life – even as a dead man he´d still enjoyed it to his fullest, didn´t he? Hell, he even managed to switch between UG and RG and keep his band together and actually be successful! . . . and then the Iron Bitch killed him – and Def Märch alongside it´s vocalist – and the fate of the uprising star was just one of many, who really died throughout these days. “... sorry ta hear ´bout this”, was all he could reply – because yes, he felt guilty and no- he´d never been good with words. It had all been self-defense and that was how the game worked, aight? But still – but still... //Knock if off, man! You ain´t got time 2 feel sad, yo! What´s been done ´s been done...//
He looked back to the Reaper in front of him who seemed to be pretty okay with the loss of his work-mates. “Me?” He pointed his thumb towards himself in question, but quickly recovered from the little surprise. “Guess Life´s nearly back to normal”, he leaned back, now crossing his arms in front of his chest, this time the gesture wasn´t for defense or bringing more distance between the two of them – this time it was...well..just a gesture.
“School´s a pain in the ass ´n same with ma folks, but I ain´t gonna give up, can I?” He grinned – probably for the first time in hours this day – and he grinned even more when he heard about the invitation to a bowl of Ramen. Normally it´d always been Pinky `inviting` Kariya, since she always lost their games – and now his once mortal-enemy offered him noodles. He´d already eaten a bowl before, but hey! Ramen could never be of harm – and this shop was known for making the best noodles in all of Shibuya!
At first there´d been tension between the two of them – if this would´ve been part of the game, there´d be probably even a few noise outside of the shop, just waiting to see who radiated these strong emotions – but now it was gone. Beat had adjusted to the situation and even if Kariya had bad intentions – it was against the law of the game, killing or hurting Real-ground-people – at least he... thought he´d heard this once, or twice. Couldn´t really remember..
“Can´t say “no” ta that one!”, he smiled even wider, calmed himself a little though, when he saw the expression on the Reaper´s face. “.. would´a been wrong to kill you guys”, Beat admitted after a short while of silence. He felt a little uneasy, thinking about this specific situation, but after all he was glad they´d decided like this. “We jus´...left you there...hoping you´d be okay“

"Wasn't insultin' it, just disproving it." Kariya shrugged before falling silent. An interestin' story about work, friends, love? Meh, lets see what sort of things this booth's heard already then. "Well, for a start I'm dead." The Reaper laughed lightly. "N' I help oversee a game where people fight for their right to gain another chance at life." He paused for a few seconds, resting an elbow on top of the phone's main unit. "I've got a partner in all this, girl's called Uzuki and frankly our lives pretty much consist of erasing Players, and her havin' to buy me ramen." He was beginning to enjoy speaking to the booth, although the whole idea of it was still quite... peculiar.
Sometimes people could be so infuriating to the phone booth. “Don’t insult my genius plan!” Indignant, it took a pause to calm down. “An interesting story. About you? Like, what you do as a job, your friends, if you love anyone, that sort of thing. You have a story somewhere, so I wanna hear it.” Maybe his story would explain why the man was being so rude.
#thephoneboothoflove#Oh my God how many people follow this then? xD#A crack blog actually does sound really amusing :)

There was something very... off... with Shibuya today. Its heartbeat had changed- leaping to a more sinister, unnatural pace. The Reaper sat there, perched on the edge of a building, head tilted as he listened. A cold sense of dread settled in the pit of his stomach, what was going on...?
That was when he caught sight of a girl on the ground. Her appearance wasn't familiar, yet there was something about her that Kariya instantly recognized. Deciding to investigate, especially with there being something odd out there today, he made his way down to the street. He observed her from the shadows, paying close attention as she spoke. It wasn't just her words that set him on edge, but there was something in her tone. Unexpected occurrence? Untapped power...? Girl doesn't look like she's a Reaper... What's she goin' on about then? He crept closer, barely making a sound, wondering if this strange individual was the cause of the negative aura. That's ridiculous, how can one girl affect this whole place..?
Embracing the Darkness (M!A Shibunort'd) (OPEN)
She was clearly different. Once white hair now completely dyed black, and once purple eyes are now pools of gold. How it happened was uncertain but the Shibuya you knew and loved was a prisoner in her own spiritual body, even the city itself reflected a darker tone. Uplifting, peppy melodies were replaced by sober, dark hymns. “An unexpected occurrence but I would have to say, this untapped power is not unwanted. This could prove beneficial…” It was still her voice but it didn’t seem to be her at all…. There was a cause of course… Xehanort.
“Josh….help me…” She cried from her cage, unable to be heard and only to watch.
