Oooh, this has some dark undertones in it I really like. Never leaves campus? Probably made a deal with the gentry she'd be a famous writer, but in return she cannot escape the gentry. Fine, she thinks, no big deal. Except not only can she not physically leave campus, her writing must always reference the gentry and always in a positive light, promoting accepting favors and gifts from them to lure in naive youth.

One of the English professors in a professional author. She writes children's and young adult fantasy books, and almost all of them have some form of Fair Folk in them. They range from kind and helpful to clever and charming, bartering with the hero. Whatever they give the main character always seems to help them solve the puzzle, or beat their enemy. Although there are rumors that she's good enough to tour, she never seems to leave the campus. The gentry seem to get a kick out of her books.

Nothing is going to change. Americans love their guns more than they love people and after Sandy Hook we decided that killing over 20 children was acceptable and not outrageous enough to make reasonable restrictions on guns. This is America, a country that has been around for 200 years, a superpower, a 1st world nation, and one of the wealthiest countries on the planet and we refuse to protect our own people. We respect guns more than we respect the lives of people.
