don't get me wrong, i don't blame anyone for having a negative opinion of andrew given the incidents of racism, antisemitism, etc, all of that is enough for someone to lose trust from people. no matter how long ago it was, it all still leaves a bad taste in my mouth myself. but it's possible to have a nuanced perspective on a person and it's so baffling to me how biased people are against her in ways that aren't even relevant. like how quickly fans are to brush andrew off as a bad writer for no real reason. like "hussie wrote a good comic by accident." WHY is it so hard to believe that someone writing something that you like means that they are good at writing that thing. "hussie was a creep for writing a relationship between a 13 year old and a 19 year old." but the age gap is literally addressed as being wrong and meenah ends up breaking up with vriska. it's almost as if the comic you enjoyed for its in-depth characters and complex relationships had in-depth characters and complex relationships "well hussie only broke them up after being called out for it [citation needed]" the relationship was visibly unhealthy for it's entire duration so it must have been intentional "but hussie's self-insert tries to marry vriska so he's a creep" THE SELF INSERT IS AN ANTAGONIST THAT GETS BEAT UP BY VRISKA AT THE END YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO AGREE WITH IT "wellll it was all just written by accident idk how to explain it" 🪨🪨🪨🪨🪨🍅🍅🍅🥫🍅🥫🪨🪨🪨🪨🪨 THROWING THINGS
